food was excellent! i had orange chicken breast. food was perfectly prepared service was great. nice atmosphere very calm and inviting. prices are great for the overall experience i definitely recommend this for "grandmother meets head chef style" fine southern cuisine. impressed every time!
Been here about twenty times in the past 8 months Prime Rib Friday night is awesome,best grits in Western Carolina Mary and Steve thanks for opening this place up now I don't have too drive to Asheville for great dinner
Amazing. Wonderful employee. - I was in town from Minnesota and someone recommend the Rooster for Southern cooking. The food was fresh and amazing. My server was so nice and the atmosphere was like stepping back in time to the 50's with families with all generations dining together. Can't wait to go back !
This restaurant is a must every time we are in the area. The food is very well prepared. We shared the sourwood grilled chicken and paired it with a vegetable plate. I love that you can choose fried green tomatoes as a side. Best i’ve Had any where.
This is definately my fave new place to eat..i rarely eat local because i am always in asheville, but the food is amazing! Great value, and great, friendly service...love, love it...

Well you know you are in the South when you walk in and the hostess cheerfully greets you with "Welcome to the ROOSTER!" �
The staff was friendly and accommodating last night. The country rooster decor was charming. And the southern food was incredible. Drank my first official Southern Sweet Tea (I know!) straight up in a cute little jelly jar and it was fresh and not overly sweet, like I had been warned by everybody in the South. I had the special last night – fried chicken livers, and I chose fried green tomatoes and the mashed potatoes as my sides. Everything was hot, crispy and delicious! The seasoning was just right. The chicken livers were crunchy and tasty all on their own, but I got the chicken gravy on the side to dip them in and made them even better. And creamy, buttery potatoes, just like mom made. And I never tried fried green tomatoes before; the crispy coating was just right, and you could taste the fresh slice of tomatoes inside.
I would stop here any chance I could to enjoy their food and hospitality anytime. Thank you, ladies!

I ate st the Blue Rooster yesterday. Our waitress was great. And the grits was the best this southern girl ever had. Do you give out the recipe? I’d love to fix it for my friends in Texas.
A Bryson City local told us that we HAD to try the Blue Rooster. So we did. WOW. Fabulous food and service. We will be back every time we get back to the mountains. It's worth the drive no matter how far! Loved it!

Great food at a great price. I had the ribye, and it was the best steak I have had in years. The salads are amazing as well! Definitely going there in the future when I have my steak cravings lol. The food was so good in fact that I was compelled to call and speak to a manager about how great it is.

We celebrated a birthday. The food, service, and atmosphere was excellent, The only problem was the birthday boy didn't have room for dessert after the awesome prime rib.
Wow first time eating here, but it will not be the last. We started off with the onion strings and barbecue ranch. Oh my that sauce!! Hubby and I then ordered the fried chicken special. Let me just say it was sooo delicious!! Our sides were green beans, baked potato salad, fried okra and creamed potatoes with gravy. We shared our sides and they were all so good! The yeast rolls are yummy as well. Our waitress was so sweet and polite and checked on us many times. I can’t wait to come back.
What a wonderful delicious spot. We started our vacation off right by stopping off here for lunch! Service was great and literally everything we ate was swoon worthy. Go on Thursdays to get sweet potato casserole!! So good. We’re going back for dinner tomorrow!

First time here, and we were amazed, friendly staff, awesome food. Some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. Great Cole slaw, good okra, the potato salad was good, but the ranch in it takes away from it. Looking forward to the next visit. And great pecan cobbler.
Always a treat to be at Blue Rooster. The team is wonderful and always do a great job. Dessert, entrees, drinks are all great and especially that house made ranch. If you haven’t given them a shot yet you should. Plus they’re closed weekends so the staff can be with family which is great. The specials also change daily and seasonally so there’s always something good to try.
I have been to 49 states and have tried Philly steak sandwiches in a lot so when I say it was sensational, I say that with real experience! The steak was tender and cooked perfectly, and the fat content was on point. I'm glad we stumbled upon this gem. Oh, they raise money for Children of the Mountain, a non-profit. Seems like real genuine people.
My husband and I were visiting Cataloochee today and wanted to find a restaurant not too far away in Waynesville, where we’re staying overnight.
Blue Rooster had good ratings, so we picked this restaurant. Service was fast and the food was so good. I had a buffalo chicken quesadilla with chunky blue cheese dipping sauce and fresh coleslaw. My 6’ 4” husband had the Sweet Caroline Burger. It looked like about a half lb. patty and it was too tall to fit in his mouth. He had to use a fork and knife.
The place filled up fast on a Thursday evening, and I can see why. Definitely recommend.
Wow! What a GREAT find! This is a MUST visit for your bucket list! If you are in the Maggie Valley / Waynesville area and you want some amazing food AND amazing service…stop here! There cast iron skillet cornbread makes a great appetizer! I had the skillet fried chicken with mashed potatoes and fresh slice onion while the wife went for the citrus grilled shrimp and fried okra. JUST amazing…and their white bean chicken chili..best I’ve EVER had. We will be back ASAP! Our server Mateo was one of the nicest and attentive we’ve ever had. The decor is just beautiful and it’s a very clean and welcoming place. Thank you Blue Rooster for a refreshing experience!

Delicious food! One of the best burgers I've ever had called Amazing Grace! Wow it was good. Yummy bread rolls also lol. Slightly pricey but I believe it's fair due to how delicious everything is here. Friendly staff too.
We finally made it for prime rib Friday, and it did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious! I'm very picky about prime rib and I'm happy to say this was one of the best I've tasted around this area.
The chicken noodle soup was very tasty as well.
Our server was friendly and attentive. An overall excellent experience.
