Was my first time in there and was a really good experience. The food was really really good. The employees were really cool and helpful. Would highly recommend one of their margaritas to go along with your food. Would highly recommend this place.
My husband and I have wanted to try this place since it opened and I wish I would have tried it sooner!! Everything was fresh and
delicious! I got the burrito bowl which ended up being two meals for me. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a fresh take on Mexican food. The menu has a lot to pick from and I noticed they had a lot of drink choices as well (margaritas, fresh squeezed drinks and beer) Definitely want to come back to try a margarita. My new favorite Mexican restaurant!
Always great food, great drinks, great service. Family owned and you can tell. They obviously take great care of their staff because the staff takes great care of their guests. I try to eat there atleast once a week!!
The most awesome burritos we have ever had! And the guacamole was so fresh and delicious. I love that they have so many vegetarian options like the sweet potato and black bean burrito. A fun place in a great location with awesome food!
What a great place! if you happen to be in Lakewood it's worth the stop. Nice menu, beer selection and great food. Not only was the staff very efficient but fun to hang out with. Good job guys!!!!!! Two thumbs up.

My boyfriend and I just moved to Lakewood from Las Vegas and all we've known is west coast Mexican food. The burritos were literally the best we've ever had! We were so impressed we bought two tickets to the tequila tasting and dinner Monday! So excited.

My mom set up a party at this restaurant last night. The wait staff was unbelievably wonderful! She was on top of everything, refilled drinks without being asked and often came by just to check on us. There were 12 people at our table! The food was fast and so good! Thank you Taco Tontos! I went here not really knowing what to expect. I was definitely not disappointed! The one taco I got was the size of 3 tacos anywhere else. The selection of add ons to put on your taco was nice so you can completely customize it to whatever you like. The variety and unique margaritas was a bonus!

I think this is the best burrito in Cleveland. They have a huge offering an will customize almost anything. Vegetarian offerings - great for vegetarians but they are willing to toss meat into something to cater to you (I tried the "Kick Ass Kale" and added Steak once and Chicken on another visit. Who would have thought that I'd like Kale). I have to recommend (if you can stand a little heat) the "Smokey Chipotle sauce". It is awesome and is worth the slight up charge. I can't say that I will never eat at Chipotle or Moe's again b/c sometimes they are just in the right place at the right time. But, when in lakewood - I prefer to eat at TACO TONTOS!
Not bad. Good but not my favorite. The burritos are huge so it's a pretty good deal. It's really small so seating can be tricky but the decor is awesome.
Love this place. every time we've gone to Tonto's, we've received excellent service - even on the busiest nights. all the fresh ingredients are a welcome change & there are plenty of vegetarian & vegan options for non-meat eaters. the homemade sauce is so good we buy bottles to take home, margaritas are delicious - fresh made, no overly sour mixes - and there is a great rotating craft beer selection on tap. you won't leave hungry either - portions here are generous. great addition to Lakewood!

Chipolte on Speed. I am not a big fan of Mexican food other than the almighty burrito. Needless to say I have had a lot of burritos in my life ranging from authentic restaurants to taco bell. In the past I have been impressed with the sheer size and or quality of ingredients used. Taco Tanto's does not and will not disappoint in either of these categories. The size of this burrito is above average, and is more filling than others because they go heavy on the meat instead of a lot of rice like chipolte and others do. The ingredients are all top notch including their amazing mild or hot homemade sauces that are provided at your table & for sale by the bottle. Oh and did I mention they offer the option to bake your burrito which I highly recommend. When this is done not only does it melt the cheese and seal off all the openings making it easier to eat, it infuses all of these amazing flavors into one. Also the craft beer selection at this place is the best I have ever seen at a Mexican restaurant, they had 4 very good beers on tap and countless options by the bottle. I am not a mixed drink person, but if you are there was plenty to choose from. The staff was very impressive, the bartender/waiter checked on us multiple times and so did the manager. This is above and beyond the best burrito joint in the Cleveland area.

Awesome. Fresh tasting, plus lots of topping options to add to your food. Takes longer than a Chipotle type place, but food quality is superior. plus they have a great selection of micro brews on draft and in bottles that you can enjoy at the bar while you wait.
Good, fresh food. I've been to Taco Tonto's on several occasions and have always had good food and service. The baked burrito is a much different flavor than your typical Chipotle, but the ingredients are always fresh. I would highly recommend getting a salsa on your burrito/taco or you may feel like it's kind of bland. Corn salsa is my favorite, but the smokey chipotle is good, too. I have to try more of their daily specials.
Can't wait for seconds!. I've only made it in once but I'm definitely heading back! The first few times I tried the line was out the door, and for good reason too. The food was fresh and filing, and only like Taco Bell or Chipolte (as another reviewer has suggested) in the low price. I tried the sweet potato and black bean burrito with a side of a citrus cilantro dressing and it was great, cheap, filling and tasty. My son had the regular potato burrito and it was even better. The drinks are equally good, and they don't skimp.
The staff was also great, not nasty when I asked about ingredients (unlike another Mexican place in town), and generally helpful.
Yes it is small,and yes you have to order at a counter and pick up your meal, but who cares? I don't think Taco Tonto's pretends to be anything but what it is, and what it is a great addition to Lakewood's diverse dining scene.
First time going to Taco Tonto's in years! I think the last time I went was to the Kent location and I believe this was my first time at this location. The food was very delicious! The place was busy but the one server on shift did a great job serving everyone! I'll definitely be back to Taco Tonto's!

I adore taco tantos! they are extremely friendly and have incredible food. The steak burrito is amazing, the queso is the best thing you ever have, and their other dips are amazing too! i look forward to eating here all the time!
One of my favorite places for tacos or burritos. The sizes are large with fresh and flavorful ingredients. The service is always friendly and quick. I like the booths, quite comfy. Honestly all around a fun and good place to get your taco Tuesday on
I love throwing Taco Tanto’s in the mix one in a while. $7 tacos seem steep but they’re huge so 1 is more than sufficient for most!
Unfortunately I agree with others who say the food is a bit bland - it’s good, but every time I throw this place in the mix I’m reminded why it’s been so long since I’ve been back (though the potato taco was exceptionally bland). It won’t stop me from supporting a solid place like this every once in a while.
They have the most kind staff. I’ve had some of the best experiences here with friends. The food is also so amazing every time.

Had dinner here last week after being recommended by a friend. The food was really good and their margaritas were also fantastic. Prices were decent and we were able to get quick service, despite it being really busy.
Food wise this place has excellent grub. The restaurant itself is small noisy and crowded. Great for a date or a small group of friends. Not a family night with kids out though. Waitresses are attractive, attentive and clean which is always a plus.
Busy busy place with awesome food. The price was alright for the portions, but the quality didn't quite match. Can't complain though, the food quality was high though the overall entree wasn't as great.
Drinks were the real highlight - well worth the cost and delicious.
Small place, but big flavor. So many options and customizations available- including vegetarian and vegan. We tried on a Saturday and wanted to make a repeat visit on Sunday, but alas, they're closed on Sunday and Monday. We will definitely be back though... so good. Can't recommend enough.
I love this place, the only problem is how far away I have to drive to get here lol Four of us ate dinner, got drinks, and left a tip for right around $105. Always friendly, always delicious. The mango salsa is a must!!
I travel all over the USA and Canada and is hard to find good places to eat. This place was great. The bartender Stevie was great and great to talk to. Overall great experience
