We are new to the area from CT. In the mall we asked someone for a recommendation for a good place to eat. He told us to go to Razzoo’s if we like spicy Cajun food (and yes I do). I can’t say enough about this fabulous restaurant. Everything we ordered was top notch, fabulous, delicious. Our server Daniel was great- everything he recommended was delicious. We had the Cajun shrimp fondue appetizer and it was the best. My son had the Cajun sampler and loved it, I had the stuffed shrimp, it was supposed to be served over white rice but I substituted it for dirty rice and it was perfect. I can guarantee the next time we’re in the area we will definitely be eating at Razzoo’s
We will be back. Our waitress and management were great. The food and drinks(alcohol) were on point to the last drop. The atmosphere was wonderful. This place reminds me of Heaven on Seven in Chicago, Illinois.
Man the bartender Lilly made me the best drinks..... love you when I come to Charlotte, this place is a must to dine at.

I've been here so many times, I love it every single time. Always have the talent to impress me. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Food was excellent! Highly recommend trying the bread pudding for desert, it was amazing! I will definitely be revisiting again soon.
We've been going there for past few years. Great staff, great atmosphere and great food! Wished they would open one in Salisbury

Our 18th wedding anniversary is on Monday. We did our dinner Saturday night the 24th. My husband know’s what I love and I miss home anyway I got a very good surprise when the hostess told me you had boiled crawfish!( I ate 3 pounds shhhhh) Omg awesome my absolute favorite. Our server was amazing and very attentive even though he was super busy. I have been here a lot cajun food and the fish bowl need I say more. This was my husbands first time, he loved it and said he will go more with me!!! Excellent food and service oh and not skimpy on portions!!!😍😍😍😍😍
Excellent. Gaiter tails a must. Lots of great choices. Fall off the bone ribs. Yummy!!!
The menu rounds up the familiar candidates (gumbo, po boys, fried or blackened seafood, etc.), and adds gator, ribs, and raw oysters for some additional variety. For our first visit, my wife and I went with a jalapeno catfish and a Cajun combo skillet respectively. The food greatly exceeded expectations. The catfish was nicely breaded, and there wasn’t a thing in my combo skillet (shrimp creole, crawfish etoufee, red beans and rice, and andouille sausage) that was a disappointment. The sausage in particular had a welcome spicy kick and a firm bite.

This edition of Excited about Eating takes us to a place guaranteed to find a spicy meal, Razzoo’s Cajun Café in the Concord Mills area of Concord, NC. This restaurant offers a variety of entries but, from what I’ve tasted, they all have one thing in common, some level of heat from mild to atomic hot.
Love this place.Unique and colorful ambience .Exotic items on menu.lot of Sea food varieties and also Crocodile tail also if you are interested.Food is tasty. I like Cajun skillet ,Shrimp Poboy and stuffed tricky fish.I recommend this place .Must go.
Razzoo's is a delightfully unique restaurant. From the colorful decor to the zydeco music, there's a great atmosphere. The food is good but the dessert is absolutely divine. The bread pudding is so good "you'll wanna slap your mama".
Came here with my 8 year old daughter for dinner. Nice atmosphere with country music and lots of pieces of Louisiana flair to look at. Combo skillet was very good and I'd get it again next time. Kids menu is Americanized (hamburger, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, etc).
Razzoo's is a solid option overall. Great stuffed shrimp and stuffed fish among other cajun favorites, but some are better than others. The andouille for example is very good, but I've been unimpressed with the gumbo and the etouffee was very mediocre. Most of the food is good, however, although it doesn't taste like authentic Louisiana cajun food. The service is usually very friendly, wait times are average, and I've never had any significant complaints from eating here.
I loved it! The food was great the drinks were big and the prices were reasonable! I will be going again and I would recommend this place to others.
Amazing food and service!. Was so excited to see a razzoo's here while we were visiting. We went and were surprised at the short wait. We got our table fast and were greeted promptly. Drinks came out fast as did our appetizer. I was recommended the gator tail by the server which was AMAZING! We were greeted by the manager Scott who was extremely friendly and caring. Educated us on some very interesting things about the company that my husband was asking about. Our food came out shortly and was super hot and fresh! We will come back every time we are in the Charlotte area!
My husband and I are from the Deep South, and we grew up with Cajun food. This is the closest to Cajun as you are going to get outside New Orleans!! Hubby had the Cajun Skillet. We had the fried pickles (YUM!), fried okra, I had the chicken and sausage gumbo (the roux was not traditional, but still good), red beans and rice with sausage (GOOD!) and we ate some fried okra. The portions were huge, so we definitely had to get to go boxes!
First visit also. This will be my stop every time I'm in the area. Need one of these in Atl or Chattanooga.
First time visit. Had the shrimp fondue appetizer, jambalaya and peach bread pudding. Couldn't have been happier with the food and the service was great.
For some reason our food got tied up in the kitchen but waitress made up for it and the food we received was top notch. Enjoyed it very much.
Spicy But Good. I tried this place for the first time ever. I'm not a big fan of cajun food but my bf is. But with this place it was really good but a lil spicy. But if you like spicy food then this will be the place for you. We also tried the fishbowl cocktail drink called swamp thing and it didnt taste like no alcohol in it...But boy did it fooled me. I was on the tip driving home. .LOL.
Love the chicken fried steak. One of the best chicken fried steaks ive had and im a huge fan of redoak which they have on tap laid back place and fun place to drink or eat with the family can't go wrong like it alot more then other cajun chains great food
I went there tonight with my family we had excellent service both managers came over and spoke with us. My niece has glutton allergies and the one said she was working back of house and would personally make sure it was handled right, and the other manager was very helpful explaining how they made certain food glutton free. Though mine and my nieces food took longer to make it to the table [glutton free food] it was wonderful she and I enjoyed glutton free chicken nuggets and popcorn shrimp both a first for her. And for a family of 6 our bill was only 35.00 and I tiped our waitress 7.70. I would definitely tell anyone with glutton allergies to go there and we will be back.

