By far the best breakfast spot in town....especially if Lauren is your waitress!!! I may be partial as Lauren works for me at my boutique in Old Colorado City from time to time, so I was excited for her to be our waitress!!! Lauren is the best waitress ever and the Western Omelet has the best breakfast ever!! PS- the green chili.....AMAZING!!!
If you are just visiting Colorado Springs, be sure to drop into this one of a kind breakfast spot! Even on a busy day like Mother's Day, our food was as good as always, although the hash browns were even better than usual 😇 I live for their red chili, and smother it all over either the chili rellenos (hell yeah FOR BREAKFAST!!) or the super delicious breakfast quesadilla. My daughter ordered the foot wide monster pancake and we were all impressed that it was done perfectly, inside and out. They can be busy, but the food is well worth the wait.
Always great breakfast. Amazing chile and the best bacon in town. A little prIcey, buts it's worth it. Down to earth people and relaxed environment.
Huevos Rancheros! I drive down from Denver to eat this! The habanero chili is fire! I get it half and half tho because it is hot but delicious. When I bring my friends or family along they always enjoy the food as well. Get there early tho because they close early. I think I tried to go at 2:30 and they stoped serving.
Visiting from Tennessee, We came upon this place and decided to try breakfast. It is seat yourself where you're comfortable. The service was the best; very prompt, very friendly, and the food was delicious! The staff were even dressed festive for Halloween. The ladies were SUPER busy but allowed a quick moment for me to snap a pic. THANK YOU LADIES!!

One of the best breakfast restaurants in Colorado Springs! It was super delicious! Staff is very friendly and in a good mood. Prices are good. Please go eat there, you won't regret it!

The food and service is beyond awesome! I love this place.
The food was absolutely delicious! The hot green chile was spicy but so savory that I had to take it with me. I got the breakfast chimichanga and I enjoyed it very much so.
Service was friendly And quick. Food was good. I had the best time laughing at my boyfriend eating the breakfast burrito with hot sauce. As he sniffled, sweated, and almost cried..... I found it hilarious. The nice waitress kept his water filled and brought him milk. Beware..... HOT means Hot here. Will definitely go back.
I absolutely love this place. The food and service are excellent, and the owners and staff obviously take great pride in their establishment. I really appreciate it when a business takes the time to wipe down their menus and ketchup bottles so I don't get sticky fingers when I grab them. It's all about the details!
Their chile rellenos are fantastic , the slopper is outrageously good, but breakfast chimichanga is where its at. Why isn't a "breakfast chimicahnga" a thing everywhere? Pure genius, and pure deliciousness.
They will usually warn you if you order the hot green chile - it is VERY hot. You can get half and half if you want to cool it off a bit.
Tons of local personality... and locals! We were there at the same time as a big regular Thursday morning group. Still got service with a smile. 50s diner with 80s colors meets southwestern biker joint. Down home feel and good food. Omelette and pancakes were great, hash browns were good, philly cheese steak was ok.
So Delicious!!!. My husband and I eat there all the time. We order something different every time and are never disapointed.
OH YA. I'v been coming here since i was little and have always loved it. The food is always good and the staff is always friendly, but it does get a little crowded though that has never stopped my friends, family, or myself from enjoying out food.
Best Bacon in Town. Thick for real no joke bacon like you can't get anywhere else. Always get the Huevos with green chili. Mild. Their hot will take your head off. No kidding. I assume some people like that...but don't joke about it. They'll do it.
Military friendly. One of the best breakfast portions for the money in all of Colorado Springs!
2 Eggs over easy, mug of hot coffee, slice of ham almost the size of the plate holding the eggs--as the eggs covered up a large pieceof the ham. A single pancake perfectly cooked to a golden brown, and very fluffy --s big I had to get a "to go" box and take half home. Good service, but very slow kitchen--probably one cook for about ten people all ordering about the same time. Opens at 6 A.M. I got there about 6:30, and there was already several people eating. Highly recommend this restaurant. Lots of pictures of Indians (American Indians).

It's not good unless you're sweatin'! Delicious breakfast chimichanga; I love super spicy food, but I'm glad I listened to my mother about the green chili! Smother your food in mild, get the hot on the side. You can see the habanero peppers in it. Danger!! I can't tell if I'm full or dying from fire belly, but it's the best feeling ever! The service was excellent and they are very military friendly! Can't wait to go back!

