My first time here. Awesome steak. Server was the best of the best. Loved that I said I wanted a fruity alcoholic drink, I let him surprise me, and it ranks in the top 3 of any I’ve ever had….desserts were unbelievable.
This is it. If you haven't eaten at a Jeff Ruby's, stop reading reviews and make a reservation now. Don't show up without one, food at this level is noticed by all and requires planning. Sushi, steak, seafood and all menu items is in the top tier including the service. Wine list is amazing, and drinks are made to dazzle. While all servers are the best here, Jordan is always our go to. Thanks Jordan!
We found this restaurant on chance using Google. One of the BEST dining experiences, and we’ve dined at many Michelin starred restaurants. Not only was the good mind blowing, the service was really standout.
We started our experience with the valet who were very attentive. We were early and wanted to take a short walk. When we started in the wrong direction of the restaurant, the valet attendant made sure to let us know the restaurant was not in the direction we were headed. He was extremely kind and concerned we didn’t know where the front door was.
When we checked in at the hostess stand, 10 minutes early for our reservation, they seated us immediately. They also sat us in a cozy booth even though we made our reservation last minute.
Bailey came to the table first within a minute of us being sat. He introduced himself and asked us about ordering our water service. Immediately, we noticed his personality was warm and inviting. He said we was assisting Jeremy for the evening. Turns out Bailey was so impressionable throughout the evening, he completely elevated our experience. He was so impressionable we had to know more about his story and it turns out he was alumni of TBITL. My husband is as well and I had to grab a pic to commemorate two band alumni!
Jeremy was the ultimate professional - attentive, kind and efficient.
On the way out, I spoke to the manager, David to pay a compliment about our experience. He took the time to go get his card from his office and expressed gratitude for the positive feedback.
Ordered: Scallops appetizer, Steak Rossini, Barrel cut filet, shishito peppers and mushrooms.
An all around great dining experience and top 3! Thank you all for a great evening experience!
Fantastic steak house.
Mike was an awesome host for our company Christmas party and the rest of the staff were amazing.
The food was no way compared to anything else.
If you have the money, this upscale resteraunt is worth the time and money.
We were in the Buckeye roomm which was great for any Buckeye fan!
Dined in to celebrate my 35th birthday and the passing of my licensure exam. The restaurant is beautiful and the wait staff is pleasant and friendly. Everything was perfect except my appetizer. I ordered the crab bisque which was just too salty and ended up messing up the flavor or the rest of my food that night. While the server offered to take care of it, I told him it was okay and that I would finished it, which I did. Don't get me wrong The flavor was amazing; however, it was just way too salty. I called myself sucking it up but in the end I wish I would not have. My main course was the boneless ribeye cooked medium and a loaded baked potato. Both came out perfect. The steak was cooked medium and was just the way I wanted it to be. The baked potato was huge and the toppings they supplied were just enough. My mother ordered a Caesar salad and the crab cake. The Caesar salad was also very large and could feed two people. My father ordered the scallops as an appetizer and the pork chops for his entree. We ordered two other side dishes that night. Lobster mashed potatoes and baked macaroni and cheese. I personally did not care for the baked macaroni and cheese because of the cheeses that were used but my father enjoyed it and so did my mother. All three of us thought the lobster mashed potatoes were to die for! For dessert, we ordered the carrot cake which was to go. I also thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definitely return in hopes that the crab bisque will not be so salty.
This was our first time at Jeff Ruby's. We came to celebrate our 23rd anniversary. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and escorted to our table. We were met by our server, Jordan. He was helpful and provided us with inciteful information in regards to the menu. He suggested multiple items and broke down the nuances of items. He answered our questions and made our dining experience one to remember. I've always said a wait staff can make or break your overall meal. Jordan was top-notch. Now as for the food. We started with Waygu Meatballs that were outstanding. (Highly recommend) As for our main course, I chose the Lobster Burrow. Even in a restaurant, I had to represent my beloved Bengals. The steak was cooked to perfection along with a hearty lobster tail. As a side, we opted for the award winning Mac and cheese. We were impressed with the flavor and overall creaminess of the Mac and cheese. My wife opted to go with Colinsworth. She enjoyed the flavor of the steak and asparagus. We then received a treat for our 23rd anniversary, a little sampler of the butter pie and a cookie. We decided to get the dark chocolate brownie with the house made ice cream with rich and creamy. Our overall experience was made to make us feel special. If you have a couple of extra bucks, I highly recommend this restaurant as it hits on all the notes.
