Good was great but no dining room experience as they aren't yet ready to go back to full service. We took our did and had a great dining experience in the outdoors so everything worked out in the end. I would definitely go back.
Never had a bad meal here! Samosas are excellent, chicken vindaloo is so spicy but so tastey you cant stop eating it! Naan is fresh and perfect! Mango Lassi is best I have had anywhere! Owner waited on us. All smiles and checked on us frequently. This was a sunday at 1pm, most recently.
Quick and easy. Sevice was good.
I had the Chicken Chilli Kadai (spelling) - it was very good. Spicy, and a little sweet; not dissimilar from a Chinese Sweet and Sour dish.
*Edit* Came back again, a year or two later.
Food is okay, service is decent.
The vegetable pakora tasted good, if not a little cold/stale.
Chicken tikka masala was okay. Not a whole lot of chicken in there.
Vegetable kofta in curry was also just okay. Flavor not amazing, and only 3 kofta balls.
Naan bread was a little too thin and crispy - we prefer a more bready version.
Still, we enjoyed our short stay and will probably be back.
I love Indian food and I was told that it's sub par at best and they couldn't be more wrong. Everything we got was absolutely
Delicious. The chicken vindaloo was spectacular, and the chicken saag was the best I've had since India. Five stars for sure
We order takeout frequently from House of India. I typically call in our order and it’s always ready when we arrive. We drive from Belmont to pick up our food here, and it is well worth the drive. Everything is always very fresh and flavored nicely. You can get things spicy if you’d like, but mild is truly mild enough for sensitive tastebuds. The folks in here are always very friendly when we pick up our food as well.
Really enjoyed the chicken and veg curries. The desserts are creative and delicious, especially Mango Melba. The aloo naan was stuffed to a level that few restaurants achieve.
Authentic Indian cuisine at a fair price. Owner and his family are most gracious. The chicken Tikka Masala was delicious and the lamb saag out of this world - the lamb was very lean! We also ordered Naan bread which was wonderfully thin and light. Don’t forget to mention your “heat” preference when placing your order!
Place has usually been empty so not much atmosphere. Never been disappointed with the food though.
