Recently I visited the Pitas in Paradise on Elk Avenue in Crested Butte (they also have a location in Gunnison, which I have not yet visited).
It was lunchtime on a weekday, and the patio was packed on a beautiful June afternoon.

Fast service. Great location. The flavor was amazing, but there was A LOT of rice in the dish which I felt like was a cop out for actual food. The menu read $10ish for the plates but I was charged $11ish. Great for VEGAN souls! Not sure why I tipped so much, there isn’t anyone waiting on you.
Great place for lunch. Very casual atmosphere and the bartenders were very attentive and nice. Enjoyed their home made hummus and a Greek salad with chicken. Pitas is a fun place. Cool outdoor patio with high top style seating that looks out to the street. The food is a big winner with my kids, and I love the BBQ pulled pork pita. Check it out on a Sunday with a Broncos game... this is by far the most fun place to be on those days.
Sports bar and great food, what else do yall want? This place is the go-to for quick and cheap food on Elk Street. Is there better gyro elsewhere? Probably, but definitely nowhere within 100 miles of here!

One of the best happy hours on Elk Ave. great gyros with generous portions of food for a great deal. Excellent beers on tap, a plethora of cocktails and sports playing on tvs. Outdoor patio for the warmer months and friendly staff. Worth a visit if in the area.
