This is by far the best asian food around. The quality of the food is perfect and it is authentic. There is the regular munge and the Chinese menu which is all photos of each dish. The service is excellent and no one ever leaves hungry!!! I have been coming here for years and love it. The prices are very reasonable, too!
Alicia and I got there with only a little time left to make it to Playhouse Square for our show at 8:00. I only had to say that we were in a hurry and they responded quickly to get us on our way. The pupu platter was excellent and a great choice for a quick bite. I can't wait to go back when I have more time !

I think I started eating your food since I was 10. But, I loved it ever since!!! Tasty food with awesome portions, always loved the combination rice or combo lo-mein. Will continue recommending this place to my friends

Don't ask me the name of this dish. One of the managers had it so I took a picture of it and went to the Chinese restaurant and showed them the picture. They said okay ready in 10 minutes!!! LOL When I was finished, there were 10 shrimps and Fried Rice still left. The food was amazing!!! I will be going there again soon.
By far, the best Chinese take-out I've ever had. The dining room is also very nice, and the place is quite busy most of the time. Love their Mei Fun and General Tso Chicken!

Delicious food. Remember to order off the Chinese Picture menu versus the standard menu. Much larger, fresher, tastier portions. Kung-Pao Chicken, Scallops in Black Bean sauce, and Lions-head Soup are all incredible!!

Best place for seafood! Their seafood is very fresh. If you want lobster, you may need to order one day before so they can buy from market for you. Shrimps are highly recommended, juicy!

The food here is amazing! This is my 3rd visit and I've been fortunate enough to come at the right time where it is not busy and the food quality seems to have that extra care. During my 3rd visit, the dishes my group had were Spicy Tofu, Bok Choi, Spicy Scheuan Fish, and the Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs. Everything was amazing. I'd definitely keep some dishes to myself if I wasn't in a group 🤣

Absolutely loved this place! They have the biggest dumplings I've ever received from a restaurant. The soup is amazing! The restaurant is small but beautiful inside and staff are extremely helpful and friendly! I will definitely be going back!!!
This location seems to be consistent with the quality of their food. I've had really good experiences there. They give you Really good portion sizes and when they serve the food it's actually hot. You can do dine-in or carry-out. You should give this place a try.
Hunan East has a secret menu with more authentic Hunan cuisine. Attached are some of the items. I recommend the frog legs and snow pea pod sprouts
Reason I give this great place a 4 is their menu doesn't give a description of the items. That and some of the appetizers were a little bland. The main course items, the giant shrimp toast and the egg foo young that looked like an ostrich egg was used to make themon the serving piece were very good.

Hunan East hold a special place in my heart. My whole family would eat there since I was very young and the food is always delicious and cheap.
Much of the menu leans American-Chinese UNLESS you ask for the BIG menu. The little yellow take-out menus are TINY in comparison to the big menu!
The staff is always happy to serve us traditionally made food if we asked! My adoptive parents are not Chinese, but the staff was always so warm and kind to my family as my parents explained that they were trying to find places with traditional food for my sister and I to try. They start off all dishes (even the ones marked spicy) as pretty mild compared to what was explained to me as "Hunan spicy" if you're adventurous!
The food is well-priced and you get HUGE portions. I no longer live in Cleveland but I always make a point to stop by Hunan East to get lo mein, general tso's, steamed dumplings with a rich meaty filling and thick-chewy dough, and see the same wonderful and hardworking owners.
I love you, Hunan East <3 and so did my family when we lived in Cleveland.
The best Chinese-Chinese food in Ohio. Baby Bok Choi is the dish. Fresh everyday or they will not serve it. It you cant read the Chinese menu, just ask for recommendations with your favorite items, ie, chicken, tofu, whatever.
I’ve been eating here for years. It tends toward the Chinese American type of Chinese food but that’s fine for me! The staff is always nice. Good prices and nice portions. I have no negative thoughts about this fine establishment.
Ask for the Chinese menu ("picture menu"). Some amazing dishes. The best Chinese restaurant on east side if you open to finding some new favorites.
This is take out only. I miss the dine-in experience because we do not live close.

Awesome!! The food is delicious and healthy! You definitely get your money's worth!! Orders are taken quickly, the wait time is precisely what they inform you. The employees are always happy to see you and they welcome you like family. I ordered the vegetable fried rice, it's the best in the city. Highly recommend!!
