Stopped here today with a large group. The owner let us get to the buffet and promptly made some more pizza and brought us pitchers of drinks. He was very attentive. He was very friendly and we were very happy to be accommodated so quickly. Pizza was thin crispy crust with delicious sauce. I love authentic NY style pizza but this was tasty. I did not try the Chicago deep dish but it looked yummy. Meatballs and homemade sausage were tasty too. I am from out of town but if this were in my neighborhood I would go back. Give this place a try!

Hubby and I are born and raised Chicagoans and heard about this place through the grape vine. Wow! The crunchy thin pizza brought me back to my childhood. It was perfect local Chicago pizza joint pizza. My husband said the Italian beef was spot on too. We even got a deep dish to take home. We will be back. Plus the guy said they deliver to Fountain? OK!

Amazing food!. This is the best place in the springs to get a real italian beef sandwich. The place is always clean and the staff are nice and what more can you ask for? I read previous reviews saying the place is filthy and I've been going there once a month for six years and it is always clean. they make you a fresh pizza pizza if you request it, salad bar is stocked, and it is amazing! My mom is picking up food there as we speak. It is a family owned buffet and deliver anywhere in the springs but I just stop there when I'm on that side of town. Try it. I recommend it to anyone and everyone. Obviously some people just like to hate. Don't listen to the negative reviews.

AMAZING. For people who love pizza - this is utterly delicious. Nice ambience, clean, and a friendly courteous staff. The owner is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. I have had the buffet, tried the thin and deep dish pizza, and ordered off the menu. I am never disappointed. Their blend of ingredients is an outstanding taste. Though I would love to be selfish and keep this find to myself, it is the best in Colorado Springs. This isn't your typical franchise, it is like the best homemade pizza you have ever had. Generous portions and lots of sauce. Deserving of more than five stars.

It says grand opening because everyday they open their doors is grand. I personally love their pizza, but be warned its not your mainstream garden variety pizza, this is strait up Chicago pizza...my wife from Brooklyn hates it...me being from Illinois could eat this pizza breakfast lunch and dinner.

Not bad for not too much of a selection for buffet. A few pizzas out, but they're pretty good (not necessarily the best, but they beat the chains). Spaghetti was alright as well, but I would love to see a pasta alfredo available. Still, all not too bad (vs. Bambino's or Old Chicago).

Only place in this area to offer Deep Dish Stuffed Pizza. For those of you not in the know, you'll simply shrug off the words "Deep Dish Stuffed Pizza" as just another pizza gimmick. But for those of you who have had this pizza, you know there is nothing like it. This is the kind of stuff that the term "pizza pie" got its origins from. This literally is a pie, with a crust, the fillings in the middle, with another crust on top and then some more sauce! Pizza Hut's "Pan" pizza ain't got nothin' on this!

I could go on and on about the buffet like others, but the deep dish stuffed pizza is what I came here for. Sure, the buffet looks nice (and there were a ton of people who come here for it), but I really wanted to sink my teeth into this pizza. I placed an order for 3 pizza's to take back to my wife and the other nurses at Memorial Hospital. One pizza was a thin crust with some veggies on it, one was a small meat lovers and then the grand-daddy of them all was my supreme deep dish stuffed pizza. To make a long story short, her and her coworkers were talking about the pizza I brought in today long after I left. Direct quote from the text I got from her an hour after I left: "Everyone is talking about how good that pizza is."

If you know my other pizza reviews, then you'll know I place a strong emphasis on sauce. Other "New York" style pizza chains simply do not put on enough sauce. Do no worry about this pizza. The sauce is plentiful as it is sweet and tangy. If I could take this sauce and put it on every other pizza in town....well, it still wouldn't come close because they're not making a true pie. I watched as the owner, Jim, took his pizza cutter and literally had to use his full body to slice into my pie. It's that thick. The crust had a nice flavor that you'd get only from scratch-building the dough. The staff truly takes their time to get it right and clearly has a perfectionist attitude for every pizza they make.

The bottom line is you need to try this pizza. If you have not, you're missing out. I need to come back and try the buffet or at least some of their Chicago-style dogs or made-in-the-shop Italian Sausage.

Thank God that I stumbled across another reviewer on Urbanspoon who brought my attention to this place, otherwise I would have continued believing the rumors that there simply was not a pizza place seemingly in the state of Colorado that sold a pizza like this. Oh, and did I mention he delivers anywhere in Colorado Springs?...

Pleasantly surprised!. Have a pizza craving? Get thee to Billy's! I consider myself to be somewhat of a pizza connoisseur. No matter what city I find myself in, I have to try the local pizza. I'm typically not interested in overpriced "pizza bistros" and tend to look for places that are a bit off the beaten path-- where the locals eat. Recently I've been very disappointed in many of the pizza shops that I've visited. Billy's, however, did not let me down.

The service was fantastic. We were immediately greeted by our waitress and upon selecting the italian buffet as our meal choice, our waitress announced that she would get fresh pizzas out for us. They arrived on the buffet bar in no time- 1 stuffed deep dish and 2 thin crust pizzas (combo of cheese, sausage and pepperoni). The flavor was fantastic! The sauce has a little spice to it, which I LOVED (so many sauces these days are incredibly bland), the dough was fresh with a slight sweetness, the bottom the pie remained crisp when I picked it up (even the deep dish). In a word, superb!

