First time visiting here.. food was very tasty and hot. The tortillas tasted fresh and home made. Starting out with the traditional chips and salsa was nice. The salsa was a perfect spiciness for me. I had the Carne guisada plate. The gravy was darker than most places but was also very tasty. Buen provecho.
Not sure why it is described as a No Frills Restaurant. This is not what I consider no frills in Mexican restaurants. Those are where I usually eat. This is a full sit down with solid wood table, booths, chairs. It has cool style, full dining and small bar area.
Not what you think of when you read No Frills.
The food was BOMB.
The Hot sauces were BOMB.
The prices were BOMB.
Easy 5 star for good Mexican in Corpus Christi
Make sure you try the red sauce, made in house and a unique taste.
Taquitos Mexicanos is my go to, I go there multiple times a week and that dish is consistent, tasty and good portion size.
I have always been coming to this place. It is an easy default texmex option. The food is solid and served in a timely manner always.
We got here about 30 minutes before closing, and you generally expect things not to be tip top when you do this. But now at Jalisco's. We got the Molcajete to split between my wife and I. I expected a wait to get it but it came out fast. It was hot and delicious 😍. Once again, Jalisco's delivers great food and great services and amazing prices. Keep it up Jalisco's. I'll be back

Just went there for a quick lunch . It was NOT quick, waited over 25 minutes, and it was not very crowded. I ordered a "hot" plate with chicken and beef fajitas and chorizo, with grilled onions and queso. It was NOT hot at all , there was barely any queso, maybe a teaspoon full in the top left corner. My beans and rice that came with it were ICE cold!! Normally, I would have sent it all back , but we had already waited so long , so I decided to take it to go , I did go up to cashier ,I ask if he was the manager , he said yes, I told him about the food , he said he would send waitress over, she came with my to go box , frankly she should have been observant enough to notice nothing was sizzling or hot!! When we went up to pay , the manager had taken 2.47 off the bill and then said the place was too small, so no hot plates smoked/ sizzeled??? Really? We have been going here for years , so I will give them another chance , but really , what is going on with poor quality and poor management in the mexican restaurants in Flour Bluff?
Came here for breakfast with my friends and it was really good! I had the barbacoa plate, shredded potatoes, and shared a pancake with a friend. All the sauses were tasty, and almost everything tasted great, except for the hashbrowns (shredded potatoes). They were cold when I got them and were mushy & not crispy at all, needed salt. The tortillas were yummy too! The homemade corn tortillas are thick and delicious. I would come again, but skip the shredded potatoes. Service was very nice and we didn't have to wait long to get a table. Very affordable!!!
We chose this place because it was not a big fancy looking place and had good reviews.
The waitress was attentive and patient. She kept an eye on us we didnt have to ask for anything. The food was fantastic! And price was, in my opinion low for the quality of service and food- which is Awesome!
Their Margaritas are probably the best i have had anywhere.. I highly recommend this place. Come hungry their portions are huge :)
I’ve been here several times. Usually with a group of 5 or more. Everyone’s food is ready when they serve. Very attentive staff. Warm greeting when we arrive. Lupita is a world class server. One of my favorite restaurants in the Bluff.
Just wish when I order my nopales they gave me a decent amount. It was like I small sliver and called it a day. I was expecting it to be piled on like they do the actual meals. Other than that the oj and breakfast we had was on point.
I go here at least 3 times in a month plus been going here for years and I've never had any issues the food is always great and the restaurant is usually clean, I recommend it for the whole family!
I got fajitas and they were the best I've had in a good long while!
My kids got pancakes and they were excellent as well!

Food was good, restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. I've been to many Mexican restaurants and sometimes the food is bland, but good. Taqueria Jalisco does not have bland food. Very recommended. I also like the two types of chips in the chip basket.
We had some good Mexican food here in what seemed to be a former Denny's diner. The staff was really friendly and the prices were good. We will come back here.
