I’ve enjoyed every dish, dessert and cocktail I’ve had here and I’ve been here 3x. The wait staff is excellent. I dined outside this last time which went well. The menu is unlike anything I’ve had around town. Healthy, super flavorful dishes and the bread tastes like they used a special recipe, process or ingredients. The key lime pie is big enough to share but I recommend enjoying it by yourself!
Shuga's is a special place for my husband and me. We like to go there and dine on the outdoor patio. We always bring our dog with us, where the wait staff bring water for her as they greet us. The food is wonderful. We like to get the bruschetta, and ramen bowls. They have super-fancy specialty adult beverages, we like the Spanish Coffee. It's great time when we go, always a nice relaxing atmosphere.
We stopped in today for some takeout Cuban sandwiches. (We are from Florida so we know good Cuban sandwiches) We love the whole vibe of the place, staff was super nice and the sandwiches were excellent! Might I suggest offering an option of mayonnaise mustard mixed to on the sandwiches (that's how we eat them in Tampa and it's delicious.) :)
Great food, a good list of cocktails, and a great staff, can be a bit noisy (because it's a popular place!)
What a delightful surprise. A small neighborhood restaurant with healthy, and yummy food. We had a greek salad and the Cuban sandwich, I would recommend both!
A great friend took us to Shuga’s! Great atmosphere. Food was even better and the service was great even when the place was packed! We were visiting from Las Vegas and I am going to tell anyone who is coming to Colorado Springs.
Great place. Low key, no presumptive expectations, family, friends, etc. cool little cafe with decent food and a nice atmosphere.
We are in town for 3 days. We’ve already eaten at Shuga’s twice. It’s perfect. The service was awesome. I got Shuga’s tray one day with a little of everything and a coconut ginger fizz. The 2nd day I got ANOTHER coconut ginger fizz, the quiche, and any atwater salad. I honestly could go again today. And our new server friend, Kaylyn (?), gave us excellent advice on other places to try. Thank you so much!
The cafe tray, cocktails, and lavender lemonade !! The food is so good here, the environment is super cool, and their drinks are all excellent. Not to mention the excellent service.
I came here by myself on a Sunday, and was pleasantly surprised!! The staff were very kind, and the building itself was so cute chic. I ordered the Mediterranean spread and I’m so glad I did!! It was so yummy!! The pita bread was warm, fresh, and perfectly seasoned- some of the best I’ve ever had! The hummus, goat cheese, and olive mixture complimented each other perfectly! The staff were so kind, and I hope I can come again soon!!
fresh & different 😋
our experience started with a friendly greeting. as we were seated on the patio on a beautiful Colorado day we noticed lovely flowers & a relaxed atmosphere. the food was fresh & different in the best possible way. the shrimp soup was recommended by a friend & is delish! 😋 as the weather cools we're looking fwd to dining in the yert. casual dining at it's finest. we'll be back
Everything was really good but the bean + beet board was INCREDIBLE. The garlic and white bean was my favorite but they were all so yummy. Cocktails were nice and unique (we got the Moxie and Kiss Me In The Rose Garden) and the wine list looked really good, though I didn't partake. Also recommend the Le Central sandwich. Got the famous almond cake to go since we were so full—I expect it's excellent as well. we'll definitely eat here again if we're ever in Colorado Springs. My favorite dinner in quite a while.
My new favorite lunch spot in the Springs. The Cubano sandwich with a side of jalapeño macaroni and cheese was amazing. The wait at noon on a Thursday was less than 5 minutes. Loved the creative interior design. Be sure to check out the outdoor seating and the yurt. Cool place!!!
Really enjoyed our meal there. Drinks were delish as well. If we’re ever on this side of town we would definitely make a stop here for their spicy shrimp soup 🍜
We made reservations and dined at Shuga’s on the last night of our stay in Colorado Springs, and we were glad that we saved one of the best dinners for last!
We were seated in the yurt, which had a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. We started our meal with the a mojito carafe (delicious) for my wife and I, and the kids ordered one of the fizzes, which they enjoyed. We also got on of the cafe trays that included delicious samplings of ham, cheeses, pita, shrimp soup, almond cake, and more!
I had the Cuban sandwich with the spicy shrimp soup, both of which were delicious. My wife had one of the salads, and the kids each had one of the kids trays. We shared a larger piece of the almond cake for dessert. It was warm and topped with fresh whipped cream and a caramel drizzle.
Overall, everyone enjoyed the meal that they ordered. We plan to go back the next time we are in Colorado Springs.
