Cafe Laurent is the best kept secrete other than the neighborhood groupies!! However, this cafe's awesome rep has all of LA checking it out. Always bustling with delighted satisfied customers who enjoy delicious cuisine plus a full menu selection. This authentic French cafe produces the best croque monsieur this side of Paris. Perfect!! All the food is fresh, creatively presented and delicious. This upscale casual cafe is designed with a provenance interior and a garden outside umbrella-patio surrounded with beautiful flowers. Live music accompanies your experience on week-end brunch time. As for the service...always a friendly smile and willing to accommodate your needs. I highly suggest Cafe Laurent for a delicious meal and a positive experience. I's a sweet place!!
Had weekday breakfast here with husband and two grandsons. Ate on lovely shaded patio to the tune of birds chirping. Beautiful setting. I had a crepe that is usually made with chicken, but since I am vegetatian, they made it for me without the meat. It was luscious and I took home half for the next day. Grandsons had the kid's chocolate chip, Mickey mouse pancake and crepe with Nutella and strawberries. Hubby had egg special. We were all happy with meal and server who was very attentive. It was a little pricey but we will definitely come again for special occasions.
It's an authentic french cafe with a full menu, courteous staff and excellent french food. We had an awesome brunch here.
The staff at Cafe Laurent was so wonderful! We came on New Years, a busy Sunday, but our waiter Francisco and all those who helped us made the day extra special. The food was delish and the patio is lively and fun. Five stars!
The salmon Benedict is absolutely great, so are the omelettes. Well damn, everything there is good. The servers are great the back patio is great...a damn everything is really great.
Great place for breakfast or lunch. Everything was great especially the servers. It does get busy but if you want some fab food then it's worth the wait.
Been going here for years, family brunch with my kids, coffee to catch up with friends and breakfast with my husband - it’s a wonderful cafe and the staff are excellent.
Always great good and service here absolutely love the garden area to sit and have my latte. Y'all must visit this lovely place
We love having Sunday brunch on their beautiful patio with super good service and delicious food!
I love this place- food is excellent.. the staff is so friendly.
Every time I visit LA, Cafe Laurent is my absolute favorite brunch lunch place. Sweet patio, delicious quiche, crepes, omelettes, pastries and more.
Wish they'd open in Chicago.
Totally yum. The shrimp crepes and the madam were awesome
Always good food and amazing service. Viktorija always takes excellent care of us. Grandma loves it here. Bravo!
The food was excellent and the friendly crew meet my expectation ,will come back again ,recommended .
Delicious food in a delightful atmosphere.. My first time at Cafe Laurent, the salad greens with berries, grapefruit, and a complex vinaigrette knocked my socks off. Their breakfast omelette and a couple of other breakfast and lunch dishes have kept me and friends satisfied. I've recommended to several friends that they go there for dates, business discussions, and groups of friends. Quiet live music on Saturday and Sunday mornings provides a special treat. Parking on the street is easy. But bring coins and keep track of time while you're enjoying yourself.
My favorite brunch place in L.A.! I have gone alone, as well as with colleagues and friends. We've always loved the delicious food, outstanding service and musicians on the weekend. It's like a haven in a hectic week.
This restaurant is the perfect place for brunch.. It's an escape from the Gussie of everyday life. You are welcomed by people with great attitudes and are calmed by the cozy atmosphere. The food is delicious and made with great ingredients you can taste the freshness of farmers markets.
I recommend this restaurant to friends and family all the time!!!
The food is excellent, you must try the French toast it is totally different from any other place. Their eggs Benedict are served on a croissant instead of the traditional English muffin. This place is so much better since the new management.
I have only been here one time for their quiche, they have several. I got the one with black olives. I enjoyed it, very tasty and well seasoned. Texture is light and airy. I think I will return.
Sweet French cafe. I have eaten here at least six times. The food is reliable and tasty, a good value. There is a lovely funky garden with music some Sundays. I have been there with from 2-8 in my party and the service was always friendly.
I got the crêpe parisienne with ham and a side salad. The crepes are packed with flavor and big enough for 2 adults and a child to share. The coffee was just the right amount of caffeine to wake the dead without giving you the jitters. The service was excellent. My only regret was not sitting outside. I thought they only offered seating in front of the restaurant but there’s a covered patio in the back that makes for a perfect experience on warmer days. Highly recommend!
Excellent service and stellar food. A little on the pricier side, but they have such unique and well executed dishes, the place is also very cute. Ordered Le Reya, which was delicious. My only complain was that the chicken was quite dry and rubbery, but all of the other components of the sandwich were amazing and made up for it. Huge portions as well. Comes with two sides, I got salad and potatoes au gratin. Potatoes were phenomenal, salad was just average. If I’m in the area again, I wouldn’t mind eating here once more at all!
The First Time I tried Cafe Laurent is with my fellow office workers. So I enjoy the Chicken Salad on the day before Christmas. I haven’t been there for about maybe 10 years. So I went there with my dad. And I tried The Pain Perdu French Toast which is really good!! And yesterday I ate was the Eggs Benedict & I like it a lot!! So I recommend if you want to take either your family or friends for a good lunch!!
Our trip to Café Laurent was excellent. I received a free mocha for my birthday, and service was prompt and attentive.
The food was delicious as always (I had a custom Sweet Crêpe, and even though the menu doesn't list caramel as an option for the custom crêpes, they allowed me to choose it).
All servers and cooks continue to wear masks, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Because of the torrential rain, the patio seating was closed, and we were stuck with indoor seating that was a little closer than I'd prefer. However, despite their indoor seating area not being very large, they seated us as far from others as was possible with the crowd that came in. Nor did they attempt to rush us despite the aforementioned crowd.
We ordered a to-go meal in addition to dining in, and they had no problems accommodating two separate checks, and having the to-go meal ready just as we were prepared to leave.
Food is delicious. I got the croque madame and it was perfect. The potatoes au gratin are the star of the show though. They did not disappoint.
I really like this place for a breakfast or lunch (breakfast is served all day). It's a cute little cafe with French options but also some really delicious breakfast food. I always get the build your own omelette and fresh orange juice (it really is delicious and fresh!). The food comes out fairly quickly, is a significant portion of food, and the noise level isn't too bad. I will definitely be back.
