Food is authentic Mexican food. Flour Tortillas are so good and the lemonade is homemade! Delicious! Breakfast all day is the best and they serve you enough. Tacos are big.
Service was great. Food was nice & hot. Flour tortillas were a little over cooked for my liking. Other than that no complaints.

Came to this place because of the reviews I deff recommend the tacos with carne asada they were delicious, the flavor was great. The quesadilla was mediocre and I think it’s cause I got chicken, I should of got beef I’m pretty sure it would of been way better. The green and red sauce are ok I expected more tho.

Sunday morning Menudo run.
Food Only - Covid Drive Thru
This menudo (see pictures) is the closest to homemade we have had since moving to Corpus Christ. The caldo had great flavor (not to spicy), and the hominy and meat were very tender and very clean. The onions, cilantro and limes were all in seperate packages, and the tortillas were all packaged together and very warm (don't think they were homemade).
Also ordered two sausage and egg breakfast tacos for my nephew. (See picture) He said they were very good and full. Tortillas were delicious.
The drive-thru appears long but really moves fast. The staff were all wearing masks and very friendly. Really put us at ease with the Covid situation. Shows this resturant cares about its staff and customers.
The Chicharron plate was delicious as well as the menudo. Large portions of food for a small price…Enjoyed it so much I returned the very next day.
What a great find to stumble upon during my recent visit to the city. Google reviews certainly persuaded me to try out this popular taqueria. My dining companion and I enjoyed two dinner combos that more than satisfied our appetites. Enchiladas, tacos, tostadas, and fresh flour tortillas --- YUM. There are numerous choices for meats/fillings: pork, pastor, chicken, beef, etc. Be sure to ask for hot sauce! Dinner plus two margaritas came to only $23. Wow!! We will be back. Alteños has been there for year's. The food flavor has never changed it's very GOOD. Great service very friendly people, the place looks simple but I definitely recommend it. Good for any time of the day breakfast,lunch or dinner.
