OMG. Get thee to Taco Mesa and thank me later. This place is The Bomb for local, fresh Mexican food in the Costa Mesa and Newport Beach area. This is where the locals go if they want it fresh and fast and tasty good. Moderate prices, plenty of free parking, and specials every day. Love it!

Loved the chips and variety of salsas + the patio on a beautiful day. I came on Taco Tuesday and tried the $2.50 Shredded Chicken and El Pastor Tacos. Both were were good; not great. They filled them with ample protein and the ingredients were fresh. I'd skip El Pastor in the future as it was fatty. But, I'd come back to try other things for sure!

One of my favorite places to eat when I’m in the area. Great selection Mexican food with a fresh , healthy and interesting twist. Good quality, fast and friendly service, has vegetarian options and kids menu. Parking might be tricky when they are busy, outside seating only

Amazing! The tacos were delicious and the atmosphere was great. Really cool spot to come eat fresh tacos and hang out with friends for a while. The staff was helpful explaining all the options on the menu and the food came out very quickly. I’m definitely coming back if I’m ever in Costa Mesa again!

Taco Tuesday is crazy! Really great food once you get through the parking pile-up. Friendly and efficient counter service with reasonable wait time considering the volume of food they put out. Good portions and a cup your own condiment bar. Great for take-out and wonderful bustling vibe if you dine in and grab one of their cold beers or margaritas. Super satisfied! A must stop anytime I'm in town.

This place was good. Not the best tacos I’ve ever had but they did have a taco that surprised me. It’s called the Alhambra taco and it was different, in a good way and totally tasty.

I've been going to Taco Mesa for at least 15 years and have never been disappointed. The food always looks and tastes fresh and clean. The vibe is casual and chill. It's become a favorite for friends visiting from out of town. It's a little pricier than many Mexican restaurants, but it's also a lot better than most.

A superb not so pricey find in otherwise So Cal..Vegetarian and GF items on the menu were identified. Not sure if the beans are V and always wonder if broth was used in boiling rice. Casual. Funky decor. Outdoor seating.

Quick service, big portions. The salsa bar is really great and the horchata is DELICIOUS. Highly recommend. We had several issues with our order -- the tostada came as nachos and a taco came out as a burrito Lovely outdoor space for eating

Costa Mesa taquaria in Los Angeles. I heard that it is a popular shop among locals. The tortillas were characteristic green and very bright. The lobster tacos were very delicious. The carnitas tacos were also the best. If you want to eat in the store, you need a vaccination certificate.

Another one of orange county's little gems. Some of the best Mexican food spots around serving all the favorites and some new styles. The tacos alone are worth going there for. They also have a nice selection of horchata. The pink building is hard to miss lol. It can get busy and seating might become sparse during rush hour meal time but I'd still brave it all for a bite of their food.
