Best little diner.. My family goes to Gabe's quite often. Service is very friendly and fast, fast, fast. Five people get breakfast for under $40. Never had a bad meal.

Best breakfast in town. My fiance and I have been going to Gabe's for breakfast just about every weekend for at least a year. We've taken my sister, who is a total restaurant snob, and she even loved it. You can't beat the prices, and we've never been disappointed in either food or service. The one time my waffle wasn't cooked all the way through, the waitress whisked it away and quickly produced a new one. They're also great about special requests. I love crispy bacon and when I ask, that's exactly what I get.

$2.99 Special. We love this neighborhood diner and frequent there almost once a weekend. Their $2.99 egg special can't be beat in quality and quantity!

Reliable and Loyal. My husband and I stumbled across Gabe's when we first moved to the neighborhood more than a year and a half ago. We have continued to go back, again and again, and have NEVER had poor service and NEVER had a bad meal. It's a low key establishment. What you see is what you get, with few frills or luxuries. But, what you GET is consistent family diner food- all you can eat fish fries (worth eating LOTS of), fluffy omelets, killer breakfast potatoes, perfect tuna salad.. burgers, pitas, soups, ... the list goes on. We go on our lunch hour, on our days off, and for brunch on the weekends. We've even taken friends who agree, it's just good. It is OUR family restaurant, and I'd go so far as to say, we miss it when we go a few weeks without stopping in.

Locals agree, this is simply the best family diner around. Reasonable prices and large portions. I’ve been coming here since I was little. Excellent breakfast and lunch, a few personal favorites are the skillets, the eggs Benedict, and the open-face turkey. Be sure to look at the specials (banana bread French toast in my photo - yummm!). Also a great atmosphere! If you’re coming to the area for the Cleveland Zoo this is a great stop for breakfast beforehand.

We ordered the crescent sandwich with egg, cheese, and bacon; chicken and waffles, the country fried veal, and a small order of sausage gravy and biscuits. The gravy was pretty standard but everything else was above par! Also the service was OUTSTANDING.

Popped in for a quick breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the casual homey atmosphere. The place was packed but we were seated quickly and the service was quick, attentive, and wonderful. A lot of restaurants could use a couple of hospitality lessons from Gabe's, as the service is that friendly and authentic. The food is delicious, looks and feels as if home-cooked at bargain prices.

Really glad I came here today. This is the best breakfast I had in a while. I splurged, and I don’t regret it. I ordered the Mediterranean Omelette off the breakfast specials menu. This thing is loaded with spinach, olives, and especially feta cheese, which is bursting out when i cut into it. Delightful. The potatoes are extra crispy on top, which frankly I think is the right way to do it. I don’t think there were any spices on them, with salt and pepper on the table, and hot sauce dropped off with the meal. The coffee was good and not too strong. I haven’t found the bottom of my cup, and anytime I desired service, it was there before I knew it. Thank you. The music isn’t too loud, which is such a common problem at other places; thank you for not overstimulating me. The building is quaint and classic, comfortable and not flashy. I didn’t even put on my headphones here. There are plants above the dividers, and hanging by the window; I think they are all real and living. What an invitation this is to bring my own life in. I went on a weekday around noon. I was able to park right next to the door. They have parking on both sides of the restaurant, with doors on both sides. They’re a convenient short drive from the 490, and situated on a corner with entry from both cross streets. I can see the bus stop across the street too. The prices were very fair. My whole meal with tax and a great tip is gonna be less than just the meal at many other places. Easy to justify returning. One of life’s great pleasures is finding a diner off the highway that obviously cares about making its guests feel at home. Heartily, bravo.

Found this little gem searching on Google maps. The servers are very helpful and provide great customer service. The omelets are good and the smoothies are delicious. Would definitely be back to try something different.

I would have gave it a three and a half Stars because of simple fact is the soup and the service the waitress was constantly on me when I first got in asking me what I want if I'm ready I just sat down I haven't even made my coffee and she kept on constantly every 3 seconds asked me am I ready I did not like that at all but otherwise I love the place the coffee was great I gotten the Brooklyn Burger the half pound one it was $8.99 the bowl of soup was horrible I gotten the chicken noodle soup and it should be renamed just noodle soup because that's all it came in that soup and for $2.99 it is not worth it whatsoever but I do encourage anybody to go there because they do have good food and burger was freaking phenomenal I enjoyed it so much and I love the coffee...

Good home cooking, plentiful amounts of food and fast service. It's almost always busy but the wait is never that long.
