A five star experience! Charming ambience in an 1800s farmhouse with a french home style theme. Amanda and Nathan made excellent recommendations and are extremely attentive as well as friendly. We had the large cheese board as an app; pork and lamb stew for main entrees ( best pork I ever had! very juicy and the sauce was divine); orange cake and sorbet with macaroons for dessert as we were celebrating my birthday! It was a wonderful evening and we look forward to returning in the years to come.
I recently had my bridal shower at Spring Mill and it was perfect! Ezra was so helpful and responsive through the entire planning process. He made it a breeze and happily answered ALL of my questions. I even emailed Ezra the week of to add on a plate for a guest who was coming towards the end of the shower. The meal was ready to go when they got there. The venue itself is so quaint and cozy. I specifically chose Spring Mill because I didn’t want a cookie cutter venue with average food. The food on the menu was out of this world and everyone raved about how delicious it was! The staff that worked the shower was attentive and never left us with an empty drink! I highly recommend Spring Mill Cafe for any event or night out! You will not be disappointed! I will add photos as well.
Did pick up. Food was excellent. Salmon was cooked perfectly. We had ordered 3 days before Valentines day. We forgot what all we had ordered. As a result I didn't always know what we were eating, but all were tasty and done well.
Delicious food. Wonderful ambience.
The one flaw? Kim, the hostess.
She was immediately rude, unwelcoming, and passive aggressive. We noticed little things, i.e she did not offer to take our coat although she offered that service to other patrons. When we asked if there was a place for us to place our coats, she acted as though by taking them, she was doing us a favor. She was cold and short. Maybe there were something about us that she didn't like; if so, she went out of her way to show it. Thank God for Lauren, our server, and the gentleman who brought our food. They were breaths of fresh air and without Lauren, we would have left immediately.
Kim stood behind us banging serverware and glass water bottles, muttering, and being generally unpleasant. Again, she went out of her way to wish other patrons a Happy Valentine's Day. When it was our turn to leave, she turned away and wouldn't open her mouth. Again, Lauren to the rescue. She kindly wished us a Good Evening.
Not sure if Kim was jealous, cranky, or unhappy. We might have reminded her of an unpleasant memory. Regardless, she was extremely unprofessional and rude. We also overheard her being very abrupt to a couple whose reservations and couldn't find in the system. She ended up seating them but could've handled them with a bit more grace. Luckily, we had an otherwise pleasant experience. We will probably go again on an evening when that hostess isn't there. If she's there all the time, well, there are other options.
Our party of 8 was seated in a private room, and service was attentive. The host suggested shared appetizers (a plate of assorted pates and a big cheese plate), and all of the several entrees we had were delicious.
Outstanding traditional French choices perfectly prepared. It was difficult to make our dinner choices because everything looked wonderful. Fortunately our server helped us make our selections. The staff is professional and kind and the atmosphere is quite pleasant. We enjoyed great service and had some of the tastiest food we’ve had in a long time. We can’t wait to return.
Spring Mill Cafe transports you to France with its charming buildings and delicious foods. Every time we go here it’s another incredible experience and the food is some of the best French foods you can eat in this area.
