I got the "pork platter" awesome BBQ, fills you up without emptying your wallet. My toddler loved the animal wall decorations.
I live in Atlanta but I’ve come to Crawfordville monthly all my life because my grandparents were born and raised here and we still have family here. As we all know, there aren’t many food choices in Crawfordville (Heavy’s and Mama ChuChu’s are it) so I hope that this place stays open for a long time and keeps its small town “hole in the wall” luster. Yes, there’s a lot of old memorabilia, dust, it’s dark, there’s some taxidermy, I’m sure they don’t wipe down the condiments but it’s authentic and just like Crawfordville, it hasn’t changed in all the years it’s been there. So either you can appreciate that about a place or as someone else said, drive another 20 minutes away to get to a fast food chain. As for the food, the burgers are seriously amazing - and not just for Crawfordville. I’m a bit of a burger connoisseur and they’re good in comparison to some of the better ones I’ve had elsewhere. I can’t speak on the BBQ but I have family that likes it just fine. Support this local business if you’re stopping through.
Delicious pork BBQ in a very rustic setting. The sweet potato pie is delicious, not too sweet, and the property has some great cars, trucks, and farm implements on it.
Always drive by and hadn't stopped, but I'm did today...Love this place!!