Brunch was delicious. Our family shared a nice Sunday brunch with many yummy options for us to choose from. My Mom chose the French toast with thick cut bacon. The toast was crusted with cinnamon sugar cereal. She said it was awesome. My brother got the sampler tray which was filled with all their best dishes to munch on. Soup, bruschetta, hummus, and so much more. There was plenty of food to share - which he did. Dad got the Mojo sandwich and soup. The sandwich has steak and chimichurri then pressed. The soup was fantastic!!! It is a slightly spicy coconut shrimp soup. Wow was that good. I got it too with the quiche of the day. I could have just had a large bowl of the soup. Try it out for a brunch day out.

Food is delicious although I have feedback. Ramen and Shrimp bisque were delicious. Chicken sandwich was good but dry- more sauce baby! The first time we tried Shugas we placed an order for to go. The only kid option is lame and for the price- a terrible deal. $11 for some deli ham and fresh mozz. I had ordered a large size of the Jalapeno Mac to share and it was a tiny portion. When we dined in, I ordered a side of jalepeno Mac with my sandwhich and I realize they made a mistake with my to go size. So…watch those tickets folks. Idea for kids menu addition: ramen! We ordered one for the two to share and it was perfect. Overall, delicious and good value for price.
GREAT EXPERIENCE - Don't Miss. We have eaten here several times while visiting our daughter who lives in the Springs! From the moment you walk in you feel a tremendous sense of hospitality almost like you are in your own home. The staff has always been kind and knowledgable, the food is wonderful and a great value and the cocktails are fantastic. All the food is excellent and hard to make a decision on what to order and we love the Shuga's "Favorite Cafe Tray" with a sampling of items across the menu.
Enjoyed a delicious brunch in the yurt! The drinks here are absolutely delicious, I started with the mojito and truly enjoyed the freshed mulled mint! Had the picnic board and my stand out favorite on this board was definitely the mint cucumber! I loved the varying flavors in this one element. I also really enjoyed the bruschetta spread. The salmon and caper bruschetta is always my favorite. Followed closely by the brie and apple. The spicy shrimp soup is a great fit for summer time and I really enjoyed the black sesame seed and cilantro that adds a lot of body to this cup of soup. I almost alway have the salad nicoise when im here for lunch and it's just because it's the most well built salad I've found in the springs. I love the complexity of the dressing and the house smoked salmon is so good!
I love that there are so many differing spaces to be seated and enjoy this place! The patio is a fantastic experience and so is the yurt, especially for summer!
The selections on this menu never disappoint and the service is always attentive. We had a really great time here!
One of the best meals we have had in a while, start to finish. Great service, fun atmosphere, seriously delicious food. Try it!!
Great place. I was a little skeptical driving up, but the service was excellent, the food was great, and the patio out back was very pleasant.
Wife had the cuban sandwich and I had ramen. Both were tasty. She also had a lavender lemonade and I had a cold brew, again both excellent.
No complaints. Go see them. They were also very kind to our pooch, so pretty dog friendly if you can wait for the patio.
Delicious. We came for lunch during the week. The beet and bean board was delicious and the stand out fave. The Rufus and Cubano sandwiches were great, too!

This is our home away from home. We always feel welcomed, cared for and well fed at Shugas. The cocktails are some of the best anywhere and we can always find a spot to tuck in with friends or a seat at the bar to enjoy soup with a book. Simply put - the best people with the best place around.
Why are there not more people on here talking about the mac and cheese!? Wow. We almost went somewhere else to eat and I’m so glad we didn’t. Chelle was our server and she has a true gift for customer service and hospitality. She made great recommendations. We live in North Carolina and I would drive all the way here to eat that mac and cheese again. The Cuban sandwich was also delicious and so were the cocktails. Yum yum yum. Loved it.
shuga’s is a staple in the springs. great drinks and environment south of downtown. The food is unique, light options. I always say don’t go if you’re in a hurry! cool spot bc its open til midnight. try the almond cake omg so good!!!!
Shugas is Surprisingly Good, better than expected. Atmosphere was Great, the Staff was Friendly & Very Helpful. Menu Selection is Good Sized and The Food is Excellent with Perfect Portion Sizes. They do Serve Alcohol both Wine and Beer 🍺 along with Coke Products and Water. The Menu changes between Lunch & Dinner, and Depending on Supplies. Even other Patrons are Very Nice. You can Eat Inside or Outside.
Great Place for Family and Friends.
Or to go on A Date. First Date or 25th Date.🌹
I do Recommend Making a Reservation. This place is Always Busy, without a Reservation, your looking at a Possible 1-4 Hour Wait.... SHUGAS is Very Popular!!
A locally-owned, locally-sourced neighborhood restaurant, currently an unknown treasure to the tourists. Using the freshest ingredients for both food and beverages. Impressive mixed drink list. Of all things, make reservations, otherwise sit at the bar.
