Good made to order food none of that has been under a lamp for ever !
Breakfast bowl rocks as do the sweet potato fries with dip. Ruben sandwich and burgers are also really good.
Portions are a good value for the $

Only Burger I'll Eat. Love everything from here, but my fave is the Old Skool Burger. Chef knows exactly how I like it cooked and it's awesome! Won't eat a burger from anywhere else! Also like the turkey & swiss on wheat toast - hot or cold its yummy! Can't say enough about how good the food is, the polite staff and how clean the place is! EVERYONE SHOULD TRY IT...
Loved it. My husband and I visit Cleveland to see family, when in town we visit The Chef's House. We were there on May 28th, both had the special for that day lasagna. It was good not to much cheese or sauce. The salad that came with it was very good size.
The service was great, Mrs. Anderson came around to our table to check on us, our server was very attentive.. The restaurant itself was very clean and family friendly..
We have been to the Chef's House the last 2 times we have came to town. Do I plan to go back on our return visit. You better believe it....

Surprisingly Good!. A friend and I decided to visit the Chef's House for the Monday Cajun Day lunch special on 8/20/12. The special that particular day was something called "Shrimp Stew" and garlic bread with a side salad and side dish of yellow squash and onions. We really like shrimp prepared a number of ways, but had never heard of a shrimp stew and were a little skeptical as to how it would taste, but decided to try it anyway since everything else we've ever ordered at the Chef's House was so tasty.
Wow! I'm here to tell you the "Shrimp Stew" served over rice was utterly wonderful! The shrimp were medium to large in size with a tomato stew base full of bell pepper, onion, and other tasty herbs with just enough "zing" to satisfy the taste buds. The yellow squash and onion side dish literally melted in your mouth! The side salad was a delight with fresh lettuce, carrots, cabbage, and tomato wedges, especially when I added the chef made Thousand Island dressing that I had requested be served on the side. The fresh garlic bread was just the right thing to make sure I was able to get every drop of that wonderful stew!
I truly enjoy a good dessert, but my hunger was satisfied after eating that terrific lunch special. The dessert case drew my attention anyway. Momma's dessert offerings that day included a strawberry custard pie, beautiful apple pie, double chocolate cheese cake, and hummingbird cake in addition to some cookies and fruit bowls.
One of my hobbies is feeding and watching hummingbirds on the back porch, but I had never heard of a hummingbird cake. It sure looked like it would be tasty and was provided a taste sample by owner Amelia Anderson. That did it, I was hooked! Although I was not hungry at the moment, I knew that cake would make a really tasty afternoon treat with my hot tea or coffee and left the restaurant with a take-out container of hummingbird cake to enjoy on the back porch while watching the hummingbirds that afternoon.
Yep, that hummingbird cake sure tasted good with a cup of coffee on the back porch that afternoon!
Food. They have awesome food, I love going to eat at the chef's house, its nice to have a place that takes orders for you to go and they have awesome homemade pie or dessert's, the food is always made fresh.
I ordered the philly cheese steak and my husband ordered the Bad Breath Burger. The food was delicious, and was also huge - my leftovers were sufficient for the next day's lunch! My husband impressed with the burger, which was made from fresh hand-ground beef and how big they are and the fill him up. The curly fries and sweet potato fries were tasty side orders. The service is friendly and the dining area was bright and well-maintained. we will be back to The Chef's House a lot!!
Well I must say its awful nice to have a place that takes orders for any kind of homemade pie or dessert you could want. We have gotten a couple of different homemade cobblers that were just like my mom used to make. Brought back many childhood memories. Great job to the pie cook! On a side note my wife read the review below and demanded I add her comments in what was written. So here goes her quote " I've been eating at the Chefs House since January this year and without question they have the best potatoe soup I've eaten in my 47 years! As far as the pepper I always have to add more. Not trying to blast anyone just didn't want everyone to judge it off that's review solely." End quote. That is word for word what my wife said so please don't be mad at me I'm just the messenger trying to keep the wife happy. Lol
The food was fresh and delicious. We watched the chef grab a fresh jalepeno to add to the hash I ordered. I went with my 2yr old daughter and 11 yr old son. I ordered pancakes for my daughter and the waitress had asked him to make a Minnie Mouse shaped one to match my daughters shirt. It was wonderful and above and beyond. My son ordered eggs, bacon and grits. He loved them all. I ordered the hash and it was great. Tasted very fresh. It took awhile to get the food, but I told my son they made everything from scratch so that was to be expected. The place was very clean. The prices are a little high for the portion size, but overall a great experience. I will be back many times.
Amazing food! Great service and a huge portion!!!
I had a car accident. The police had us move cars to their parking area. While i waited for a tow truck the waitress brought me a coke and a cookie. It was so kind if her to go out of her way. I have eaten lunch there before and it was excellent with large portions and excellent pricing.
Excellent very friendly family owned & run restaurant. Portions always more than enough. Healthy foods. Wonderful chef...Friendly service. Have it your way even if not on menu. Homemade deserts.Yummy! Oh yes...very clean!
