Went in with two granddaughters, ages 2 and 7....our waitress was Victoria, shortened Tori. She was very attentive, answering my 2 year old whenever she yelled out, Tori, I need you!! Other wait staff came by and chatted with the girl's (Sara). The food was great, service excellent...I have yet to have a bad experience at Chelos! Although, I go to the one in Smithfield weekly, I have frequented Cranston as well! Always consistently great food and staff...no complaints from me or my granddaughters! We love it! Thank you Tori for being extra good to my girl's!!!

This is a great "go to" restaurant. They always have good food. The menu always changes , and they have a good section of everything . The staff are always on top of their game and we never have an issue waiting for seating. It's a great place if you want to feed the fam for under $50 . And the 1/2 off apps when they run it are unbeatable. For those that like a little adult bev at dinner they have good drinks as well.

I got the chili to go and a slice of pumpkin cake. The order was ready when they said it would be. 3/22/2022 this time we had the corned beef on rye. The tender corned beef was more slabs than slices. The dessert of the month was Mint Chocolate Chip. Couldn't eat all the frosting. A little went a long way. However, if you like mint chocolate chip ice cream you should try this cake before it's gone.

Service was great, restaurant is really nice!!! Food was good but definitely could be better. Seemed like it was the person preparing it rather than the food it self. Definitely will give it another try though

As a Rhode Island native, I try not to give into the peer pressure of praising a restaurant only for the fact of it being a Rhode Island staple, However, what is there to complain about at Chelo's? My wife and I visited this location last night after doing some house shopping in the area. Our waiter Rob provided excellent service. He made us feel welcome and invited me to try a beer that certainly would not be a normal choice for me, the Queen's Porter, but at 1.50 for a Tall, what did I have to lose? I did not regret taking his suggestion and even ordered a short of the same beer later in the night. As for the food? You get the best of both worlds at Chelo's. On the one hand you can get the Clam Cakes and chowder that you've been ordering for decades and not be the least but disappointed. On the other hand, they offer an excellent seasonal menu full of options that you want to try, you find it hard to choose just one thing. My wife and I each started off with clam cakes and chowder and then shared (but came nowhere close to finishing) a strawberry caprese salad. We were full but as we were enjoying our date so much we decided to endulge in a slice of strawberry cheesecake. EVERYTHING that was brought to our table was delicious and was delivered by a friendly server who was easy to talk to. By the end of the night we had each had our own plate, shared a seasonal salad, had dessert, and each had enjoyed multiple drinks. What was the total? It wasn't $80, or even $60, our bill came out to just $51. We were extremely satisfied.

Huge, delish meal. Buffalo chicken salad was huge and did not dissapoint. Other diners had clam chowder and salmon burger and also seemed to enjoy theirs. :)
