We arrived just after they were closing after lunch & prepping for dinner. We were very hungry & didn't want to go anywhere else. The server said they could serve us soup or salad.
The wedding soup was amazing, the salad was fine and the dinner rolls were perfect! All was served piping hot!
Claudia, the server who kindly seated us, provided excellent service even knowing we were not a high cost meal!
Would love to come back some time to try their dinner meals.
The food was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Home made pasta, great orange Mojito's, friendly staff, great food, Perfect for a special evening
Without a doubt, the best Italian food I have found to date in Columbus. Their pastas are made at the restaurant and their entrees always individually prepared.....fresh, hot and delicious. My friends and I say it's the type of food one would find at a good Italian restaurant in Rome..
We went tonight to celebrate our anniversary and could not of picked a better place. Staff was great and food was amazing.
One of my favorite restaurants. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced, as well as a nice wine selection. We have never been disappointed and highly recommend Claudianas. I wish they closer to home !
This is our favorite local Italian restaurant. Staff are always very courteous and accommodating. Food is well prepared and fresh. Adequate wine selection to pair with your favorite dish.
My wife and I tried Claudiana tonight for the first time. We have been searching for a great local Italian place. This does not disappoint. The staff were very friendly, the food exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back!
The first time we had dinner at Claudiana's, I had flashbacks to my Grandmother's kitchen (she was born and grew up in Sicily)...I knew we would be coming back frequently. The food and the experience have been wonderful each and every time. If you're looking for authentic Italian, this is the place!

Wonderful atmosphere and the food is just so good. I've been there a few times now and everything is delicious and thoughtfully made.
Expertly prepared food from scratch, attentive service with out pretensions. The veal Saltinboca and the Gnocchi were truly what good food for the soul is meant to be. My regret is that I have only a few days left in this fair city and will not be able to return as often as I will be very far away.
Best Gnocchi I've ever had! Delicious wine! Outstanding service and great atmosphere! Loved it, will definitely be back!
Best Italian food in and around Columbus. Authentic and expertly prepared. Service was excellent and the food comes at the right pace and temperature. Will definitely be back.

Love this restaurant! I've only been twice, but my husband's family goes there all the time! The Guzzo's love it! Super nice owners & staff! One of my favorite Caeser salads! And the baklava is so good! The only thing I would change is the lighting. It's very dark inside, which makes it hard to read the menu. But the food & service definitely make up for it!

This was my first time here! I loved it! Unbelievably good food and wonderful service. I'll be back!
Have been there many times and have had a very good experience each time. It's generally family friendly and the food is authentic. I'm Italian. The wine list is extensive and the markups are really reasonable which is a rare occurrence in Columbus where the markups are often 3X retail. I highly recommend this place.
4 of us went for dinner Sat. 7/22 all of us had different meals and everyone was very impressed . The service was excellent from the time we arrived till the time we left will definitely be back.
Chicken Penne was delicious! Staff is very friendly. Prices were competitive if not slightly below average. Very happy and would definitely come back if I'm in the neighborhood again!
Worth the drive every time. This is THE BEST ITALIAN ON THE PLANET! Homemade everything. Friendliest staff. Cozy atmosphere....can't wait to go back. So far we've had the penne arabiata, lasagna, ravioli alla claudiana, and gnocchi alla piedmontese, the claudiana caprice and the side claudiana salad. Finish that with tiramisu....feel as if I've died and gone to Italy :)
Romantic destination for our first anniversary!. I called Claudiana on a whim because I was looking for a place to surprise my wife on our 1st wedding anniversary. I saw this place on Google and had never heard of it before, but it had great ratings. I called and talked to one of the owners (owned by a husband-wife team), who assured me that we would be very happy with their food and one of the best wine selections in town.
When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the owner, seated promptly, and served our wine (Moscato di Asti). Our appetizers (Claudiana Caprese) came before our bread was even on the table (both of which were delicious... and the bread has an herb butter with it that's to-die-for). Our entrees (Eggplant Parmesan and Ravioli alla Viktoria) were phenomenal in all senses. My wife and I agree that it's the BEST Italian cuisine we've ever had by a landslide. No exaggeration, it's the best.
For dessert, which was kindly offered complements of the house on our anniversary, we had their homemade tiramisu. It was, again, delicious. Meanwhile, throughout our meal, we were treated as family by the owners, who were probably the sweetest people we've ever met.
In summary, don't waste any more time before you go check this place out. From the outside, it looks small, but the inside is full of charm and romance. It's a great place to take someone special, but it would be an excellent dinner destination for a large group as well. Can't say enough good things about Claudiana Italian Restaurant! We'll be back again and again.
