Can't say enough good things about this place! We were welcomed so warmly by our server Mary, she was just awesome! Great lobster omelet and lobster roll! We just happened upon this place as we're from Texas and we're so glad we did!
Its the best lunch place on the south shore, some of the friendliest staff and one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure to work at.

We came in before I saw your response re: byob. But I ran out quickly and brought a bottle back. The salad, bolognese & meatloaf were fantastic! We'll come back... we'll spread the word as well. Definitely a local hidden gem! Great service too!
Greeted warmly & served quickly. Hippie Chick is fav French toast. Highly recommend!

I had the flavorful egg, bacon, avocado, spinach, tomato sandwich! My husband had the savory cinnamon roll French toast. I highly recommend both!

I love this place food is good and everyone is friendly
Great dinner, fish was perfectly prepared and the pasta (bolognese and bucatini) was great.
Terrific food, friendly staff....what's not to love!?!?!?!
The brunch was fantastic and I'm looking forward to eating my way through the menu!
One of my all-time favorite food places! I absolutely love the black bean salad, Vermont getaway or turkey avacado and bacon sandwich, and the yummy soups.
Best place ever!!!! Never had anything but an outstanding meal. Love it!
Truly the best chicken cordon bleu I've had... thank you!

The food was amazing with more than generous portions and great service.
LOBSTER ALERT!
I think I just accidentally found the best lobster roll south of Essex County! If you like a HUGE portion of bodacious crustaceous deliciousness I strongly encourage making the drive from Boston.
Get the Gooey Louis. It is a massive lobster melt on sourdough. The clam chowder was good too but I literally took home more than half of what I dub the "KING LOUIS."
IMPORTANT HEADS UP:
They have 4 tables. They may add more for the summer, but for now call ahead or be ready to take a stroll along the harbor or check out the downtown shops.
The Nashville chicken sandwich was verrrrrry good, and even for this Texan with a high tolerance for spice, it had a really good kick!
My wife had the Korean BBQ sandwich and loved it.
I'd stay away from the chicken pesto wrap, though. It wasn't well-wrapped, and according to the person who ordered it, it had very little pesto flavor (and not much flavor in general).
Overall a good stop and a tasty meal. We would return!

Great spot for a casual breakfast with friends. Had to wait about 10-15 mins for our party of 4 but that is to be expected with such a small place. The staff were polite and even genuinely funny when interacting with us. Definitely had some great laughs. Food was pretty standard though we didnt get anything game breaking (simple eggs and toast). The cinnamon roll French toast was tasty though!!
Service 5/5

Loved this tiny, cozy restaurant when we were exploring the South Shore. Sandwiches were enormous, grilled and tasty but for $9-10 I wish they came with a side. Luckily we ordered a pastry to go and made for a delicious meal.
The Moroccan chickpea soup is amazing! And the pesto chicken wrap is sooo fresh and delicious.
Best place around, a favorite of the band Take It To The Bridge! 🕺
The food here is consistently great! It's a place I would recommend warmly to anyone who wants a study breakfast or lunch. My personal favorite item on their menu is the French toast with peaches and pecans, so tasty I almost forgot to take a photo before it was all gone again..
It is a lovely restaurant for a perfect breakfast. The food was very delicious and the service was very friendly.
From a road warriors perspective when searching for a quick sit down or take out lunch in Cohasset this is the spot. Small restaurant with ample seating inside and out. No worries about checking the sandwich or bag for ordered items. The order is completed correctly the first time and always with a smile. Unlike many deli's that forget the condiments that you request. 5 South Main is on my short list for low key, delicious creative sandwiches and soups from the menu or interesting specials from the blackboard. Great desserts as well. Dinners with a beer and wine license. Sunday brunch too. Tables outside for warm weather dining. Highly recommended.
