Simple CAN be better!. I HAVE to add my 2-cents because all you ever see for reviews are the BAD ones (and that's not fair.) Zachary's Pizza House in Colchester has good quality food at reasonable prices. the atmosphere is pleasant and kid-friendly, yet, there is a bar for those who enjoy some laid-back "adult time."
Tony may not frequently update his menu, but he offers a great selection at affordable prices. He's not trying to run a ritzy-rip-off restaurant. he is simply running a relaxed, Vermont family-oriented establishment that can be enjoyed year-round by all walks of life.
I have visited this location many times and look forward to many more visits. For a quick bite, romantic dinner or easy take out I have never had a problem at this location. The staff is very friendly and the food, oh my gosh, is so good. The bathrooms were spotless and well kept. I haven’t frequented the bar/lounge but it looks very welcoming. I would and do recommend this to all my friends. Thanks for all you do.
Very nice service. I have done take-out, delivery and dine in. We landed after long flight and they had our order ready for us to take. After a late night of packing we had a larger order they had it ready in 30 minutes. Great service. Sadly like many restaurants they didnt have enough servers one night but she held her own. The owner came out and said hi to everyone. Very impressed.
When we've been in it's been quiet, lighting and decor in the bar twinkly and relaxing, we love it. Service, food and drinks all great !

We eat there at least once a week and have never ever had a problem, they really go out of their way to serve us. When we order the Joanne salad, it’s a special with extra green peppers, onions, black olives, and they nail it every time! Kim does a great job in the bar, never got a under pour on my Pinot Grigio! Great place and Tony is a great guy! Stop by and have a meal, I bet it won’t be your last!
Mallets Bay Zachary's is amazing...staffing issues but the staff that is there hustles and is smiling and courteous through it all. Great food, amazing value...family friendly yet good date night pizza spot too (with a bar attached)
Ive been ordering a lot from here, their spinach and artichoke dip is good (I prefer it with chips instead of the bread) and they're the only pizza place in the area with REAL sausage on their sausage subs, not the shredded pizza topping sausage some other places use. Taco pizza was good, but their apps and subs are remarkable so I still have a lotof menu to cover. These guys are great for picky eaters too, I was ordering salads for a friend and they loved them. Staff is always extremely friendly. I worked in restaurants for years and you can tell, by some small details like the spinach dip being homemade (takes labor) and other things I noticed that are indicative of someone taking their time making things. I would give 11 stars if I could. For what it is, a community owned pizza place, they really knock it out of the park. Prices are very reasonable .. I got a specialty pizza, large sub and spinach dip for about 30$. Please keep it up guys! Thanks!
