My hubby and I found this delicious BBQ restaurant yesterday while we were on our break from watching the bands at MU. The meat was so flavorful that I did not want to, nor did I, add any sauce to it. Yummmm!!!! I loved the Saturday special Deal of the Day!! That was some delicious smoked meat on that sandwich!!! Then, I was surprised by being offered some ice cream for dessert! It was not the melt-into-water kind that are often found free at buffets. Nope! It was ice cream that melted into milk!! So delicious!! I was way too full to have more than a little cup full, but the man was kind enough to offer some for me to take home! If I had been staying at a hotel, I would have taken him up on that!! Delicious!!!!
We went thru the drive thru and they were quick. The food was great! We had our dogs and they gave them treats. Will be our new go to BBQ spot.
We walked in 40 min until closing. Rather than acting upset that an indecisive family of 5 came in right before closing, they were super helpful and patient. Food was terrific. I had the Beef and Cheese Baker, which I highly recommend, and even when we were here at 9 p.m. (closing time), the guy told us to take our time and finish our food. I appreciate that kind of customer service and will definitely return! Especially on Sundays, because kids eat freeeeeee!
Good food as always! My grandchildren love getting ice cream after the meal!

Had pork ribs, waffle fries & jalapeño beans. Meat was moist & tender & fall off the bone good. Loved the beans. Will go back again. Love this place.

Love this place. Great food and great price. The Mac and cheese, pulled pork, rolls, and everything else on the menu makes me want to eat here everyday. The coleslaw I got today looked like and tasted like baked beans :/. Someone must have gotten the order messed up, otherwise

Dickey's BBQ is the best in Columbia. It has the right balance of smoke, spice and tenderness. You can't beat their wide variety of sides and condiments. If you like BBQ, Dickey's is the place to eat!

We tried Dickey's for the first time today. Being from Kansas City I tend to be critical of the barbecue places that I go to, but I was impressed by this place. I had the pulled pork Big Barbecue sandwich and my friend had the brisket sandwich. The pork had a soggy-like texture and lacked flavor. However, the brisket was delicious and had a great meaty flavor with big chunks and crispy edges. The bun was perfect, slightly crispy around the edge and soft, warm and buttery in the middle. I usually like a sweet sauce over a spicy one, but I felt Dickeys sweet sauce was almost too sweet for me. The Original was unremarkable. That spicy sauce, though was really tasty!! My only wish is that it were thicker. The baked beans were on point and you could tell the fried okra was fresh when you bit into it because it had a nice green color and tasted like okra, not oil like some places. It's some of the best fried okra that I've ever had. The Blondie Brownie was slightly warmed, super soft on the inside and extra chocolatey. Plus, FREE ice cream! I will definitely be back...but not ordering the pulled pork again. Overall it is a nice, clean place and the staff was friendly.
Very Good for a Chain. Dickey's is a decent sized fast food chain that specializes in Texas style barbeque. Which makes it someone unique in that it's good for a southern based chain. Despite beef usually being king in Texas barbeque, Dickey's has very good pulled pork and polish sausage, decent cheddar sausage, good ribs, and decent brisket. What you really want though is the daily specials, in particular Wednesday during which they take generous portions of their two best meats and put them on a big toasted roll along with cheese and, if you want, onions and pickles. It's easily some of the best fast food in Columbia.
I love their pulled pork, delicious sides, big yellow cup (Coke Products) and to top it off with ice cream! I go here at least once or twice a week! Mmm! If you love BBQ at a fair price you must go! Great value and great customer service!

Awesome place to eat barbecue, Some of the biggest portions really good flavors and free soft served ice cream. I make root beer floats. Also very reasonable price.
The food is fast and consistently good. I really like the turkey, brisket and the hot cheese sausage. Ribs are pretty good. chicken or pork are decent too but I always go back to the 3 meat plate- turkey, brisket, & sausage. Great selection and choice of sides, I prefer the onion strings, loaded mash potatoes, or the Mac and cheese. The bbq sauce isn’t needed but definitely preferred for me because it’s so good. and don’t forget your free ice cream cone!
