By far the best Mexican place in Horry County! Food is always fresh, staff is very welcoming. The chips are the best! Can't get enough of this place.

Absolutely fantastic experience! We were greeted with a smile upon arrival and promptly served our drinks along with fresh chips and 3 different styles of salsa varying in spice and flavor(yes 3!). One of my friend's noticed that Speedy's had "Tortas" on their menu and immediately suggested that my other cohort and I try one. At first I was skeptical since it was my friend's first time dining at Speedy's, but his sincere enthusiasm about the Tortas easily convinced us to order them. Tortas are a sandwich served with a variety of meats, veggies, and served on a unique bread(I need to google what it actually was). I ordered a "Cuban Torta" which came with some extra stuff including an egg. The size of Speedy's Tortas was quite impressive, which was awesome because I was famished after a long day of activities in the sun. The veggies were fresh and the meats were cooked with finesse. The food arrived quickly and upon arrival I noticed Jalapeños. I am not particularly fond of jalapeños and was going to remove them but my friend was adamant that I leave them in order to experience the sandwich in its natural essence. Before ordering my friend predicted that if we ordered Tortas, we would be back for more and he was spot on! The flavors complemented each other beautifully and I loved every bite. I couldn't eat it fast enough! I will be definitely back for another "Torta" next week and I'm going to be promoting "Torta Tuesday" amongst my friends! I strongly recommend Speedy Gamboa's to anyone that enjoys authentic Mexican cuisine and I promise that you won't leave hungry. If you're on vacation and looking for an awesome experience, Speedy Gamboa's is where it's at. The Speedys experience is only a hop, skip, and a jump away from the beach and is a no brainer!
My daughter and I had dinner here tonight. It was absolutely fantastic!! The food was delicious and service was perfect. We were recommended the best way to order our choices for optimal flavor and it did not disappoint!! I will be back here again and often!
This is absolutely the BEST Mexican restaurant ever! The food is beyond authentic and have the best flavor that leave you wanting more! I live over 2 hours away and whenever I am in the area, I must eat here ! The staff is very friendly , accommodating, and experienced in all areas! Awesome and many blessings in the years to come!
My daughter and I search for a new Mexican restaurant to try in every town we visit. This is by far the BEST we’ve found!! Everything we ordered was absolutely DELICIOUS!! Beautiful atmosphere with a very kind staff! Be sure not to skip on the green salsa; it’s amazing on everything!! Also the best homemade chips we’ve ever tasted! Thank you for your hospitality!
Amazing family owned restaurant. They serve delicious tacos, empanadas and many other Mexican base meals. Nelly is my favorite waitress, she treats you like family. The food is fresh, tasty and the price is decent. I definitely recommend!

Seriously THE BEST Mexican restaurant in this area. The food are very authentic, all their food are homemade and their tacos are really delicious. The owner is amazing, very friendly. They also have my favorite shrimps cocktail (Must try this dish if you love shrimp). We will be back to try more food for sure. 100% recommend this restaurant.
My folks live close by to this location, and my boyfriend loved this place when we were going to CCU. So when we were visiting my parents, we got takeout for the whole family. I got the chicken quesadilla, because I’m not particularly huge on Mexican food, and it was really good. It paired really nicely with the sour cream that it came with. We ordered inside, and was told it would be 20 minutes. We walked over to the Circle K next door and got some drinks, and that took probably like 5 minutes overall. When we came back, we only had to wait another 5 or so minutes for our food. Mind you, we got 4 meals and 2 sides to feed 5 people. So that was really quick! Everyone liked their food. The portions are very generous for the price!
The food is sooooooooooo good. Try the wings, the best I have had a very, very long time. Mama & Papa cooking in the kitchen, daughters waiting on the tables.

Speedy Gamboa Family 3rd Anniversary Customer Appreciation Christmas Party.
An Americanized Mexican restaurant! Clean. Friendly staff. Broad menu with all the Mexican favorites. I ordered a torta. It was huge and very, very good. I struggled whether I should cut it in half and take half home. I couldn’t do it because it was so good! My wife had a chimichanga which she said was good and my granddaughter had a quesadilla from the kids menu which she liked.
I had iced tea with my torta which was the darkest ice tea I ever had. It was great!
I hope to go back soon.

Fresh made from scratch food. I ordered 3 different enchiladas. Nelly brought out freshly made chips and 3 different salsas. The red salsa was bland, the green tomatilla salsa was wonderful and the avacado and habanero salsa was good but way too hot for me. Portions were huge. The cheese enchilada with with red sauce, onion, fresca cheese and avacado slices was really good. I ate the green tomatillo cheese enchilada next. I was really good too. I had to box up the third with homemade mole and fresca cheese because I thought it would reheat the best. Nelly said they use mozarella because it melts well and there wad plenty in each of the 3. They all tasted really good. You can taste how fresh all the ingredints are with the tortillas being made from scratch as well. I had teir guacamole as well. It was like getting the tableside made version with plenty of onion tomatoes and cilantro. If there was jalapeno in it they must have left out the seeds because it was not hot just flavorful.
Absolutely phenomenal. It’s rare to find authentic Mexican and this is the place to go for that authentic taste. Got the memela, which I have never seen before on a Mexican menu and I was not sorry. Will be going back and trying the rest of the menu!
