So much great food. We way over ordered but enjoyed every single thing we got. The donuts and breakfast sandwiches are crazy good. Not much seating but we found a couple spots eventually
Fudging delicious. That’s it. That’s the review.
I did appreciate the cashier letting me know about the buy 4 get 1 deal.
All flavours are delicious. Had a special maple bacon bar - I didn’t get it but looked so good.
You can’t go wrong.
The BEST donuts I have ever tasted, and I’ve tried a lot! I was visiting from Arizona, and went to North Market and only bought two. My last morning I made my Uber driver stop, so I could could bring some home.
Iconic donut shop in Ohio. The donuts are so good!! They also have great coffee. Definitely visit if you're a student wanting a treat or to study. Highly recommend!
Came to Columbus for my daughter's birthday stopped in an gas station and the attendant highly recommend Buckeye and I am so glad we stopped. My daughter and niece received free donuts for their birthdays which was a great surprise. Now let's talk about the donuts. We got a variety of donuts including the yeast, red velvet, lemon and a bunch more. Although all the donuts were delish their yeast donuts are hands down the best yeast donut I have ever tasted. Now every time I am in Columbus I will be stopping by.
Just an unbelievable place, I ate fantastic donuts and the best Gyro ever at the same place. Great indie music playing, employees who care about the food they are making. Eclectic and one of kind atmosphere.
Mixed reviews on the cronuts: The cronut tasted like a glazed yeast donut. Huge and not bad, but I wouldn't spend $4 on one in future- personal opinion. I've had some excellent cronuts with more of the croissant flakiness I've come to expect from this unique crossover, though. My partner enjoyed the cronut with drizzled chocolate.
Pros: My blueberry cake donut was incredibly good- top 20% of blueberry donuts I've had. Service was incredibly friendly. The gyro only took about 5 minutes to receive. The old counter diner feel was cute.
Cons: I tried a bite of the steak gyro my partner ordered. I love gyros, but this was a burger wrapped in pita bread. Overall, the food was a pass for me. For $30 for two people, I want to walk away feeling the food was better than fast food and unfortunately, that's not what happened here for me. I know they are best known for their buckeye donut, which several people ordered while we were eating and clearly enjoyed.
Stopped in for a late night donut after a show at Newport and it was great! The donuts are delicious and affordable and they have a lot of options. I absolutely love that its open 24 hours, such a cool late night spot. Definitely recommend for everyone visiting Columbus or seeing a show down the street.
This is a must visit place for any student or anyone in the area really. No matter the time of day, buckeye donuts are always serving the best quality donuts in all of Columbus. You seriously can not go wrong with any donut you choose as they are all equally amazing. I highly recommend visiting here as I can not say enough good things about the donuts!!
Returning to Columbus after a decade, this spot, once a go-to for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during my college days, still exudes the same taste and warm hospitality. It's a nostalgic trip that reaffirms that nothing has changed here over the years.
Extra points for the great service and super cute kitschy ambiance! Plenty of variety with some creative touches and open 24 hours! We tried the frosted red velvet, vanilla cream long John, blueberry, apple crisp, and buckeye. All were solid, enjoyable donuts. Not too sweet, nice cake-like consistency. Well-priced too: we got five donuts for $8, which is a bargain!
Close to campus housings, this small little joint is open 24/7. They have varieties of donuts. We stopped by to buy two donuts for a quick dessert. The donuts were good. They were never too sweet, delicious, and cheap. What else do ya want!
I can't believe anyone would give this place a bad review. I can only imagine they were Michigan fans or hd no taste buds. The cronut is amazing. The maple bacon is good too the filling is a little too sweet for my taste, I have yet to try the buckeye, but how can you go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate.
It really good a lot of options of donut’s and they have a lot of drinks and the people were nice and they are open 24/7 I recommend it.
Highly recommend the cinnamon roll and philly cheese steak gyro. They also have the best French fries I've had in a long time. Super crispy and piping hot, right out of the fryer.
There was a short line on a Sunday morning. Mostly students. Is it really that good, mmm I don't know.
I mean their yeast donut is soft with right about of sugar. Long Johns to me has too much filling and glazed that it is too sweet. Maybe college students can handle that much sugar but not for an older adult. It is like 60% glaze and 40% dough.
Breakfast sandwich is meh, you can make it better at home easy.
Haven't try their coffee this morning but I will update once I did.
Overall I don't hate it, but for sure wouldn't wait in line for it. It is very convenient if you live on campus or nearby. And they open 24/7
Buckeye Donuts...either the location on campus or South High st is the way donut shops USED to be. The campus location never closes to my knowledge
Staff on osu campus location can be hilarious to watch. They have more than just donuts...gyros, chicken sandwiches, burgers and of course DONUTS.
They also make donuts for other donut shops in the area that have decided it less costly and dangerous to have Buckeye make donuts than make them themselves.
You really need to check them out if you want an honest donut (raised or cake) at a decent price. Best time? I'm partial to the 2:30 am crowd on campus. Interesting people watching.
