Came here for brunch with a lot of girlfriends. The food was absolutely amazing! Big screens to watch the OSU game and a great music selection. This is a great place to bring a crowd. A second location is opening in Miami and I will definitely visit for bbq and s good time while I’m there. Also, the golden camel was promoting their upcoming sports app and was handing out free gear. I met the owner and a lot of people from the promotion team and everyone was super nice. Thanks for s great time!
This place is delicious! The atmosphere is extremely loud and busy. It's a really neat place to dine!
I recently was there to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday and we had an amazing time. The atmosphere was great. The staff went out of their way to celebrate my daughter. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. I live out of town and was hoping I made a good selection. We couldn't have went to a better place. Thank you for making this day special. We will definitely be back.
We had a VERY large group in from out of town. The staff here were great and our crew was pleased with the service and price / quality. While many of us would certainly come back again for dinner or drinks, I believe that our group was just a bit too large to make mingling here the ideal situation. This is not a knock against the location / business / staff ... there were just several hundred of us and it was just a bit overwhelming under the circumstances. But the staff did an outstanding job and went above and beyond to serve our group!
I'm giving mixed reviews on this. First, the Bacon & Dunn (I think) mixer bourbon drink was soo good! Had the piggy Mac & cheese and it was also really good. My issue was our initial waiter was perfect. His replacement from shift change was a joke. Brought us containers for the leftovers but the lids would not fit the bowls. He was also too busy chatting up a lady sitting at the bar to notice we needed assistance. I went to the bar, he still ignored me but the bartender was a superstar! He went back and got us containers with matching lids. I did find out that the tips are split amongst the staff, so bring cash to make sure those who earn it get it. 😉
I loved this place!!! It probably became my favorite burger in Columbus.
We shared “The Republic Burger” and the “Boulder City Burger” and we loved them. Especially the second… with an amazing bacon and a delicious brisket. It could be very heavy, but I loved every bite of it!
Only downside were the fries… a lot of potential, but I guess they were not cooked perfectly and so they were kinda soggy and oily. From the other side, “Fried Pickles” were amazing: we really loved them too!
Servers were all nice and even when busy, they paid a lot of attention to us and where always polite. Their beer recommendation was great too.
I was going back again especially now that I know they have Live music. A great experience
What a fun place with delicious BBQ. And what a great surprise to arrive during Happy Hour where we took advantage of your choice of two meats, 1/2 pound each for $7, half price cocktails, and $3 sides. Definitely recommend the brisket, pork, and Southern potato salad. It was too much for us to eat!
Nice atmosphere with a country-western vibe, serving BBQ. The staff was attentive and kind. A reservation may be appropriate just in case there happens to be Live music on the day you attend, that way you won't be Forced to sit at the bar. The Cobb salad was nice and fresh as the ribs were very tender and well seasoned, didn't even need sauce.
Food was fantastic. Depends when you go, you absolutely want to make a reservation. College atmosphere.
Popped in after football game. Pleasantly surprised! Great service and really great food. Large servings. Fairly priced. Great whiskey selection too! Added eggs and had the leftovers for breakfast!
What an awesome place to eat barbecue 🤤🤤. The manager Nick was awesome sauce. From his vibe to just a person. Prices are perfect. Everything was great.... Update the manager Nick is one cool dude and the bartender are more than welcoming thanks Bristol Republic. 2nd time around same service
I wasn't expecting to be wowed because of how affordable this place was (compared to everywhere else in the short north) but holy cow the biscuits and sausage gravy was the best I've ever had!! I asked for my egg on the side though. The cinnamon rolls were so gooey and delicious and I wish we had ordered two portions instead of one. So yea, definitely recommend the brunch 👌
Went there for their grinch Christmas Eve brunch and had a great time. Their cinnamon rolls were beyond delicious! I had the link and can’t wait to come back and have them again! My one son got the ribs and hasn’t stopped talking about it! Great event and hope to see it again!
BBQ certified - all meats come from Smoked on High (755 S High St, Columbus, OH 43206) and they have their own 7' Offset, smoked by Hickory wood which, " ...of hickory growing in Texas, is probably the dominant wood for smoking, as it is nationwide." (Franklin and Mackay, 2015, p.75). Burns long and clean. So, Tennessee style barbecue in Bristol's case is done real well. The ambiance is very much a country vibe with countryfried music playing. Service was fast and friendly - answered all my barbecue questions and kept my glass full. Definitely a cool spot, I will be coming back with the family and an appetite.
I visited on an OSU football game day and a Friday night in the winter (two separate occasions), and both experiences went well. The interior is rustic and homey with a country style. The food is well priced for the portions, their burgers are some of the best I've had in the city, and with their Mac and Cheese on the side, you cannot go wrong. Aside from their burger, their barbecue is delicious. If you're stopping in for a drink, their selection is impressive, with a wide selection of beer on tap and various liquors. This place is worth checking out if you're in the area and are in the mood for some good food.
Lots of fun, great food, and strong drinks. There was a bit of a wait, so I recommend a reservation (we came during a Saturday Bottomless Mimosa day unknowingly) and service was a little slow, but likely because they were so busy. Loved the decor and vibe.
