We had our wedding reception here tonight. It's the only place we wanted to have our special day because Chutney's is like family to us. The food is divine, best Indian food ever, and their Gobi Manchurian is one of the best things I've ever eaten, period. The staff treated our small party like royalty. We all felt special. They let us bring in our own cake and served it to us (with lots of leftover containers so that everyone could take a piece). We stayed for 3 hours with our family, friends, and our Chutney family having a lovely time. Chutney's is our happy place, our restaurant. We love it and the staff.
Hands down, best Indian food that I have eaten in the region. Flavorful, not overly seasoned, fresh visually appealing and stellar service. Eager to return. Very friendly staff and cozy decor. I highly recommend this establishment. Great for vegetarians and carnivores alike.
Excellent buffet, with a good variety of items. Happy to see that the buffet is also offered on Sundays. You can order a la carte but we've never felt the need to. The staff is always friendly with good service. We have to drive an hour now to get there, but it's always worth it: best Indian restaurant around!
The food, service, and atmosphere were wonderful! We were a larger group with 4 children and 4 adults and the staff had no trouble accommodating us. Our waiter, Jack, provided excellent service and was great with our children. We’re still enjoying the leftovers and can’t wait to return!
Amazing. Service was awesome and we got the Chicken Makhani and Chicken Tikka Masala. Both amazing. Definitely recommend.
I eat here almost every week, or multiple times a week. Raj and his family treat you with the best of service. The food is amazing and I will continue to bring others to Chutney.
My girlfriends Gloria & Ayorkor took me to Chutney for my birthday yesterday and not only was the food awesomely delicious, especially the korma & goat curry but the wait staff was extremely kind and attentive !! They even brought us a sweet little gift of the chef dessert !!! This is our second birthday celebration there (Ayorkor's last time) and we may well return for our next birthday celebration.
We ate here last night! The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The variety of Indian foods we shared was delicious and spiced as we requested. We were even served a few complimentary taste treats! We felt treated like family at this restaurant! Staff was friendly, efficient, attentive, and hospitable. They all worked together treating customers like honored guests. We highly recommend this all round excellent restaurant for a wonderful dining experience!
We came tonight as a party of 16. We were sat right away and greeted by our waiter. Excellent customer service (and humor from our waiter) and delicious food!!!
Amazing little restaurant. Staff is attentive very nice and funny. Never had a low water or tea. And as soon as we ran out of something it was replaced. I'm not a huge fan of Indian food, we went for hubbies birthday, but I loved EVERYTHING we ordered. I even ate it for breakfast and lunch today. They also came and sang happy birthday with a cute desert with candle. We will for sure go there again and again❤️
Also I know Indian food has lots of veggie dishes but usually not comparable to meat entrees. But they have tandoori shrimp which is awesome!
An amazing restaurant. Don't know what will Marylander's do without this restaurant. Great food and extra ordinary customer Service. They treat everyone with respect and it's a very welcoming homely atmosphere. Lately they have been packed all the time and you may have to wait to be seated, which is totally worth it.
We love The Chutney, with is friendly wait staff and great Indian food. I really like the Goat Curry most.
SUCH excellent service and great flavor. Highly recommend.

Our party of 16 received fast service and our waiter was funny, patient and explain what different things were on the menu. Me being way out of my comfort zone was very at ease ordering and satisfied with what I had! It also helped that the menu explained what every thing was.... I would so go back. �
My husband & I ate there last night. Everything was superb including the food, environmental & especially the customer service, they extended themselves!! We would highly recommend & will definitely be back.
If I could I’d give this place 500 stars! It’s the best restaurant I have EVER been to. I plan to have my wedding reception here, it is that good! I came with my family and we tried almost everything on the menu. Not one thing was off. Every single dish was 100 percent perfectly delicious, flavorful, aromatic and tantalizingly satisfying. I love this place. I love the food. The food is the best part. They also treat you very good if you come for your birthday! The best experience. The best flavors. The most hospitable people!
I've started a new date night routine with my husband. We're traveling around the world w/ food w/o leaving the USA. India was our first stop we chose Chutney b/c it's nearby. I'm giving this lovely little place a 5/5 b/c the staff right out of the gate was fantastic, very attentive & helpful. Being that this was our first time, we needed help. Chutney is a very nice place for a date night, the food is phenomenal & it's very cozy in the dining room. I will definitely be going back!
Chicken Tikka was just okay same goes for the lamb biryani. Don't get me wrong it was still good but I've had better at other places. Staff and service was friendly and attentive.
Enjoyed this restaurant very much. Great customer service, and the e food was fantastic. Nice cossy feel for the evening, with soft Indian music that was not too loud, but just enough to give you the feeling.
We adore this place. We've been coming since it was Akbar's, and continued thru its new incarnation as Chutney. We love the food. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. They are good at spicing or not spicing food as directed. I've never had a bad dish here, and recommend this restaurant to everyone I know.
Food is amazing. Service is slow but it's an authentic Indian and I expect as such. Got the Malai Kofta and Lamb Rogan Josh. The Malai is fabulous - could drink this sauce. Their Naan is wonderful and fresh.
Only complaint is how long it took to get the food boxed up and get the check. Not worth a star reduction. Great place if you have the time to sit and enjoy. Otherwise get it to-go.
