I've been looking for a gluten free pizza and finally found the place!! A friend recommended Russo's and I'm sure glad I listened. We tried two variations, pesto, chicken, spinach and feta, the other plain cheese with red sauce. We got both to go and they looked as good as they tasted. Don't hesitate to order a pizza from Russo's, regular or gluten-free, they are made to order and have exceptional taste.
Impeccable service, we were graced with a server that actually cared how our food looked, tasted and if we enjoyed it. Top notch waiter for sure. The atmosphere is that of a typical good Italian family restaurant, loud, festive and odiferous. The pizza could be better but a Rastafarian type guy was handling the oven duties so he was probably stoned. The crust and toppings were vastly over cooked. That type of pizza needs to have the gooey dough, not the burnt cracker type. The salads were really good and the knots were decent. Their pesto pasta was AMAZING, try it!
Let me say that Russo's is a pretty good place to visit if you are in the area. This was our 1st visit and we ordered the Mulberry Pizza(all meats), the Greek salad and a bowl of chicken broda tortellini soup. The pizza crust is super thin on the bottom with a thicker outer crust. The pizza was a bit soggy on the bottom but the taste was nice. While not as good as my favorite Mellow Mushroom, still a good flavor. The soup and salad were both good but will get something else next visit. The restaurant is full service and just the right size. Pretty large menu so lots of items to try next visit.
