Came for a quick dinner at the suggestion of a friend of mine. I am thoroughly impressed. I ordered the tongue tacos, a pork tamale, and a chile pablano. Everything was so good that I clean my plates. The fixings for the tacos where very fresh, the tamale was tender and soft, as was the pablano pepper. The flavors where a beautiful symphony attesting to the authenticity of this establishment. I will be returning frequently.
My favorite Mexican restaurant since 2011. Great food and staff. My favorites are Sopa de Pollo (chicken soup), Tostada Ceviche (lime-cooked tilapia) and anything "al pastor" (marinated pork), especially the Quesadilla California. Love their Carne Asada and Tres Amigos (beef, shrimp, chicken) as well. As for desserts the Fruit Salad is awesome.
Bionicos, Green Burrito and more. Because of the high rating we decided to try Taqueria Jalisco. We are glad we did. I had a Steak Green Burrito. It covered the plate and had steak and spinach in a green tortillas and sprinkled with Mexican cheese. It was delicious. My husband had the Quesadilla. He really like it. Then we ordered Bionicos. We found heaven. I have been looking up recipes since we got home. Fresh fruits with a cream sauce sprinkled with granola. It was for two. I could have it for breakfast or lunch by itself. We will return. I want to try their Flan and have more Bionico!
Excellent. The green burrito is my favorite!!
Pretty Good Mexican for the area. If I am in the area this is where to get good quality Mexican, unless I want to drive to El Pablano in Chapin (which is the best of any). The fajitas were very good, cooked really well. My margarita was a little ice chunky, but pretty good. The beef tongue taco I had to try for the first time was exactly what they say. It seemed like a steamed tongue sliced in chips with no seasoning beside the onions and cilantro...and it was very bland and awkward tasting. I will most likely be back to try some of the other menu items though, everything we saw looked good!
Best Mexican food in Columbia!!. I love the food at this restaurant, the taste is amazing, it is very authentic and the prices are reasonable. The ceviches, carne asada, fajitas and quesadilla california are my favorites.. but OMG..everything is sooo tasty!!!!!! Best mexican food in Columbia!!!!
Excellent. I wanted to try this restaurant because I heard they has Horchata. I was going to go with the Tamales that were on the specials board along with a tongue taco (never had tongue wanted to give it a try). I also got a cheese quesadilla for my 3 year old. The waitress informed me that they were out of tamales. I decided to go with the tortilla soup. Oh man, after trying that soup I was glad they were out of tamales. The soup was very good on a chilly, rainy day and it had a nice kick that was smoothed out by the avocado. The tongue taco was OK. It was tender and had a good spice flavor. I just don't think I am going to be a fan of it. My sons quesadilla was good and so was the horchata. If you've never had horchata give it a try. If you like chai tea you will love it.
Tamale Special. I like Jalisco and have been here many times. The other day, they had tamales on their specials board. It was a great price! One chicken tamale, one pork, rice & beans for $4.75. They were good, but overall could have used more seasoning and some parts of the meat filling were dry. My full review is on my blog.
thankfully, as I moved further into the tamales, the meat became moist. I guess just those first few bites at the end of the husk got a little over-steamed.
