Ciao Bella. Dim lights, live entertainment in the middle of the floor, Red wine, soft warm bread, and that's only the beginning. I ordered Spaghetti AL Toscano( Spaghetti and lamb meatballs). This dished arrived to the table piping hot. The marinara sauce was delicious, mild and creamy, the Spaghetti was "AL dente" perfectly cooked, meatballs tender and fully cooked, my dish was superb couldn't of been better. I also tried the Fettuccine Al Mare( Fettuccine with tiger Shrimp) also a winner ,once again pasta was perfectly cooked but instead of a marinara sauce the fettuccine was smothered in white cream sauce (my personnel favorite:). topped with nice plump tiger shrimp. This night was perfect. The food couldn't of been better, the entertainment was a extra plus and the service was great. love this place.:)AW

Beautiful veal ossobucco, complementing brunello di montalcino-we ourselves a winner! Madonna, after leaving Italy a few years ago, I get home-sick, and crave my country's specialties...gotta say, Polentoni makes it like it is in Ferenze! Que piaci...

Great Food. This place has great food and great people. I had them cater my daughter's water polo banquet and I could not be happier. The food was on time, hot and delicious. It was so good and such good service that they are also catering our swim banquet. This is a great place to eat!

Great Dinner. I came here for dinner while on vacation. It was a very simple yet charming interior. The food though was very delicious and definitely authentic Italian. I will go here again if I am in the area again.

I'm a bit of a pizza snob, since I'm a relocated new yorker, and they make delicious pizza here! Try the four cheese- yummy!

Best Italian Restaurant in Culver City. Best Italian food that I have ever ate in my life. The atmosphere is just wonderfull and the original black and white italian movies just add an extra touch. The workers there are actually Italian and they treat you with the utmost respect. I would recommend the lasagna, the best i have ever had

This is a great neighborhood restaurant. The owners are also the servers and they truly care what you think abot the food and atmosphere, etc I have yet to have a bad experience or meal. I only wish they kept the amazing pana cota on the daily menu instead of as a special.

Roberto is the best. The service is not always the same though. Still giving it 5 stars for the food, price and the fact that Roberto always makes my wife and I feel at home. Just wish they would bring back their vodka sauce shrimp pizza. I'm a loyal customer.

first the food, then we'll talk service. basically everything is amazing. If you start with that mindset, and relieve yourself of typical LA stuck-up-ness, you'll do fine here. bread & garlic olive oil? amazing. and as long as she eats it too, you're still eligible for kisses later (bad breath? who cares). every single polenta (app) is ridiculously good, as are most of the salads. the calamari is a 4.5star item, darn close to top notch. I have yet to have an entree (7-8 visits now) that I was bummed on. I consider myself rather finicky when it comes to risotto, and theirs is some of the best. 4 diff types of risotto, but i like to get the chicken, then add the gorgonzola to it (they always do it, no charge). pizzas are decent, though I'd rather have a plated meal at a place like this. Desserts are usually decent, though honestly they tiramisu will likely come out still half frozen. ok by me b/c i don't mind, but a lot of ppl might not care for this. Service: this is where a lot of ppl have issue w/ Polentoni, but personally, as long as i have wine & bread, i'm ok waiting a little bit. of course, I've no problem flagging down a server who isn't "our server", so we've never experienced these "30min waits" that others write in their reviews. Also, the owner dude (old italian guy, cool old fart) is a pretty cool cat, and he's always around so if you have an issue, talk to him. they nearly always have groupon/amazon/livingsocial deals going, so most you'll pay for 2 (pre tax/tip) is $60, for apps/entree/dessert/wine, so that's pretty damn good, if you ask me.

This was a little gem Within a pile of rocks that I didn't see happening until it happened. I like to consider myself a hip and happening guy that loves to live for the spice of life and life was spicy tonight! Not in the literal sense of a three-alarm Grande Chorizo burrito from anywhere in Juarez, but more along the lines of the Happening sense of things a person feels like a moment is happening and one they would be glad to happen across its path if not for a memory or few. I'm glad I did because if I didn't I would just have another memory wasted in a pile of rocks. I made it happen because eating here tastes way better than chomping down another a pile of rocks... if eating a pile of gems really tastes any better.
