Pleasant surprise in Cumberland. Pretty easy to find in downtown area. Service was attentive and professional. Clean and moderately upscale facility. Food was well executed it could use a bit broader of menu and a touch of creativity. Overall worth the visit.
Great Food...Even Better Dessert. The food was great. The dessert was outstanding. The plastic water glasses, however, really need to be replaced with glass.
Great Italian Restaurant. One of the best italian restaurant meals I have ever had. Bolognese was awesome as was my wife's chicken Marsala. The cannoli's were out of this world. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Stopped in while passing through town and was pleasantly surprised. Almost everyone there seemed like frequent repeat customers and the staff was attentive without going overboard like some places do. The simple pasta entree took some time but turned out to be worth the wait. Portion sizes are just right for me. The chocolate cake (suggested by a different server while passing by) was really good - almost a liquid chocolate frosting. Look forward to visiting again on my return trip through the area.
Rehearsal Dinner 10/14/2011. Tony and his team created a fabulous rehearsal dinner for 60 people on Friday 10/14/2011. Everyone just raved about the food, but the service was outstanding. They couldn't have been more accomodating and eager for us to have the best experience ever. And attended other rehearsal dinners, and knowing what my friends have paid, the cost was very moderate for the level of food quality and service we received. We highly recommend this restaurant and Tony's staff for any event and for just a great dining experience anytime. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Cumberland. It was the perfect start to a perfectly beautiful wedding weekend.
Fantastic. This is the best restaurant in town... in many towns. We love the food (great quality) and love the service. The owner, Tony, spends time and care with us every time we're here. Love this place!
Good food. I always enjoy eating here, though have found one waitor in particular (M) to be a little rude at times (needs to leave his personal opinions of his customers at the door, I didn't ask to be seated in his section, next time I will request otherwise).
The food is always wonderful. Adrianne always makes you feel so welcome and is very friendly and genuine. The atmosphere is nice, and it always seems clean. They do seem to run out of things frequently, which is frustrating when you know what you want. Tony is a hottie too, but needs to loosen up a bit. Enjoy dining here and do so quite often. Recommend the food to folks all the time.
Highly Recommended!. Hands down, the best restaurant in Cumberland.
I’m not kidding you when I say this is one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to. My wife and I got lucky finding this place as we were hiking in West Virginia and came through Cumberland on the way back. We were in the mood for Italian food and decided to come here. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. You can tell everything is made from scratch. Even the balsamic vinegar and oil that comes with the bread is absolutely fantastic. I’ve had two separate meals and they are just so filled with flavor. All of the staff are super hospitable and it makes you feel like you’re at your grandmothers table for dinner. We drove down two hours one day just to eat here for dinner. The owner gave us a complementary glass of wine just for driving down. This is a hidden gem in Cumberland and a must go.
No words can explain how AMAZING the food was, and the STAFF were astonishing welcoming and so FRIENDLY. I made a reservation for my parents and I, my parents were celebrating their 57th anniversary and I couldn’t have asked for a more delicious and terrific waiter and staff. They gave us a complimentary dessert of our choice. Would absolutely recommend to anybody who loves Italian food and wonderful people to be around.
My partner and I stumbled across this Italian restaurant during our road trip down south. I was never really a fan of Italian food, but this place is truly incredible. The staff, the food, and the service were on point. It's unfortunate that this place isn't closer to home.
Our first visit was on our wedding anniversary. It was enchanting. From the moment we walked in the door till the moment we left it was delightful. The staff was thoughtful and so kind to give me options when I mentioned my food allergy. The food was the best. My husband said it reminded him of the fine dining he had when he lived in Europe. Best to everyone at Ottavianis. You are great people!
Excellent food. We sat on the patio which was an adjacent building that was torn down. Great use of downtown space and cooperation with the city of Cumberland.
We will rerun.
This is, by far, my favorite restaurant in the Cumberland area and in my top 3 in the world. The stellar cuisine is always cooked to perfection with new innovative ideas paired with old world charm. They have excellent menu choices, on point wine list selections with a full bar, and outstanding specials daily. Being family owned and operated they provide a lovely atmosphere and impeccable service for every occasion or just a quick bite to eat. I highly recommend dining here.
Tuesday open 5pm
Lovely experience!
Amazing flavors.
Warm welcome, with festive ambience. The place is nice, with a bar, a front and rear room and with a loft.
The menu is pretty complete and they have specials changing weekly
Now, from the start to the end, our waitress brought us delicious dishes. Taste and cooking were always perfect
I highly recommend the restaurant. It's not every day that you find a great place with a decent price. We had cocktails and wine.... I suggest the salmon as it was delicious. The Chilean sea bass is my favorite but they were sold out on it. The Tiramisu seems home made. I did not enjoy one like that for a long time.
Go there and enjoy the experience. Food, kindness and warm atmosphere.
