Our server Bryan was awesome, super cool guy. We came in about the last hour, which we hate doing that, but the service was still great, and the food was delicious. We love the oil and herb dipping sauce for the bread. The calamari was fantastic, and the sauces were great too. I got the meatball appetizer, the meat was tender and juicy and had a great balance with the ricotta cheese. We also got the Alfredo weesie, with shrimp and mushrooms. Also very good!
Life hack, ask for extra herbs for the bread and then sprinkle that on the red sauce or Alfredo sauce. That extra seasoning is what sent the meal over the top.
We did ask for cannoli's without chocolate, but they had chocolate in them, not too disappointed though.
Waiter continued to check in on us. Food was delicous. I had shrimp pasta! It was so good. I also had mamá mandola's sicilian chicken soup. Loved that it had a Spice kick to it!
We visited this location kind of late, with FOUR kids under 7.. our server, James, was absolutely amazing. From our greeting to check, he was on point, took our orders promptly, we never had an empty glass, great menu knowledge and compliments to the cooks also. Food was great. Everything came out right and fast. I couldn’t ask for more with 4 tired, hungry, kids. Perfection.
The zucchini fry appetizer was absolutely amazing! When we ordered them, our waiter mentioned they were his favorite so we had high hopes for them. I was not disappointed in any of the food. Absolutely amazing
It was in walking distance to hotel, it was under remodeling. We had to wait 10-15 min, not because it was busy but because they couldn’t keep up with busing tables. Food was average for here. Service was nice and attentive. Bathrooms could have been cleaned better. Over all I do recommend this location. Specially if you are in a close hotel and do not feel like driving.
Terrific food, wonderful wait staff, nice little wine list & cocktail service. Took our family of 5 and a 2 yr old terrorist and treated us royally. Seafood pastas and the steak combos are killer -- I watched the grill chef cook the sirloin perfectly. Impressive. RECOMMENDED
Back for a second time, family expanded by one (1 week old Grand), came in closer to shutdown time, but no problem at all for the staff. Chef didn't miss a beat, and my wood-grilled Mahi killed! We are staunch regulars now whenever we're in town. Thanks guys!
I ordered the shrimp scampi and the fettuccine weezy and they were both okay. I would have loved to have my shrimp cooked a little bit more, and they put an excessive amount of garlic on the shrimp scampi. However the star of the show was the young man who took my order. He had excellent customer service skills, and when he took my order he was so polite. he even provided me with a refreshment while I waited. I cannot remember his name but he is a wonderful addition to the Carrabba's staff.
We had the meatball and ricotta appetizer. It only took them 7 minutes to bring it to my table. So its likely that it was staged(prepped) beforehand. Still tasted good. The tomato sauce marinate was delicious and had no chunks of tomatoes (which I hate) and went down quickly.
The reason its not a 5 star is because the bread edge while normally is crispy cooked was oddly crispy but stale. A good 1 centimeter from the outside crust to the inside was stale(not freshly made).
If I come back, I would have checked the bread first and if it still was stale or hardened along the edges go ahead and ask for a different one. (This was a serving of two loaves, not just one. Both were in the same shape) I am not sure if it was from sitting too long or prepped incorrectly. A bit downer since I'm a bread lover.
I first went to Carrabba's Italian Grill in 1997, and truthfully the food is just as good now as it was then. The prices have definitely went up, but the quality is still there. Our waitress Regina was amazing and knowledgeable! We chose a tapas style for our dining experience with several things to eat rather than a full course. And Regina was fully capable to indulge us in what to order. Everything was prepared perfectly and we left happy. Will definitely continue eating here.
My wife and I are regulars and are continually impressed with the quality of food and service. Our last meal had a couple of issues (nothing major) and the way the Manager (Herman) handled the situation was exemplary. Herman replaced our meal and comped it too. A real master's class on how food issues should be handled. In this post-covid world, most service providers have reduced the level / quality of service. This restaurant has not.
They clearly understand what it takes to stay not only relevant but also on top of it's competition. I cannot say enough about Herman Buie's management skills. We will continue to eat here on a regular basis.
I enjoyed Carrabba's. I would rate it a little classier than Olive Garden. I ate there before the dinner rush, but it got very busy, fast.
I ordered the Parmesan-crusted Chicken Arugula (pictured). It was delicious and comes with a side salad and choice of pasta.
Also pictured are the Lobster Ravioli (delicious) and the Chicken Marsala.
I would recommend Carrabba's for someone looking for a relatively fast dinner at an affordable price!
The food is good, has decent wine, and has a full bar. The atmosphere is nice but it can get noisy. I visited 2 times, so I obviously liked it.
We decided to celebrate my wife’s professional accomplishments by having her pick a restaurant to go to. She decided to go to Carrabba’s and after being to this location numerous times, I thought that it was a great selection. I did call ahead and we showed up a little later than our call ahead (5 minutes). When we arrived, the front desk host couldn’t find our call ahead and we had to wait about 10 minutes. We decided to look past it as we were a little late anyways and we’re seated pretty promptly.
We ordered the mozzarella marinara as an appetizer which is always on point. To my surprise they didn’t have their minestrone soup as their staple soup anymore. Instead it was Mama Mandala’s Sicilian Chicken Soup which prompted a spicy chicken soup with some pasta and veggies as the base with a hearty broth. I decided to have it with my order of Tuscan Steak and even though it was pretty good - I would say their minestrone was better. Also this is not very spicy - that could be off putting from some.
My wife ordered the Carrabba’s Italian Classics and she loved her lasagna and chicken parmesan. I always steal her mashed potatoes which are incredible and she enjoyed the side of fettuccine alfredo.
I ordered the Tuscan Grilled Sirloin with a side of their grilled broccoli. It was fantastic and is always underrated. No one posts or talks about this item, but seriously it’s incredible. Please try the steak and you won’t be disappointed.
We did ask for another loaf of bread that never came, but that’s to be expected after having a pretty crowded night.
Overall a solid 4 stars on the experience! I would still recommend Carrabba’s as a popular Italian chain restaurant, but I do believe the North Colorado Springs restaurant executed just a little bit better on the experience.
Food was good, and the service was slow. Not entirely there fault. Feels like they are short handed. Portions are large but that goes with the sticker price. Expect to pay close to $20 a plate.
The food was very delicious and the wait time is very fast! The pasta is very filling as well as the salad that was tasty. The waiter was very courteous and attentive. The prices were fair considering all what you got. I love the atmosphere, definitely plan to visit again.
The salad was good but pricey at $18.99. It's really the only thing on the menu I like. I prefer more simple food. I do not like their pasta red sauce.
