REAL ORANGE JUICE! It was amazing. We ordered orange juice with our meals, no biggie. But when they arrived they looked funny to us. The color was off. Well it was because it was FRESH SQUEEZED! Amazing 🤩! The food was also very good. My wife enjoyed the breakfast burrito, it was quite large. I had one of their specials, it was great. The food arrived quickly and hot.
Been coming since I was a kid and it’s been amazing every time. Best breakfast in the city by far. The service is great and the atmosphere is as well. Jack and Benny’s a Columbus institution, they’ll always be my favorite.
It's a good place to grab a bit of breakfast with a friend. It's about what you would expect out of any breakfast diner. Food came out pretty fast and we were met promptly with a waiter when we were seated.
Big downside of this place is the low amount of seating. Granted they can only do so much with the small amount of space that they have so I can't really fault them for that. Expect to wait at least 15 minutes to get seated when you come here.
The food itself was fine. About what I would expect from a breakfast diner and the prices were fair. I'd come back sometime maybe on a weekday when it's a little less busy. Nice little place with a good atmosphere though.
Fresh squeezed orange juice! Real fruit pancakes baked in! I love going here, great prices and great breakfast. The buster Douglas is perfect with the gravy on the side and coupled with a blueberry and apple pancake cover with butter and honey. The fresh made orange juice is the icing on this wonderful place.
Service is fast and great in this old style dinner setting. I will be coming again and again. Ill get food pictures next time, haha, so good I forgot to. I came back a few days later and got the same thing: James Buster Douglas with extra egg and bacon with a blueberry and apple pancake! Soo good!
Thank you to the owner and manager for this nice place. The redone menu looks clean and nice!
Warning: they only serve breakfast foods mainly with eggs. They do not serve burgers, fries etc.
Knowing that, this place is a fantastic choice if you love breakfast. The atmosphere is beautiful with many historical pictures and posters. And the service is as friendly and welcoming as can be.
Perfect little diner feel. Everything comes out hot & ready to cure your hangover. ;) Staff is very casual & generally VERY busy on the weekend especially - I feel like the locals know: don’t expect to be in & out. So, if you’re in a rush, I recommend asking for your bill/check early. Pay at the front once you have your bill.
Good food for good prices! Server was sweet, but my order wasn't quite right (it was busy and chaotic). Overall, it's your average breakfast choices with differing omelets and breakfast scrambles.
I told my sister to find us a nice little spot for breakfast this morning while on the way to pick her up. She found this little diner on Maps searching "near me". We love trying new places, especially when the food is as wonderful as here! We both had the Capitol Square (I think is what it was called) with eggs, bacon and a 1/2 order of French toast. We also added the hash browns. Everything was delicious. We ate it ALL! lol We noticed a little machine near the front that was making fresh squeezed OJ so we had to try it! It was like eating the perfect juicy orange. We will be back. Thanks for good service and GREAT food!
It is like going back in time. The inside is very clean but has been the same for many years. Our server was wonderful and the food was great.
Great place for breakfast with my family. Crispy hash browns , perfectly cooked eggs, and excellent chocolate chip pancakes. The fresh squeezed OJ is so good.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere 😊 love little dinners like this!
This place is one of my favourite local diners around campus. It’s great, simple, Ma and Pa diner food that’s portioned solidly for what you pay. It can get busy during the weekends, but the wait is always worth it. Plus they have coffee and water for you in the lobby while you wait during these peak hours. Omelettes and daily speciality pancakes are always good choices. The staff is friendly and nice, and they never let my coffee cup run dry!
Continues to be a delicious diner. The breakfast options are mastery of the classics. The French toast is delightful. Second time going, but far fewer people this time around. Maybe because it was summer (college is out) or maybe because the prices aren't quite as low as they used to be? Either way, a staple worth the try.