Right amount of food, super busy to get in. An out of town guest and I went to go catch up this morning over breakfast and I picked the Western Omelette Restaurant for us to do our reunion. He also brought along another friend of his as well. When we arrived around 9:00 (on a Sunday), the place was about 3/4 full. When we left, there were several parties waiting to be seated. This just goes to show how packed this place can get.
The dining room area is super crowded, but service never lacks. I believe this is because the servers aren't individually responsible for a table, except to take orders. Regardless, our food still came out very quickly. We ordered the Corned Beef Hash breakfast, a "choose your filling" omelette and the breakfast burrito with green chili between us. All of our food came out in exactly the right quantity, which was nice since it avoided the overly full feeling that might mess up the rest of your day's meals.
My breakfast burrito was just the right amount of spicy, enough to make me blow my nose a few times. The hashbrowns were also complimented by me and our friend as being perfectly done.
My coffee cup never went dry and the atmosphere of the place was generally upbeat with not a frown in the whole restaraunt. Good job Western Omelette! I will probably be back to try your lunch items.
A Whole Lotta Food. I went to the Western Omelette Restaurant with my husband for the first time last weekend. We are still fairly new to the Springs from Albuquerque and our green chile cravings finally got the best of us. The green chile here (and in Colorado in general) is different from NM chile -- seems to be more of a sauce here, whereas in NM it's mainly just the actual veggie. I digress... the chile at WOR was spicy and yummy but didn't overpower the other flavors. I got the breakfast enchiladas and wasn't disappointed. Big chunks of non-greasy chorizo and a hearty dose of cheddar cheese in every bite. The hash browns were perfect and not too salty. We all know it's easy to find diner-style overseasoned or oily breakfast foods. This place got it right. Also, the portions were huge! Big enough to share, or if you've got a big appetite (or hangover), just man up and power through it. We'll be back.
Keep up the great work! And make sure the white gravy is always hot
My wife and I ate there this weekend. Excellent service, excellent menu, & excellent food. About $10 more expensive per / couple than Ihop, Dennys or Wafflw House. But this was a nice change from the bigger chains. We were very pleased with portion sizes and the quality of the preparation. We'll be back!

We'll Be Back. We decided to try Western Omelette because it had some decent popularity numbers here on Urbanspoon, and I am glad we did. We visited about midmorning on a Sunday and the place was pretty full, but we 4 were seated immediately, and our orders taken pretty quick. It took a little while to receive our breakfast due to the place being busy, but we were definitely glad we tried this place. I had the huevos rancheros and theyw ere excellent! I have to say I was a little worried because you are advised to get the green chile on the side (which I didn't) because They "don't like to see grown men cry", but trust me, I've had WAY hotter. It was just hot enough to show some authority without me being injured in the process, but mainly it was delicious! The huevos rancheros were great. Even my wife (who does NOT like to try new things) pronounced her eggs, bacon, and pancake breakfast well worth the short wait, and said she wanted to come again the next time we are in town. And so we shall.
This place is awsome. A must try. Green chili is some of the best I have ever had.
Good food but very busy on the weekends.. The Western Omelet is a restaurant that has some of the best green chili that Colorado Springs has to offer (if you love hot green chili)! I did learn at a very early age that the best time to eat there is on a weekday, the breakfast crowd is insane on the weekends. Over all the food is good and my entire family loves eating at this restaurant!
Good burgers, breakfast. The mexican breakfasts are the best. Breakfast enchiladas are to die for. BF burrito is excellent. The hot green chile is the hottest I've ever eaten. Wow.

