We’ve been enjoying Avila‘s in Costa Mesa over the past three years. The food is very good, the service is always excellent, and it’s just kind of low-key and comfortable. They also have vegetarian options, which is always a nice surprise. Outside patio, indoor dining, and bar.
The service is super nice and friendly, feel warm once you step into the restaurant. Food there are excellent! I think they have the best guacamole in the world. Fresh handmade tortilla is good with everything. Love the Botana de carnitas, the pork is super juice and tender. I will definitely go back again. It's a must go place in town.
I've been multiple Avila's location. This is become a must stop when I visit from Washington.
I love how the staff does an amazing job embracing you and making you feel like your family or friends. Even if it's your first time visiting one of their locations.
This is real authentic Mexican food. Their food is always extremely consistent.
I got fajitas, and they were good but I got to highlight theirs beans and guacamole
I don't usually notice a big difference with guacamole but this place is doing something special with it.
Their beans don't look impressive but they taste buttery.. again witchcraft
Salvador and Raul were my servers that day and they are fun and welcoming
I'll definitely be taking company here
A bunch of my friends and I (about 12 of us) recently had a "friends reunion" at the El Ranchito on Placentia in Costa Mesa. The place was hopping busy and our waiter not only got us our drinks and dinner in a timely manner, he gave us each individual checks to make it easier on us! We had ordered a cake for one friend and the kitchen kindly kept it cool in their kitchen until after our meal, then came out as a group and sang to her! We had the best time, with delicious food, friendship and fantastic service. Thank you, El Ranchito!
Avila's is extremely busy on a Friday night, but we only had to wait about 5 to 8 minutes for seating for party of three. Our food was delicious. I had Chicken Mole Enchiladas, which I enjoyed tremendously. My brother had the carnitas and he said was tender and flavorful. His wife ordered a burrito but perhaps due to some confusion she ended up with the appetizer sampler, which she said was great nonetheless.
Great dining experience. They have extensive menu and their food reasonably priced. Service is usually excellent. It's one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in OC.
You know where to get the best drinks ?? Avilas restaurant and ask for the bartender Geno the cappuccino I recommend his fresh fruit cocktails and charming personality . We will be back for lunch again.
My family and I were visiting from out of town and my Grandma bought us dinner as a treat. Our server Rocky was phenomenal and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He brought out rice and beans for our toddler immediately and even gave us a dessert on the house since it was our first time dining there.
The food was of the same quality as the service, excellent. Best fajitas I have ever had, the mole was great and the guac was fantastic.
We definitely will dine there every time we are in town thanks to Rocky's friendly service and the amazing meals!
Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food is delicious and at good prices. Ample parking. Our group was a party of 12, and the waitress was attentive and friendly. Would definitely eat there again.