Authentic italian food.. We were a group of six and the food each one of us had were all so delicious. Good service by the lady who run the place. My personal favorite was Penne Arabiata.
BEST Restaurant / BEST Food / BEST Atmosphere. HIDDEN GEM. You will regret not trying it!
For us, this is the best Italian restaurant we have ever been to. Actually... best restaurant we have been to! Small hidden gem!! We live nearby and have seen it for months in the little strip center... finally decided to try it and have no regrets (other than the regret we didn’t try it sooner)! From the outside, you would never tell how good this place really is. Intimate setting, great décor, and great atmosphere! The staff was spectacular and the owner is very involved and truly wants to make your experience great. As soon as we walked in, we loved it. But then the food came out... The most delicious meal I think we have ever experienced! The warm bread was good. The appetizer (tomato/mozzarella basil dish) was DELICIOUS! The drink selection is great as well. We were there for a late dinner... about 8pm... and the place was almost full still. People were really enjoying themselves, conversating etc. Small, cute bar in the back. The best part... our main dish. We had the specials... a surf and turf and a veal with risotto. The food was UNREAL. Hands down, no comparison to any other Italian restaurant we have been to. This is definitely our new favorite restaurant! Our bill was on the high end for two people... but we were expecting that... with appetizer, two glasses of wine, and two of the most expensive meals on the menu... I would pay that again in a heartbeat. We could have very easily eaten there for half the cost we did though; the range in menu items is wonderful, but the menu size is perfect. Oh ya... and can't forget the tiramisu we had for desert... WONDERFUL!
Fabulous restaurant. The food is delicious. The owners and wait staff are a delight. Must have the baklava for dessert... The best I have ever had.
Recommend it. I went there with 6 people, and some of them are rather discerning, and we all had great meals. The ciabatta bread before the meal was also excellent. Being our first time at the restaurant we shared bites of each others meals and we all agreed that mine was the best. I had Pollo Alla Riviera, chicken in a cream sauce with vegetables and pasta on the side with red sauce. Very flavorful. Other dishes were spaghetti and meatballs, Chicken Parmesan and fish. Like I said, all of the meals were very good. Wait staff is very attentive and helpful. only down side is the location in the strip center. if it were in a better location it would be a major draw. The decor inside is very nice, then you come out and remember that you are in a strip center. We also got to meet the owner and he was very personable. I don't believe that you would be disappointed.
Wonderful new Italian restaurant. I'm not sure how long Claudiana has been in this location, but we ate there when it used to be an Indian restaurant. its in a strip mall with plenty of parking. the restaurant itself is small, but nicely decorated and more on the classy side, although not too fancy. I really think they should take the neon beer signs out of the front window though. it doesnt go at all with the theme of the place.
we were seated quickly and they accomodated our child. however, it was mostly an older crowd and never saw one other child throughout our time there. it took a little while for our drink order to be taken, but otherwise our server was great. the complimentary bread and garlic butter was delicious. our server explained the specials and gave us recommendations based on our preferences. all of the pastas are made fresh at the restaurant (except for the penne for some reason). we started with "harvest salads" and were so glad we did. they were delicious and a good size for $3.50.
I really wanted to try the ravioli or lasagna, but settled on the shrimp and sausage arriabiate because I like spicy stuff. my wife got a chicken dish although I cant remember which one. both dishes were excellent. the homemade pasta was fantastic although my wife thought hers was slightly overcooked. the portions were huge so we each got 2 full meals out of it. which is good, since the prices were a little on the high side. we also tried a side of meatballs just to test them out. they were very good, but not quite great.
I am very glad to have tried this place, and I am happy that it is pretty close to us. I would definitely go back. I would say it is the second best Italian restaurant in the Columbus area (giving a slight edge to Morettis on Sawmill). but I will probably go back to Claudiana's more often due to its proximity. Thanks for a great meal.
My friend and I had dinner here tonight and it was SO GOOD!!! Try this place! It's worth it!
Magnifique!. This place was wonderful! I loved -both- the food and the service. The kindest couple runs the show here and I could not give higher props to any place I've ever been. Delicious. Charming. ...Lovely. Thank you!
One of the best meals I've eaten. The decor was classy but not overbearing. Beautiful table settings, appropriate lighting and decoration. I know that the place is in a strip mall and has booths (we actually sat in one) but it really does project a nice, romantic dinner. The service was enthusiastic, friendly and timely. The real star of the show, though, was the food. In particular, my Spaghetti Alla Vongole was delicious. I was told that it was the chef's favorite dish and I can see why. The HOMEMADE pasta was delicate and tasty. The light white wine sauce was portioned perfectly. And the clams, oh the clams. There were so many of them! The flavors were very well-balanced with no part of the dish overpowering any of the rest. I couldn't recommend this dish enough.