Always fabulous! The full rack of ribs is the best anywhere and are definately reccomended as the best meal there! Should be tried in your lifetime! If you dont, you *are* missing out! Yum!
Been going for years, and it never gets old. AWESOME place.. I'll start by saying that I have tried Fried Pickles at tons of restaurants in Charlotte (yes, even the Penguin) - the Fried Pickles at Razzoo's are THE best in town. And if you're a wing person and like them spicy (and don't mind southern style wings with breading), then their wings are second to none as well.
I've been going here for 5+ years ever since I moved to Charlotte. My friends and I always double dip on the appetizers and get a couple of baskets of fried pickles and chicken wings. Then we all get our usuals, whether it be the Chicken Fried Chicken/Cajun Fried Chicken, the Tchopatulas (sp?), or the Jambolaya (again, sp?) pasta. Hard dishes to spell, even harder to stop eating.
While there are better "authentic" cajun restaurants in Charlotte, you can't beat the overall experience at Razzoo's. Money-wise, atmosphere wise, it's my favorite restaurant in this whole town, has been for years, and probably won't be knocked from the top of my list any time soon.
Great food. Even better service. For a person that loves Cajun food, it is difficult to choose just one entree. You will be back for more. The Gator Punch is a must. Bring several friends and try the Jaws platter.
The manager has worked hard at putting together gluten free options! He has done a great job, has even started fresh oil for fried pickles, green beans and shrimp. I'm thrilled!
Where else can you get gator?. Cajun for the unwashed masses. Fun place, consistently good food. Stutff'd Shrimp, Cajun Etouffee and Shrimp Brouchette are all my favs and worthy of serious cravings. There is a lot more interesting stuff on the menu I haven't tried yet. Atmosphere is a little like a cross between Chili's and a sports bar. Appears to be party friendly as I've seen plenty of large groups get their creole on.
First time eating here was Sunday and it did Not disappoint. Great food, well prepared and cooked. Server was great with a pleasant attitude. Bathrooms were clean. There was a good wait of 45 minutes though. But the food was worth it.
Did not realize that Razzoo’s was a chain in Texas. And this one is the only location in North Carolina on the perimeter of concord mall. The place was decently packed on a weekday. Food had a it of southern touch with many entrees served over rice.. interesting there was an item with alligator meat( my first experience ). Does not have any distinct meat taste or texture, maybe because it had some cajun spices on it. Overall a nice experience, and worth a visit
Had an amazing experience here. The food was great I can't complain the speed of the service was fast as well. Our server did forget our drink from the bar which was kind of a let down but when we finally did get it it was amazing. Definitely will return when we are in the area again.
One of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte. The Jalapeño catfish dish is my favorite. The gumbo and rat toes are amazing. Big portions of food, deliciously spicy with tons of flavor. Great service. Cool decor.
Awesome ambiance and great service. The place is welcoming and the staff is helpful. However, there can be a wait of 20-30 minutes on weekends. Portion is sufficient and food is good. Etouffee and gator both were delicious. There are no free refills on drinks unlike other restaurants. A great place to try cajun food!
Great food, drinks, and customer service! The fried catfish with the creamy sauce on top was so good. I can’t wait to go back so I can order it. I got the jambalaya pasta which was also very good. Since I don’t really like tomato sauce, the host suggested I get the pasta in their creamy butter sauce and it was sooo good! The fondue appetizer with crawfish is also very satisfying. Pictures attached. You will not be disappointed.
I loved this place, great food, good prices and portion size, the staff was nice as well, we went on a Saturday night and had about an hour wait so I suggest you go early or late because around 7ish your going to wait a few hours. Definitely will go back when I return to Concord.
