We randomly came across it today and was attracted to their Sunday happy hour$1 oyster deal. It was phenomenal. The oysters were fresh and the waitress took the time to explain the differences between the two. Hubby and soon had toad in a hole and fried veggies. The beef heart was tender with great taste. I'm so glad we found this place and will surely visit again!

A friend and I went for the first time and we were not disappointed!! We had the scallops, brisket burger, buffalo cauliflower, cheese plate, the roasted sweet potatoes and squash, and the fries. (I save up room when going to a new place, lol) The food was fantastic, service exceptional and had a great time. Can't wait to go back!

Lovely people and amazing food - patio is gorgeous and the dining room is very inviting. We are sure to order The Cottage Fries (unbelievable) and the Trio of Toasts on each visit. I can't wait to try the fall menu!

House cocktail was incredible. We ordered oysters, a cheese/charcuterie board, and mussels for two; hard to choose my favorite but the mussels were absolutely perfect. It was a quiet Sunday night but our server made sure we had a great experience. The staff recommendations for beer and food were helpful and overall couldn't have asked for a better date night!

We came for just a few glasses of wine and some appetizers before doing dinner elsewhere and were immediately greeted warmly. We got fried brussel sprouts and fries for apps and they were so good and the vibe was so cozy we switched to getting dinner at the place! It was super tasty, well made food, and the wine was excellent and very reasonably priced. We are huge fans and will be back!!!

We went on a Thursday night for date night and had a great time. The staff was friendly. They were extremely knowledgeable about the wine and food pairings. the staff was generous with recommendations for us to try. The rabbit sliders were amazing (smokey BBQ) and worth going back for. The wings were a unique delight and cooked perfectly. The style of sauce was very different then we have had in the past (spoiler alert, they use fish sauce). The brisket burger was juicy and full of flavor. They split if for us as we were sharing the dish. The experience was exceptional and the wine list was small, easy to navigate with new wines for us to try. We would gladly recommend for a fun date night or drinks after work.

What is there not to like about this place! First, check out their website, where you can meet the folks who work there and read their philosophy about food. Then go, and find it nestled amongst houses in Gordon Square. Be greeted when you walk in. And today, on a random Wednesday, they were swamped. Willburr (the amazing bartender) and Celie (sp) still found time to greet us and let us know they were coming. Yes, we had to wait, but when you see the bartender seating guests, serving plates, and making dishes then you need to have patience and be kind. And the food? THE FOOD! You can't order a wrong thing! My husband, a former chef, noticed that the menu was different from the last time we were there, and they let us know they have a new drink menu starting next week. If that's not the mark of a great restaurant... For gosh sakes, I simply described the kind of wine I wanted and Willburr poured me EXACTLY what I didn't know I wanted! My husband began to refer to our experience tonight as "the Willburr experience". It was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this place. It's just so good thru and thru.

We had a really nice brunch here, the scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and the country fried seitan was a unique vegetarian spin on a classic dish.

Toast is my favorite restaurant of all time! The bar is stocked with only the best, top shelf brands of liquor from apperitif like Campari to digestif like Fernet Branca; a great selection of Bourbon and Scotch; and careful selections of wines and beers. On to the food! The menu seems to change with the season and what is available so there's always something new and interesting to eat. The charcuterie and cheese boards are always delicious with selections of house made dried meats, patte, hard cheese, mild cheese, house made jams. Unlike every other restaurant that claims to have a charcuterie board and let's you guess what you're eating, the waitresses at Toast give an explanation of everything on the board. Do yourself a favor and get an order of the house pickled vegetables to go with the charcuterie. The menu has other appetizers and small plates. The grilled radicchio is a great choice. For main course I had ravioli with Speck, capers, and sweet breads. Outstanding! But you can never go wrong with the hangar steak or the brisket burger, the only two mainstays on the menu. You can have all of this deliciousness in a casual, relaxed setting, with great music, and impeccable service.

My husband and I have been here a couple of times before. Once for Valentine's Day dinner which was fabulous and another time for brunch with friends from out of town. We decided to take our mothers to a very belated Mother's Day brunch at this little eatery that has so many wonderfully local sourced products. We sat outside under the giant tree that provided shade for all the outdoor tables. The server was polite attentive, and very sweet. Our food arrived very timely, cocktails and coffee were great. We were happy to tip well for the wonderful service and food. I would highly recommend that you take the opportunity to go here whenever you can!
