A welcoming deli. Stopped in early morning as was treated to freshly made pizza and a great Italian sub. This little place is right next to a Subway which does not even come close to comparing with what Deanatella's has to offer. Freshly created home made receipts by family that his been there for years at take away prices. This place is a great find.
Big Boy's know GOOD FOOD!. I have been eating at Deanatella's since 2005. I love their subs as well as the pizza. Flavor wise you cannot beat the pizza. I have traveled the entire U.S. and have eaten many "types" of pizza. Next to New york and New Jersey, Deanatella's has the best tasting pizza I have had! And at $6.95 for a sub adding double meat is a bargain. The only draw back is their hours. They open @ 7am and close @4 or 5pm. And are closed on the weekends.
Great Subs....when they are open!!!. This place is next door to a subway and I laugh every time I go there and the line for subway is out the door. The subs here are a million times better than Subway!!!
The issue I have encountered with them over the last year is their vacation schedule and lack of communication with customers. I used to work 5 min from here...now it is closer to 15. I have twice in the last 6 months drove here and they were closed. Currently they are closed from 6/12-7/2 but how is anyone supposed to know that? They have a website but it is all static pages...maybe a news page would help? Of course a facebook page would be an easy way to connect with customers.
Good takeout. Good sandwiches. Best pizza around.....you can buy it by the slice (premade) or order sheet pizzas if you like. This is the thick bread with heavy crust, not NY style. Their white pizza is really good. Sausage topping appears to be homemade. Order a pizza to take home...you will be glad you did.
Wow. Had the chicken Parm and it was great. 6.95 for such a huge sandwich. Very good and worth it. Could use a little more seasoning (salt oregano) but that's just me.
Their Italian sub and hot peppers are amazing. You get a good amount of meat for your dollar.
Its a piece of Little Italy deli down in the Valley, staff is awesome... Chicken parmesan on a fresh hoagie style bun is on point... Sausage and peppers with mozzarella on hoagie bun is a favorite along with the fresh made white pizza sold by the slice or the antipasto salad is just delicious. All servings are plentiful. Coca-Cola products.
We live an hour and a half away in Ashland County. We just happened to be in the area and wanted to try something "local" and not a chain. We found Deanatella's on "maps". This, by far, is the best food I've ever eaten. We will definitely drive the hour and a half to come back. What a hidden Gem. Thank you to the staff at Deanatella's for makimg suggestions and overall just being great. We've already told friends and family to make the drive. Hopefully we'll see you again soon!
Hidden gem!!! You have to try the stuffed pepper sub it is incredible and fairly priced. They bake the bread fresh here everyday and offer most things to go. Please do yourself a favor and stop in and try their fresh delicious food.
Bread is made fresh daily and tastes like it too. It was my first time there and Id definitely be going back

Awesome subs. Great bang for the $, these things are massive. Haven't had pizza but it looks really good. Very fast service. I have no idea how the Subway next door stays in business.
As someone from a hour outside of NYC, a good slice is vital to my diet. This place has the best Slice I've had since moving here and I've tried almost 10 other places. Real Italians making real pizza 8.4 on the Slice.

Bread is fresh baked, you can order it toasted or not. Pizza is fresh but you do have to ask for it to be warmed. Dint complain if you don't ask!!!
The food is great! Pizza is delicious and sold by the slice. Our favorite is the stuffed banana pepper sub and the itialian sub with olive spread.
Awesome little Italian Deli. The meatball sub was good and the girlfriend really liked the veggie sub.

Stuffed hot peppers are a 10/10 always, and that sauce is ridiculously good.
The sheet pizza is also on point and probably the best I have had in the Cleveland area. Only knock is they wont sell me a few sub buns when I order (I get it... but hook me up with that fresh bread action if im getting peppers and sauce)

OMG sausage sub was delicious and had old school flavor. I was in the are because my son had surgery at the sports center. I will drive the 14 miles/21 minutes from my home to eat there again. I have been looking for that flavor again for a long time. When I walked in it smelled like what I remembered as a child eating from some great pizza bakeries. My experience was Mark Weins should try this place good.
Absolute BEST pizza I have ever had (the white is my favorite)!! I have been to many Italian delis and this place has has the best pizza.
Great subs with the freshest sub buns ever (baked every morning so I was told).
My only critique is next time I will ask for the Italian dressing on the side. My sub was dressed too heavy for my taste. Location has two small tables to seat 4 total. Definitely worth the 30 minute drive.
I’m a food fan much like you I’m sure. I was Recommended to try your Italian sub with muffuletta relish. Awesome sub, it was the highlight of my day and I rarely take the time to write reviews. I’ll be back
