Castaways Restaurant - Corpus Christi - Photo album

Absolutely delicious!! Everything is FRESH and perfectly well plated. Flavors are on point, and drinks were delicious. The restaurant is clean and has lots of seating. It's a little pricey, paid $158 for a party of 2. Had no problem with price because food was so delicious. You have to try at least
Really enjoyed the meal this evening. We stop at Castaway's about once per year when visiting Port A. The blackened Mahi was especially good. The presentation of the meal set the mood. The wait staff was great and happy hour was, ... a happy hour.
Food was excellent but I have to commend the wonderful bartender by the name of Eric who saved my life. I was choking on a piece of shrimp. He came to my rescue when another patron called out for help Eric performed the Heimlich maneuver on me and it came out. I'm forever grateful to him. Thank yo
Go…. You have to get the tuna Chalupa things. They are so delicious. The drinks were awesome. We had a bloody Mary and a big piña colada. The burgers were excellent as well. This is not on the water, but the ambience is still giving.
I caught a 36 inch bull red, took it to Castaways the next day. They cooked it to perfection. They fried some of it, grilled some, and blackened some. All was delicious and cooked right. Service was great too. This is a great place to take your catch.
Great place to eat. Our waiter, Erick was awesome. The Pina Coladas were very tasty and served in a real pineapple shell. The fish was the best on the island. I could eat there every day!
Absolutely love this place! Food is amazing and staff friendly and efficient. Mikayla was funny and super nice. She recommended the ceveiche apps and we were blown away!! Pictured. Can't wait to come back...this is a must stop in for all future trips to Port A!!
They have the most amazing drinks and food on the island. My favorite place.
Always love eating here but would appreciate if the menu 1) still included popcorn shrimp and 2) would explain if food was served stacked like the Ribeye, got picky kids who don't like food touching like that.
Most of the food on the port a platter was bland and the lobster tail was over cooked. Dissapointed...spent a lot of money. The tuna tostadas had flavor. The green spicy sauce was good, but be careful.
Wanted to try something different so I ordered the chicken fried steak dinner with a house salad and garlic mashed potatoes. Very good. I ordered the salad with house made ranch dressing. Delicious. Plan on returning for another meal.
The food is definitely a 10/10. The service was great as well.
Came here with my two adult children, was told an hour and half wait for a table. That was kinda expected; we came in mid July at dinner time. Sat outside in the bar area and went to order drinks. Lexi (I believe that was her name) is precious. The bar was busy and she demonstrated calmness, friendl
Nice place. People were friendly. We ordered the fish platter, wedge salad and a burger with onion rings. Food was very tasty, but the onion rings were cold when they came out. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars and it was a longer wait than expected with very few people in the outside eating area
Great place, the service was awesome, the gumbo was good but my favorite plate was the ceviche. Didn’t enjoy the calamari but was my husband favorite plate. We enjoyed the outdoor seating as well.