My wife and I had dinner here last night for the first time and it was Excellent!! Loved every bit of this family owned restaurant. The owners (a husband and wife team) were onsite, with her serving and him going between the kitchen and dining room. The restaurant itself is a little cozy place tucked into a strip mall on Sancus just off the main Polaris strip. Interior is well decorated and even @ 3/4 full, the place was quiet. The hostess greeted us when we entered and we were seated immediately. Servers were on their game! Knowledgeable about the menu, friendly, and left you alone while making sure you had everything you need. Now...onto the food. The bread was warm and tasty, served when our waitress greeted us. Also promptly refilled when empty. We both had the Claudiana salad to start which was just the right size and good. The main courses were the chicken sage something or other and old school spaghetti and meatballs. The chicken dish was served with fettuccine alfredo and broccoli. Loved it! The pasta was wider and considerably thinner than usual but tasty. The sauce on the chicken mixed well with the Alfredo. The spaghetti and meatballs were terrific! You could tell the pasta was homemade, the sauce was certainly their own as were the giant meatballs. We finished the meal off with the tiramisu which was awesome! Are you sensing a theme here? Locally owned, cozy and quiet, pasta, sauces, and desserts made in-house, great service, and excellent food. Skip the Olive Garden, Carrabbas, and Marcellas. We will definitely be back!
Best Italian Food!. We ate at Claudiana's last night and it was fantastic! In my opinion, it was one of the best Italian meals that I have eaten in quite some time. The wedding soup is a must! The Chicken Parm was extremely juicy and the pasta makes me want to buy a pasta machine. Our party also ate the chicken piccata and ravioli. They all gave rave reviews. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. Though, I don't think there is anything on the menu that would not be amazing. We look forward to our next dining experience!
One of our favorite Italian restaurants in Columbus. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who knows good Italian food. My wife and I rate this as one of the 4 best Italian restaurants we have been to, anywhere (including Italy). Try the Italian wedding soup, the Eggplant Parm (when available), and the seafood "Cioppino al a Pescana" (usually avail at dinner only). The ambiance is superb and service has always been great (we have been there 3 times). They have a nice wine & inexpensive selection.
Love it!!!. What can my husband and I say about Claudiana other than it is the best! We are both very picky about quality of food and the Bedalli family has truely out done themselves with their homemade pasta, sauces, and desserts. We always start with the Italian wedding soup and crab cakes, which are both to die for. Their meatballs are divine and I highly recommend them. Their portion sizes are perfect on anything on the menu. Their service is top notch and this resteraunt is perfect for date night or bringing the entire family out. We recommend ending the night with our newest favorite, Tasha's baklava!
Ardi and Tasha have gone the extra mile in their food and always make us feel like family when we come to Claudiana.
Found this place by chance after hearining Carabbas was an hour wait. Simply put it was the BEST Italian food I ever had. Authentic Fresh and Flavorful Italian food. Talked to owner and all of the recipes are family recipes. His children were there and some relatives came to eat. They had been to Italy the week before and had great stories to share. Pleasantly suprised....will be back. Felt like we were family almost. Visit and enjoy this little jewel up north!
Outstanding!. I'm very hard to please when it comes to Italian food. I was brought up on the best! When I visited Claudiana this past weekend I thought I would keep my selection simple...spaghetti and meatballs. I thought if they can get that right, they can do anything. Much to my contentment, the dish was absolutely wonderful. The portion size was perfect as I was there for lunch. The sauce reminded me of what I had back home and the pasta and meatball were perfectly cooked! The staff was so attentive and personable and the owner was so concerned that we enjoyed ourselves that he stopped by to chat a few times. Going back is a no-brainer. This is my new spot for Italian in Columbus!
Claudiana Italian restaurant. The very best Italian food I have ever had! The place is clean and pretty, the staff is warm and inviting. The food is not only yummy, but it is so pretty on the plate! The home made tiramisu was the best I have ever had. A great wine selection too! I was amazed at how many people new each other in there. I give it 2 thumbs up!
Perfect!. The Bedalli family does a fabulous job making you feel just like family! From the warm ciabatta bread with whipped garlic butter to Natasha's homemade baklava - everything was delicious. Lovely wine selection and plenty of variety on the menu. A cozy little spot for date night.
The lamb was cooked perfectly, and it was really nice to order a medium well piece of meat and receive a medium well piece of meat. The lamb was tender and juicy. The accompanying Mediterranean risotto was also a delight. If you’re as much of a fan of lamb as me (sorry Mary and Little Bo Peep), you will want to try these chops. Portion size was adequate.
