This place is one of my all time favorites. I come here for my birthday about every year. As gastropubs go this one has all the cozy atmosphere you could ask for, feeling like an English country house you might wind down at after a day of fox hunting. They have an incredible burger and a very respectable bourbon selection. Great staff, excellent waiters and the French fries are top notch. And it's very reasonably priced. It's a perfect place for a date or special occasion.

Swanky eatery with a quaint bar area, the Side Door has it's own entrance but exists attached to the restaurant Five Crowns and they share pretty much the same menu. The bar is close quarters, so be prepared for louder voices and meeting other locals in the expensive bar. Signature cocktail is Smoked Old Fashion, but the "Brad" concoctions (bartenders name) are always spot on.

Everything about this place is incredible. Super fun super eclectic. The staff is great the drinks are amazing this service is laid back. I must do!! Sit at the Bar with Julie or Michelle. They make great cocktails and the are super fun and easy on the eyes... also they have a great beer selection. If you've seen it in a commercial they don't have it. In addition to the cocktails the food is incredible. Sidedoor is part of the Lawry family, so you know the food is up to high standards. The great thing about side door is they have great pub food with a prime rib standard. Don't miss this place if you're in town. Ask to sit in Ali's section if she is working, she is the tyoe of incredible server that adds to a good time.. she is amazing and really knows her wines and spirits... If you live here you already know about it

Came here for a friend's private birthday party. What a great place. Feels like an authentic pub mixed with a fine dining establishment. Prime rib was delicious. The service is outstanding.

Gourmet British pub food. Everything from fish and chips to Prime Rib. The mac n cheese is excellent with nice rich Stilton cheese melted on top. The Yorkshire creamed spinach is good, it's kind of like a bread bowl full of creamed spinach. The fish and chips is average, the fries are better than the fish. The small only comes with one little piece of fish, while the large comes with two pieces. The chicken pot pie is good but doesn't contain any potatoes, it also needs salt and pepper.

The burger and prime rib sandwich were amazing. So we're the fries, app pretzel, and drinks. Our waiter was a lot of fun and we will definitely be back.

Great CDM institution! It's amazing it's no packed every night. Very solid food, prime rib sandwich is GREAT. Fantastic pub feel. The only downside is parking but they have valet right next to it.

Great autosphere reminiscent of an elegant British pub. Great prime rib. Not much else of note on the menu and the cocktails were quite expensive. Overall a good choice if you're tired of seafood/good ethnic cuisine and are looking for a great slice of beef.

Our favorite tavern on the Newport Coast. Beer flights, extensive beer and wine choices, avocado mash, and great food samplers. Lawry's menu items always excellent. Love the fireplace settings.

Cool taverny restaurany in Newport, right by Five Crowns. The atmosphere is homey & feels colonial, or even Medeival. Any minute you feel like pirates could be busting through the doors or hear everyone break into singing bar songs. The Lobster bisque was delicious, & the prime rib fries were huge and very filling! The staff are super friendly and helpful. They present a very laid back atmosphere.

Prime rib sandwich was excellent but trimming needs work as for a sandwich to don't want unexpected globs and knots

Walked in kinda later in the night, got a seat right by the fireplace. Jack our server was awesome! Made great suggestions and great conversation. Mike created us this work of art charcuterie board. This place has the type of service and food we look for in our vacations. Creates lasting friendships for years to come.

Hard to go wrong here with food. The prime rib chili cheese fries were amazing as was the artichoke hearts and lemon steam cake. Fish and chips were good but not great. I would stick to basically anything else on the menu and you will be happy.

If you were longing for that British beefeater experience, downtown London close to the Tower of London, this is it. From the period piece costumes, to the wonderful age to beef. This is the real deal.

10/10 always love this place! Everything's incredible. Got the octopus (shareable), the chefs selection charcuterie board, and a prime rib sandwich. THE SANDWICH WAS SO FREAKING AMAZING! Everything else was also really delicious. The drink selections were also great. It was about $120 for two people, we shared all the food and both ordered two drinks each. Also the environment is always chill, and right by the beach! So it's nice for a date night where it's not so formal.
