A reliable hole-in-the-wall bar for pregame and postgame food and beer. Cans and bottles only, no draft beer, moderate liquor selection as well. Small but reliable food menu. I got the Betty’s burger and was very pleased.
Great place for pre and post game fun; we always go here before and after crew games.
Love this place. Little dive-ish, bring cash for a discount and faster service, one-holer men's room but don't let that stop you.
With no music playing we had a great time at Betty's. Even though the floor smelled like someone got sick all over it!! Thank God they have a patio!!
Great, old school dive bar. Great people working here. The owner very involved, talks to customers. Will return whenever I'm in town
I know most people hit up R Bar before a Jackets game, but for me, Betty's is THE spot to pre game and post game. Hell, even during the game if you don't have tickets! We need more places like this in the world. Found myself here many, many times and have always had an absolute blast!
One of the finest dive bars around! Keep it up!
My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat, we basically fell onto Betty's looking for parking. It turned out wonderfully. We both tried the Betty burger with fries and they were great. Betty's is a sports bar and well loved by those lucky enough to know about it. Tracy and I enjoyed hearing the history of the establishment from the granddaughter of Betty and Betty's daughter cooked up a great meal.. Friendly, homey, and good food. I'm going to take some friends and share the experience with the.. You need to try Betty's. It's really nice.
Great spot for a drink before a Clippers or Crew game.
Great place to grab a drink or a bite to eat before a Clippers game or a Crew match. And they have mini corn dogs. What more do you really need?
Great hole in the wall bar! Fantastic staff and they have a shot reminiscent of an orange creamsicle... absolutely amazing!
This place is a dive. That's really the only way to describe it and it's also my favorite bar in Columbus. The drinks are cold and cheap, the bar tenders are nice, the customers are mostly regulars and friendly, Shorty the owner is a funny, no nonsense lady, and the food is deep fried deliciousness.
The hours are wacky. Only time they're guaranteed to be open is on Thong Thursdays and when the Blue Jackets or Clippers are playing. Otherwise you run the risk it's closed and to be fair Shorty's warned you on the side of the building that might be the case.
In the winter they have the fireplace roaring, there's no windows, and it's a dark and seedy ambiance. Everything a neighborhood bar should be. It also only takes going a couple times a month for a game before the bartenders know you. I now get the "having the regular?" question when I come in.
Downtown to catch a game? Definitely consider coming here for a drink before heading over for the $10 cans at the arena.
Awesome bar!! Great prices and staff!! Best place to go before clippers games!!!
Shorty and her staff are the absolute best!! Always greeting you with a smile! And to top it off, one of the top 3 burgers in all of Central Ohio!! And don't even need to talk about Thong Thursday's!! And she has the best "hours" of any bar I have ever seen.....Open when she gets there and closes when she leaves!! Keep up the great work Shorty!!
Great place to go before a Blue Jackets or Clippers game (and the Crew, when the new stadium is finished. Grad a beer or another type of drink and warm up for the game! Great burgers and sides are much better than spending more money at the concession stands! The owner and her staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Amazingly good burgers! Nice old school type bar with friendly staff and clientele. Great for hanging out before and after local sports events.
Absolutely no frills. great burgers, and the white cheddar cheese curds were incredible. Came here because of what I read in prior reviews, and it fit the description.
A cheeseburger/pbr will run you under 10 bucks. Not bad at all for the area.
You really can't ask for a better bar. Great place to stop in before/after a hockey or baseball game, or whenever they are open. The hours sign says "open when i get here, closed when i leave" and it is true. The hours end up being a little wonky because of this. Alcohol is very reasonably priced. The food is reasonably priced and phenomenal. Mostly bar bites, such as burgers and fries.
Always hunting for a good local family owned bar...this place is it!!
