Good margarita and excellent service. The salsa actually has a bit to it! We really liked the Queso Flameado, but note it's not your average queso dip if that's what you're looking for. My wife got the chimichangas, and though they were made with ground beef and not crispy (they ended up more like enchiladas), they were good and filling. I liked the Dorado Plate, but putting some of the Queso Flameado on the pork really punched it up.

I've been going to Ramon's since I was a kid, and it's still a treat. I love how they haven't really changed anything in all that time, including the terminology used for their food. For example, they call their house salsa "hot sauce", which unlike most restaurants, their house salsa really is on the spicier side. Their combination plates also have cute names like the Speedy Gonzales. Our waitress was extremely helpful and attentive. The music sets a nice atmosphere in the place. We loved everything about our meal. But the Margaritas are the real star of the show. Made with real lime juice and fair amount of tequila, they're both delicious and uplifting!

Major snow storm hit but my friend and I still wanted to eat. Only a couple of other people showed up to eat because they roads were icing. The environment was interesting with warm Latino decor and plenty of space to choose a table. The patrons were keenly interested in our table placement.

Had an amazing sister day! My sister & I went to Ramon's El Dorado for lunch. I forgot to take photos of the food but it was delicious. We had a nice chat with Ashley our beautiful & amazing waitress and we were able to chat with the owner who is a 4th generation owner. I hope i got the details correct, but he told us how his father was able to start the restaurant. His dad had a traditional job & had an accident & ended up paralyzed. His mom dedicated her time to help him heal but they needed money to live, so he took $5 and made tamales to sell from the trunk of his car. He made $25 that first day and reinvested that and kept doing that and the rest is a 61 year family owned business. On Cinco de Mayo he was the only cook and also the dishwasher but he had a packed house and all day he cooked 3 meals at a time to get them out fast Ashley said. I asked how his business did during Covid shut downs & he said he did his best business during Covid but the shortage of waitstaff to help was hard to keep up with the demand, just like in Cinco de Mayo! What a lovely chat and bit of history. I will definitely go back because the food, atmosphere, & waitstaff were all amazing.