This place is great! We don't live in Colorado, but my family and I stopped here for breakfast, and we were impressed. The service is amazing, the place is impecably clean, and their food and chili is delicious. Definitely recommend this place.
Great Hot Green Chili!. One of my favorite breakfast hang-outs! They have really, really good breakfasts. You can order the "standard" breakfast items as well as mexican and southwestern favorites. Their green chili is definitely the hotest I've found in the area--they do have a milder version that's equally tasty. You may want to get it on the side before smothering your food--be forwarned! They're only open for breakfast and lunch. Their hours are listed on the website. They have ample seating and parking, but this is a local favorite, so don't be surprised how busy they get. The service is top-notch. This restaurant is also "motorcycle friendly". If you want to ride to breakfast, they have a separate parking area for you right out front. This restaurant always seems to get rave reviews year to year--definitely worth any wait time.
The service was good. There were only two girls working with a reasonable amount of tables. Could have been a little better, but that won't prevent me from going back.
The egg and ham tacos were pretty good... nothing exceptional. I asked for hot sauce, and they provided a little sauce cup of it, but it cost me $3.50... not impressed.
My friends ordered different items, like pancakes, bacon, burger, and ham. They all looked a lot better than my tacos, so I'm excited to try something else next time. The pancakes are huge along with the slice of ham! The bacon looked like nice thick and crispy bacon. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the bacon.
The atmosphere was ok. There is a lot of nice artwork all over the walls. There is plenty of flat parking.
1st time here and I see why it's always busy. It's definitely worth the wait. The service is good, the food was AMAZING and the mixed drinks I seen coming to the tables looked Soooo good. Prices were reasonable since the portions were pretty big. I had the breakfast chimichanga, and it was yummy. Next time I wanna try the biscuit bowl....those are huge even the mini! Also the staff are friendly, helpful and the coffee was always a full cup! I really liked this place!
Huge breakfast anyone? I only barely didn't finish because it was so amazing. Soft biscuit and great fillings. The gravy was great enough to eat off a shoe. Mmmm. 10 of 10! Go eat y'all!
The food here is very good! You can ask to sample the chili, and I highly recommend doing so! They don't joke when they say their chili is spicy!!! And they have so many options, so if you sample you are sure to choose the one you like the most!
Every time I visit, I always have the pony. It makes for a filing breakfast. Add a side of the really hot and mild green chili, then mix for a great addition to your eggs and hash browns. The service, regardless of how busy they are, is super. In the past, it appeared on triple DDD. I can understand why. It is truly a place you must visit.
This was a cute little family run establishment. The food was good. They give large portions. However, the service could have been better. At least 3 tables got up and left due to not being helped. If they had designated sections for each server, I think that would eliminate some of the problem. The servers were everywhere.

Came in for an amazing breakfast. This spot is great. Walking in there is so much history all over the walls. The place is always busy meaning the food here is of course great. The staff are all very welcoming. The morning we had breakfast, the servers were dressed in 1920s style clothing. Ordered the pineapple mimosas and bloody mary. Perfect! I ordered the breakfast chimichanga with both red and green sauce. It's huge. Another thing I would recommend if you enjoy spicy foods is a bowl of the green Chilli, ask for a sample 1st. It's 👍
Chicken fried steak and eggs on a plate the size of your arms when you give a hug! Plus pancakes and hashbrowns! My meal covered half the table!
All time local favorite for breakfast/brunch! Been coming here for many years. Service and food is always on point. Ingredients are prepped fresh in house, such as chopped veggies and potatoes. We love Bill and all of his staff are super friendly. Family feel is evident.
Be aware the spicy green chili is extreme!!!! If there’s a wait, it’s totally worth it!

The mini order of biscuit bowl (sausage and bacon with egg) I received was delicious and worth the $$. As it was definitely enough for 2. Looking forward to trying other dishes as well. Appreciate the staff with the positive atmosphere. Stop by for some grub!!
My Uncle has raved about this place for years everytime he drives through the springs he stops here. We finally met up with him for breakfast. It was very busy but the service was outstanding! I was so excited we were able to order a bottle of champagne 🍾 to make mimosas as strong as we wanted. The food was very homestyle and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The atmosphere is diner like not the fanciest or most aesthetic place but definitely a great breakfast and place we would love to visit again.
Absolutely Love this place! The food is off the charts with flavor especially if you love it HOT! The staff is exceptional and extremely friendly and did I mention that the cooks are PHENOMENAL?! Definitely one of Colorado Springs hidden gems if you haven't been there. Here are just a few of the family favorites and the servings are huge! Excellent breakfast for 10 people in the party. Food was plentiful and all at the correct temperatures. The group was large but the food arrived in a timely fashion and everyone was pleased. Would recommend for anyone. Great place to hang out for breakfast.
