I am not a BBQ person, but the staff and environment were wonderful. And my father liked the BBQ.
The toast was perfectly cooked.
Mac and cheese was fresh, which is more than I can say for most restaurants. They are extremely nice.
This is a good place to stop, and eat.
And you can order sides by themselves.
Warning ⚠️ mac and cheese had bacon 🥓 on it, so if you do not want it on it just ask.
This is a great BBQ spot, despite my fears of it being a tourist trap due to all the billboards on the highway. The turkey sandwich was quite good and tender, but oddly my favorite part of the meal was the potato salad which was out of this world.
My only gripe with my experience was how long it took to prepare my takeout order. I waited around 12 minutes for what was a pretty basic order with just a single sandwich and some sides.
OK, weird name and a lot of billboards, but this is no just for travellers. They serve pretty good BBQ. The brisket is very good. Broasted chicken and fried catfish, too. Special mention for very good hush puppies, warm German potato salad and homemade(?) pickles!
Visiting from South Florida. Traveling on Historic Route 66. Reservations for Super 8 Hotel in Cuba, Mo. This was planned to eat here. Food was very good. Price was good, not great. Recommend
After seeing signs for ages as we passed thru Cuba, MO we finally stopped and had a sampling. The meat was tender and juicy, ribs were very meaty and well seasoned. It was a very tasty dining experience and the staff were friendly and attentive. The decor was very interesting as well. Overall and excellent dinner that I hope to have again!
Great BBQ spot to stop into on the drive out of St Louis. Not too far of the highway and the meats are tasty. The tables are sat on top of old sewing machines, very cool.
Only 3 miles off I-44 this is a great local BBq place for any traveler. The Brisket is what they’re known for, but don’t sleep on the Ribs either, they are delicious. With generous portions, reasonable prices, and a array of sauce choices, this place has flavor.
The sides were a little underwhelming, but you're here for the meat, so who cares.