Since I ordered the buffet, I also downed two portions of salad. The lettuce and toppings were ice cold. Perfect! My husband indulged in some of the pasta dishes on the buffet and found them to be satisfactory; however, the pizza was his favorite item as well. The buffet selection included the aforementioned pizzas & salad bar, spaghetti, rigatoni, lasagna, soup, fresh bread and a dessert selection.

As we were leaving, we engaged in some conversation with the owner who was very charming and polite. He was thrilled that we enjoyed our dinner and we promised to spread the word!

We'll be in Colorado Springs for another week and I can guarantee that we'll return to Billy's! before we leave. Highly recommended!

Wow!. 1st time here and I will be back every time I am in Colo Spgs! I had the small pizza which was fantastic ~ the sauce had some spice to it, not a lot, but just enough, there was plenty of cheese but not too much and perfect amount of toppings.
I also ordered a basket of their fresh cut homemade french fries and they were great!
I travel all the time and have had tons of pizza, but this one will make me return time and again. The owner waited on me and what a great guy. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. You cannot go wrong stopping here!

As few as 5 years ago, Billy's Pizza was consistently fantastic, but somewhere over the years, they have lost their touch. I came here with my family on a Saturday afternoon, right when the lunch rush should have been, but it was dead. There was only one

Sweet little spot that takes you back to Chicago and gives you all the feel good tastes and bites you’re crave. Happened to meet someone at the farmers market who recommended Billy’s and we went the same day. It was a bit of a wait because he was short staffed, but it was well worth it. The signature deep dish Chicago style pizza is superior with homemade red sauce. We also ordered a custom thin and crispy garlic butter pizza that was perfection. We’ll definitely be going back to try their dogs next time.

Just tried it and it is amazing! it's so hard to find Deep Dish Pizza in Colorado Springs since most people only like New York style. The pizza was made fresh from order so it took about 30 minutes to get (which is how long fresh pizza takes for everyone complaining about wait time) and it was perfectly cooked. Jim the new owner is amazing and super polite and wants to make sure every customer is satisfied. hope this place gets more customers. also the old arcade game is a nice touch.

We stopped here as recommended by a friend. The owner was so nice and engaged in conversation with us. The Chicago deep dish pizza with Italian sausage was amazing, as well as the garlic bread sticks with cheese! While we were there the owner also gave a customer their food for free as they couldn’t afford it, it showed a lot about his character! Great guy & great food. If we’re ever in the Colorado Springs area again, we will be back.

Fantastic place with authentic Chicago flavors! Keep in mind, if you want a Chicago style deep-dish pizza, it is going to take 30-45 minutes from when it is ordered. When we visited, the owner was the only person working, hustling around the kitchen and trying to keep up with orders coming in on the phone and walk-ins like us. He was warm, welcoming, and friendly even though he was utterly overwhelmed. Pizza was amazing. Italian beef was amazing. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're in a hurry, but as is true in most cases "The best things in life are worth waiting for"

If you are looking for great atmosphere, food and service this is your place! This is truly a mom and pop place. Today was our first time eating here and I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner. We ordered fries and a deep dish Chicago. Everything is made to order from scratch. Fries came out hot and crispy. The pizza was amazing. You could actually taste the different flavors in the pizza unlike so many others where it's all one flavor, tomato. It wasn't greasy like most pizzas either. The service was outstanding. Friendly and professional. It was nice going into a restaurant and talking with the owner and having them make you feel like you are important and not just a number. This is our new favorite pizza joint. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. I was impressed with the price. Cheaper than 4 of us going to a chain restaurant.

I woke up with a craving for Chicago deep dish, and a couple Fat Tires. Billy's has been on my list for a while now. So glad we came in. Jim was very nice and helpful. The deep dish is exactly what I've been craving for years. Better than the Gino's East in Texas. The sauce is perfect. The crust is crackery and delicious. If the pizza is this good, my next visit I'll be trying a hot beef sandwich. Thank you Jim for a great pie!

Went here for lunch and had a blast getting to know the owner, Jim. He engaged in conversation with us, got to know us, cooked our pie, and served us. He offered us some italian beef to try as well. The pizza was delicious and fresh. Overall great experience and definitely recommend!

Great pizza! Jim is a great guy, my family and I ate there for the first time right after Thanksgiving. We ordered a large deep dish meat lovers, it was AWESOME. We need more people in the world like Jim, a really nice person and great host.

We went to Billy's Old World Pizza for dinner this evening and WOW! We thought we liked Giordano's in Denver until we tasted Jim's deep dish. The crust is flavorful, crispy and well done. The sauce is thick, flavorful, really delicious. Everything was fresh and quality ingredients. I'm so glad we finally tried it out. Jim, the owner, was wonderful, took the time to get to know us and educate us on his pizza and other offerings. He even gave us a sample of his roast beef, which I can't wait to try in a meal, and showed us the private event room and told us it can hold up to 50 people, so will definitely keep that in mind! Overall this was one of my favorite experiences at a local restaurant here in the Springs and I can't wait to heat up the rest of my pizza for lunch tomorrow (in the oven, not microwave, as Jim advised).