The starter bread they give you along with garlic butter is amazing. I ordered bruschetta and Linguine with olive oil. The bruschetta was really good the linguine said it would have crushed red pepper but it didn't I had to ask for it. The linguine was nothing special it was alright. But overall it was worth a visit.
Came back again. Food was delicious. Had the gnocchi -- it was too dense -- the sauce was tasty. The fried calamari was excellent -- much better than before. Had the bombs for dessert -- yummy. The atmosphere was better -- the entire restaurant was remodeled. Service was good.
Start to finish .. hands down the best Italian food in Columbus by far. Great wine choices .. the bread is crispy on the outside and decadent soft on the inside .. accompanied by house made herb butter .. the rigatoni and bolognas is amazing .. wedding soup is delicious .. cream lemon cello which is my favorite and the tiramisu is to die for. Bruna is an amazing server . Highly recommend !!
Second time here and it’s quickly becoming my go to for Italian. The Fettuccine Alla Romana is just fantastic, and all of the food is great. Very well cooked Veal Parmesan. What’s really impressive is how all of the servers and the owners are out there working as a team to check on you and bring out the food. They had a party of 19 and still didn’t skip a beat! I tip my hat to the owners 🤠
Good food not great. I ordered the chicken Parm and it had way too much sauce. My wife had the gnocchi and it was really good. The bruschetta was fabulous! There wine prices were really good. Service was a little slow, but I attribute that to the place being fully booked.
Everything here looks incredible, and is made by hand and with love. We had the sausage and peppers for an appetizer which was perfection. My husband had their veal chop and I had their veal piccata and shared a bottle of Brunello. We can’t wait to come back. I would give them more stars if it were an option!
This Italian Restaurant is a hideaway treasure for the folks of Columbus. We had our community dinner there at a recommendation of our neighbors.
They accommodated about 22 people from our group and everyone had a wonderful time.
Food choices based on the smiles across the table were all great. Staff was attentive to the large group of people we had.
Recommend everyone to dress up and call in ahead of time to reserve your table.
One of the best Italian restaurants in town. Too bad not centrally located. Menu is diverse & delicious. More than tomatoes. Good service + very good food = great value. You'll want to come back for more.
Lunch no longer available. Carry out orders taken beginning at 4pm. Dine in starts at 5pm. COVID guidelines in place.
Really good caesar salad and bread, good drinks, both entrees were fresh and faultless. The cannoli wasn't my favorite but the rest of the meal easily made up for it.
Perfect date night spot with delicious food. Don't skip on the specials, you'll find something new. Romantic atmosphere, linens and formal dining table set. The food is high end and worth savoring. Our service was very slow but it seemed our waiter was new and may have made some errors. We waited 20 minutes to even get a beverage order in and 30 minutes for bread, it was over an hour before entrees came. We didn't mind once we started eating. It's everything you'd want in an authentic italian meal, no pretentious commercialized dishes here!
Was coming through Columbus traveling for work. I’ve eaten at some of the competitor Italian restaurants in the area, HANDS DOWN this is some of the best Italian food that I’ve ever had and I travel frequently in my 16 state territory. If you are a local or just traveling through and in the area give this place a try and you won’t be disappointed! Their selection of Handmade and homemade ingredients will leave you wanting to come back for more.
Cute place, good Italian food, the staff were friendly. Our waitress was great, they have a menu with common items and then they have some seasonal dishes as well. No Gluten Free options as far I could tell. The dishes are a tad bit pricey for what I am used to, but I could only eat half my dish before getting full. I enjoyed my experience here and would come again.
If possible even better than the last time I was here. Real hidden gem. Their fontina stuffed chicken over risotto was great.
First off, I called for reservations on short notice and the lady did accommodate us, so I give them huge props for that. My rating is somewhat strange because overall 4 stars with only one category (service) getting 4 stars. We thought the food, although good, was overpriced. My wife hardly got any sauce with her ravioli, but my daughter absolutely loved her linguine olio and my rigatoni were good. Service seemed a little slow but they were also packed, so for the amount of people that were in the restaurant, our service was good. At least the server kept the drinks coming, so that was within his control. I realize that the server had no control over how quickly the food was being prepared. Again, overall good considering they were absolutely packed but they still got us in on short notice and they really did try their best to keep up.
Love this restaurant. I've been coming here for a couple of years. The food is always excellent, the service is great, and it has that classic small Italian restaurant ambience. Do yourself a favor and skip the chain restaurants for this gem. You won't regret it.
Always a great place to have dinner. The food, staff and, atmosphere are wonderful.
