Ate dinner here 7/15/15. The Italian salad was fantastic. They serve COLD beer also!! The large Frank's pizza was big enough that three shared it and still took some home. The ingredients were fresh, the crust was thin and cooked perfectly. The cannoli was freshly filled and absolutely delicious. The meal was excellent as was the service. It was a pleasure meeting Bobby, son of the owner, and learning about the restaurant from him. We'll be back!!!
My favorite pizza is The Donzie!! Lately I've been stopping in and getting the $6 lunch special with either pepperoni or cheese!! It always hits the spot!!!

A Saturday Treat. We stopped by Colonna's for the first time and we were glad we did. The pizza and service was great. We ordered two small pizzas and they were tasty, fresh and the crust was outstanding. We can't wait to go back.
Authentic and delicious. This pizza is an old school family based recipe and I look forward to every time we order...just a great taste and a really wonderful pizza..the only negative review on this page was obviously paid to down this place because he says it is no pizza man and then if you look at his other reviews he contradicts himself about that statement..it just really bugs me when people do that.. This pizza is what you remember from your childhood. As my Sicilian grandmother would say, "Manja, Manja!"

FANTASTIC FIND!!!. Two New Yorkers visit Louisiana, and immediately discover a pizza shop that is out of this world AMAZING!! While not exactly New York style, it is NY-NJ-CT style, aka, authentic, delicious pizza!!! The recipe for the dough is perfection. The ingredients for the toppings are super fresh and absolutely top quality. And yet the price is reasonable! Even better, the owners are 500% passionate about their product and seem to know pizza inside and out, left and right, top to bottom. It sure tastes like it. I tried their regular slices, plus pepperoni, and their muffuletta pizza, which was dynamite delicious!! If you want pizza and you don't go here, you're a fool!! Plus the $5 two slices and drink special is an incredible value. This is not your typical thin slice pizza. This is dense, flavorful pizza perfection.

The pizza here is just extremely good. I have been pleased every single time I go there. I can't speak about anything other than the pizza, but I've heard friends say their other items are good.
The pizza is just solid and tasty. I'm not going to choose which is better, Pizza Man or Colonna's. They're definitely both different and you go to each one for different reasons (i think). However, Colonna's tends to be my go to for "Fun Friday" pizza around Noon.

I'm born and raised in NYC. Colonna's is hands down the closest thing to NY pizza on the NORTHSHORE. We have been regulars for a year and love it.
Trying to compare Chicago style pizza to NY/New Haven pizza is like comparing apples to oranges. First the crust is made completely different from different ingredients and it's followed by a different sauces. They are two different pizzas. If Chicago style pizza is your favorite you would not like this pizza! I would not review this pizza and compare it to a Chicago pizza restaurant.

We have had three different pies, with white and traditional sauce, and all were exceptional! Our favorite by far, was the simple pepperoni pizza..It is knock your socks off fantastic!!!

Colonna's is without question the best pizza on the northshore. Make sure to get the pepperoni bread appitizer! The owner is always there cooking and is always fully engaged.

We tried three types of pizza and they were all very good. The veggie was very tasty with fresh toppings, the pepperoni was what you would expect in a NY pizza parlor and the Frank special was very tasty. The crust was among the best I have had and none of the pizzas were greasy. My thumbs up.
Finally. A good pizza in Covington. Picked up two pizzas Friday night so happy with the quality of of the crust and toppings. Nice people answering the phone and my questions. They even helped me carry my order to the car. The next day reheated the pizza was still good. My new find for a easy Friday night dinner.
Worth the Drive.... Being from San Antonio, I have had the benefit of tasting great pizza. I will confess that San Antonio has few restaurants that could truly be known for pizza, but there are enough to make the trip worth while. If you live in the New Orleans area as I was 2 weeks ago, make a point of going to Colonna's Pizzeria at 842 Collins Blvd. Covington, LA 70433. Bobby and his son do a great job adhering to the traditions that were started by the family, and the HUGE Frank's Special is worth the drive. It is loaded with everything but the kitchen sink, and the wait was negligible. If you don't know that you are going to be waiting for pizza, stick to the overpriced chains. (You have to cross a 26 mile span of Lake Ponchartrain to get to Covington.) And you HAVE to try the Pizza Bread. We had the pepperoni pizza bread, and the cheese was melted perfectly, and the dough was baked to a crunch. I can't wait to visit again.

Old World Pizza Not found anywhere. Bobby Colonna makes great old world pizza that just isn't found at your chain pizzeria's.

Some places have thin crust pizza that tastes like pizza on a cracker. This crust was super thin, but still had great flavor and wasn't crispy. I will be going back all the time! This is not a pizza joint. This is THE pizza joint! Astoundingly good pie from a cat who knows his work. Also of note for around here: has a REAL pizza oven, not a conveyor belt thing like they use to unload the trucks at WalMart, OK? That MATTERS! Pizza is made to order and the white pie is almost as good as the ones with the red sauce. Close call! Their Clam pizza (a white one made with olive oil, clams, a flick of salt, some crushed garlic and another flick of parm) will make you crazy it is sooo good! If it is great pie you seek, go here! If you want a fake bake pie with a tub of Ranch...get the door: it's Dominos!
