Ordered Jacob’s wonderbar and Liked it. Tested good! The interior design is good. They have outdoor seating as well. However, the seats and tables were not very clean. They can do a better job on this. The receptionist getting the orders (Asian origin lady) could be more professional. Overall, it is a good coffee shop to visit.

A great twist on your cup of joe disguised in a crafted pour-over. This crowded little location has a great vibe and a staff that is friendly and attentive. Sweetened just right by the baristas if you require, the service is as refreshing as a touch of mint in your pick-me-up. They have an excellent selection for different moods and tastes. From Mild to Dark brews, the baristas can create a well-crafted coffee delight. Philz is a heightened level for the coffee experience other than an espresso pull from everywhere else.

Just opened. Delicious coffee and yummy pastries. But I waited 45 minutes in line!! Crazy concept for "one cup at a time" ...friendly baristas and service. The lines in San Francisco shops move much faster.

I haven’t had coffee this good in a long time. This coffee shop is a must try. Chocolate croissant was delicious. I’m definitely coming back to this place!

Omg, such great employees. The location was so hectic, yet they were all so positive, fast, and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. The water tank for dine-in people was refilled so quickly I didn't even notice lol. Plenty of seats, outlets, and pastries, puppies, fashionable OC locals. Down the street from South Coast Plaza. Perfect.

Have reusable plates for food, though none for coffee / tea orders (unless you buy one from them). However, bring your own container and they gladly fill it, giving you a discount to boot. Labneh toast was nicely toasted and pleasantly presented. Enjoyed the creaminess of the spread and the zatar. Appreciate the customization options for creaminess and sweetness for each drink on the menu. Don't arrive with the expectation that Philz's "Tantalizing Turkish" coffee offering is authentic or you will likely leave disappointed. It was nice and hot, and came with a bit of fresh mint on top. (If one opts for the highly sweetened option and zero creaminess, this drink might approach a 'real' Turkish coffee more closely, if desired.) Staff seem caring. The barista who made my drink patiently explained Philz's process, and the staff taking my food order made sure to spell my name correctly unprompted. Music volume is assertive, so not necessarily a super mellow hangout acoustically speaking. At mid-day, this Philz has a medium to high volume of customers, a bustling atmosphere with lots of people studying, doing laptop work, etc.

Extremely busy, but worth it. Try the Tesora with cream and sugar and head out to the museums a couple of blocks away.

They have unique coffee flavors. My favorite is mint mojito. Its a cold coffee with actual mint leaves at the bottom of the coffee. It tastes so refreshing. Ordering is a little confusing. First you order your drinks with the barista, then you either sit and wait for your coffee or go pay and come back to get your coffee when ready. The baristas are very kind to ask you to taste your drink to make sure it's to your liking.

I'm a big fan of Philz coffee for sure. We always get the mint iced mojito coffee is absolutely a must even on cold mornings which aren't really cold because your in socal, but it's just a great start to any day really gives you that boost to get started on your day especially if you're presenting at work as was my case. Yes, Philz is a performance enhancement drink is what Im saying. Anyway, you gotta try this place you will not regret it.

Excellent coffee. I recommend Jacob's Wonderbar with extra beans, medium cream, sweet. That means a dark roast (that is not too smokey) that is strong and has cream and extra sugar mixed in for you. Delicious! But if you don't like it too sweet just ask them to make your coffee Phil's Way. That means medium cream and medium sugar. They also have a nice variety of bakery items including muffins, scones, baklava, and even breakfast sandwiches.

Philz coffee is always great. When ever I'm in the area, I will always stop by as I prefer it to Starbucks, coffee bean etc.

I absolutely love Philz coffee. Though the wait time can be up to 20 minutes, its worth it for me. I love the mocha tesora and all of their muffins. Amazing service and friendly staff (Ryan). Clean and covid compliant. Medium size patio, plenty of seating combined (indoor/outdoors).
