A great place for BBQ! I personally enjoy the porkhouse sandwich but everything I have tried has been delicious. The BBQ sauce has a mix of sweet and smoky flavors and the meat is tender and juicy. Definitely a place to visit again!
BBQ is one of my favorites. It was a toss up between Rudy's and Bird Dog. We went with the Bird Dog and I'm glad we did. The food was AWESOME!! It was a little warm in the restaurant but the quality of the food made it worth it. Got a feeling we will visit again when we are in Colorado Springs.

The barbecue is delicious and the spicy sauce is perfect. Just the right amount of heat and sweet. Also some of the best baked beans and Mac and cheese I've ever had in a restaurant. To top it off, the staff always also amazing and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone that
The only reason I am not giving Bird Dogs 5 starts is due to the lack of air conditioning, otherwise I would have given them 5 stars. I definitely recommend! The meats are nicely smoked and I really liked their sauce as well. This place has set the bar for BBQ, so far in Colorado Springs (recently moved here). This place does BBQ right! Everything here is great, brisket, pulled pork, turkey, ribs, sausage, spicy sausage….it’s all great! My favorite is the dog house open face sandwich with two meats then covered with baked bans. You gotta try it!
Best bbq Restaurant I have ever been to. There ribs are just amazing, really juice and tender chicken. I would recommend the fried okra on a side and also the peach cobbler with ice cream as a dessert.
And the service persons a extremely nice, they were very accommodating.

This place is jumpin' busy! The staff are friendly, helpful, and getting what you want...is FAST! Eat in OR take out! The food--oh my!--DELICIOUS! I eat simple...so the brisket--very lean--which I prefer--no sauce on it, just plain, and still delicious! ---My mouth is watering right now just typing
I could not believe how professional and friendly the staff was here. I had to pinch myself to make sure it was real. The food was amazing! Staff was absolutely amazing, professional and patient. Thank you for making our night out, one to remember
They may not be a “mom and pop” shop, but they’ve totally captured that feel.
Food is outstanding and the staff is very courteous and friendly. Although I’d really like it if they had more decals to give out. I’d love to advertise for them on my water bottle at work. 👍

My husband and I are BBQ connoisseurs and have lived in Oklahoma for quite some time. This is the best BBQ we’ve come across since we moved to the Springs. The brisket is really flavorful and tender!
My husband is staying at the hotel across the street and ordered from here yesterday. The food was delicious, and a huge shout out to the employees for being so kind and amazing! Thank you.
Staff are always so lovely. I’m celiac and I don’t even need to ask them to change gloves or anything, they do it automatically and they are very knowledgeable on what’s safe for me to eat. It’s our go to bbq place :)
A whole lotta flavor! Type of “hole in the wall” you wanna find. Meats by weight. Brisket was tender and melted apart perfectly. House bbq sauce was classic Memphis style. Plenty of side choices… Mac and cheese, fried okra, etc. Place smelles amazing the minute you enter. Great local spot.
