The lack of fresh bread in this country is a blight on our food culture. Modern bread is loaded with chemicals to keep it “fresh” for long periods to boost sales of a baker located outside of state lines. Places like this need a resurgence because fresh bread is incomparable to the chemical ridden stuff they sell in the market. I only had the breakfast sandwich but I will be back to buy lunch and a few dozen loafs. Keep it up!

Great Harvest Company is one of the very few places left in Colorado Springs that makes their bread fresh everyday. They grind whole grains and oats every morning and only use the highest quality incrediants and boy is it easy to tell. I have not been here many times but that will change. Today I had the coffee of the day which was a blended or get creme avalanche featuring there mocha Java medium roast. It may have been the best blended coffee drink I've gotten in the springs. I also had the sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwhich which was also delecious. They use old work style jalepeno cheddar sausage links cut in half. Some may not like the texture of the links but I found it to be much more enjoyable then the Patty style sausage the amount of spice was also exactly where it needed to be. It allowed the pressence of the jalepenos but not the unenjoyable heat so all flavors were enjoyable and blended well. And of course the bread. The flavor on the honey whole wheat was perfect. The slice width also allowed for a nice crispy crunch outter layer while still having just the perfect amount of warm soft center. Also it seemed like it came out of the oven directly to the table. The cheese was still melting when I pulled the sandwhich apart! Great Harvest deserves 7 stars.
First time in and I was overwhelmed by the glorious smell of cinnamon bread! They offered me a slice while mulling over my options while just deciding to get one of their cookies. Their display looked fantastic and it was a cozy atmosphere. Fantastic service and had great knowledge of the different breads they had to offer. Overall very impressed and will go back!
I had the apple bacon grilled cheese and it was to die for. Brads are sold by the slice or by the loaf, as well as salads, soups, hot and cold sandwiches. Locally owned place with locally roasted coffee. They also sell jams and honey!
I had a very delicious visit at this bakery!

First time there and found the staff to be friendly, professional and welcoming. The bread is awesome. Great flavor. This from a guy who once managed one of the best known sour dough bread bakeries in SF. Will be back for more as now reside in Springs.

Best rye bread ever
I had to get a frozen loaf since there was none fresh and it was also pre-sliced. This was a concern since it was for Patty melts and I like to slice it thicker. I should not have worried. It was substantial and held up perfectly, not to mention tasting fantastic.
It was well worth the additional cost and I will be back often.
LOVE Great Harvest and have been getting their bread and goodies for years. Super sad when their North Voyager store closed up, but still manage to make it over to their Union store occasionally for coffee and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread (so good we buy extra and freeze it). They have awesome samples as well while you are waiting!
Today, I decided to call after Till Kitchen backed out on a donation for a local public elementary school. Mark (the owner who we used to see all the time) answered the phone and GLADLY donated a few loaves of bread for our event. I'm sure folks will be there and will try the bread for the first time and love it! Thank you for supporting our community and being so generous. It speaks volumes about what sort of company you are. You guys rock!

This is a long drive for us, but we want to taste their Rye with our home smoked Pastrami. Hope they open a new South location too!
They had a little for everyone. They sell lattes, and have a varied fresh lunch menu (very good paninis) too. My daughter got to decorate her own cookie for free (it was probably only for Halloween). I recommend them and I haven't even tried the baked goods yet. :)
Fresh bread made from chemical free grain and ground in store. The staff is just wonderful. A tad pricey but well worth it since the bread is made from scratch right there. They do offer punch cards.
Scratch bakery and cafe. Big free slices of bread. Always friendly and welcoming! They grind their grain on site and bake from scratch the old slow way and you can taste the difference. Their sandwiches, paninis, salads, and soups are made fresh.
Amazing! The staff are always so professional and sweet! I'm a regular here and it's always so incredibly tasty! Their bread and ingredients such as hummus for example, they make handmade everyday.
Very Yummy!! I ate the apple bacon grilled cheese panini on garlic cheddar bread. It was sweat and warm, and not dry at all. The store was very quiet and the employees were very accommodating. Definitely would recommend. #sandwiches #sweetandsavory #bacon #yummy