A friend decided to take us out for dinner. We decided on the boneless ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Topped the evening with a delicious butter pie and Woodford chocolate cake. It is well decorated with beautiful chandeliers and the downstairs has photos of famous people.
We decided to spend the weekend in Columbus for Christmas Shopping. While discussing dinner options, we remembered hearing so many friends recommending Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse. Not having reservations, we were fortunate to have two stools open up at the bar. Our Bartender, Olivia, was very professional and friendly. She suggested and prepared incredible drinks. We decided on sharing appetizers and chose the Colossal Shrimp Cocktail, Crabcakes, and Meatballs. All three were incredible, especially the Shrimp! The next time we are in Columbus, we are very much looking forward to returning for an incredible dinner.
We booked The Buckeye Room for a private birthday event and had an amazing evening. Not only were the food and service first class, but the OSU-themed room itself made the whole night so much more memorable.
Our party of 12 got there early and had cocktails at the bar and were happily escorted to our table well ahead of our reservation. Everyone on the staff was attentive and professional; especially our server Michael. He paced the night just right and somehow kept everything organized.
I highly recommend this Jeff Ruby's location for business meetings, personal dining, or for private events like ours. We had a wonderful time and would gladly return again!
Wow, Jordan really added to this great experience. The food was wonderful and what a beautiful atmosphere. Delicious scallops, steaks and sides were only part of what we enjoyed. A must try in Columbus.
Took my best friend here for her 30th birthday and it was a whole vibe! The food was top tier and the staff was so chill and knowledgeable. Definitely going back.
My filet mignon with blue cheese was done to perfection. I ordered it medium and the steak knife fell through the steak with a slight sawing motion with no pressure added. The staff was very friendly and attentive, including the manager who visited our table several times making sure everything was good. He recommended the butter pie which was one of the most incredible desserts I've ever eaten in my entire life. The fries were perfection and lots of them.
Awesome dining experience! Excellent steaks, sides and desserts with very attentive service. Great wine list. Spectacular ambiance for a special date.
This is what you think of when you imagine an upscale steakhouse. Service was absolutely impeccable, food was delicious, and the cocktails were right on point. I can't wait to go back!
Phenomenal steakhouse with a couple of very well aged steaks on the menu. The 70 day aged ribeye knocked our socks off, and the lobster mac and cheese was easily the best I've ever had.
Wow!! What an incredible evening filled with dining, sweet treats, and memories celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary!! Our special place has been Jeff Ruby's since our 1 year anniversary....which is an anniversary all on its own!! This was our first time to Columbus, and we will be back♡♡♡
Our server, Jaimie was a complete delight and gave us the best experience either one of us have had- EVER. I cannot praise her enough on her grace along with her professionalism.
They also had a lovely pianist preforming live, which only added extra to an already perfect evening!!
The food, well...I didn't know they could improve the Mac & cheese, but somehow they did. We tried the Filet and Lobster Burrow with the Godfather roll for an appetizer(not pictured). Oh my goodness- the flavors explode on your palate of savory, mouth-watering perfection with every bite. We also were gifted with a little celebration dessert that included their famous Butter Pie. We ordered a piece to go. Our only mistake was not getting a second piece!! Get that pie, even if it's to go. If heaven had a taste, it would be that Butter pie!!
I highly recommend every Jeff Ruby's, especially the Columbus location ♡♡♡
I really did enjoy the atmosphere here. The service was exceptional. You will want to dress nice as this is a rather nice/expensive restaurant. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and i would recommendthe mac and cheese. I do not typically spend this much money to eat out so it was definitely a treat and out of my norm. Perfect for a special occasion or night out without the kids.
