Amazing food and great service. Highly recommend even if you are not vegan. The “burgers” have so much flavor and the nachos are huge and delicious!! Great find
Let me start by saying the service is amazing. It doesn’t matter who your server is, everyone is there to help and answer questions. If they don’t know first hand, they ask and get you the information. Next, the FOOD. You want to literally order everything on the menu. I got a quinoa burger and the chipotle sauce is to die. The shakes are also a vegans dream! So creamy and perfect. I also took a vegan migas to-go because I knew I didn’t have time to stop the next morning and couldn’t live without trying it. My sister gets the bunny bowl almost each time she goes. Don’t forget the nacho cheese sauce! And let’s talk about the atmosphere. Diner appeal all over, funky Art Deco. It’s a cool vibe and a fun place. Thank you for being an awesome spot that is so friendly and accommodating to all vegan diet restrictions and preferences. You have done it right, Dallas!
Very busy place. You might want to call in and set a reservations for breakfast or lunch. Service was not out standing only because they forgot my root beer float that I order right from the start nor did anyone come back to check on us after we was served. The food was delicious you couldn't have asked for better vegan restaurant to eat at when it comes to the food. Over all it 4.5 star I certainly will go again.
You guys, this place is amazing! Diner food that's both vegan and taste absolutely bomb! The coffee was so good! Beautiful, friendly staff! This review comes from a meat eater, who is now considering the possibility of a meatless future, thank you!!
Fantastic place! Patty melt all the way!- and finish it off with some I-scream. The Death Star desert is amazing.
Though I am a meat eater, I'm trying to reduce the amount I eat. Don't remember the kind of vegan burger I had, but I was very impressed. The staff was even nice enough to let me sample their chips and nacho cheese substitute that was cashew-based instead of dairy. To my surprise, it was very good (vegan cheese is usually terrible IMHO). I will definitely be back for more.
I can't say enough about how amazing this place is. I have been to the Fort Worth and Dallas locations multiple times and I have never had a bad experience. As a vegan, it is nice to be able to get anything on the menu without having to ask what the ingredients are. I hope they continue to grow and open up more locations (especially in Grand Prairie/Arlington area).
Mrs. See took me for my birthday and it was Franktastic!!! Our first time on the weekend and we got in for brunch. I thoroughly enjoyed The Homer (2 pancakes,Scramble and 2 vegan sausage patties) plus we split a biscuits and gravy and she had the Breakfast Quesadilla. All to die for. Every time we eat there it is a super experience. GYSOT!!!
Megan, took care of me during my visit. 😘 I ordered the beyond burger 🍔 OMG finger licking 👅 good and the nachos to go lol 😆 I couldn’t pass them up.
We stopped in for today and it was delicious as always. I had the "Classic Patty Melt" which is one of my favorites. The service was excellent today too I was so excited they had Red Velvet cake so I got a piece to go (and a lemon cupcake which I ate on the way home) Thank you Spiral Diner. It's always so liberating to go out to eat and have an entire cruelty free menu to choose from AND not have to stress out asking for vegan accommodations that may or may not come out right. Oh, and, of course, no nasty, upsetting meat smells either
Let me just say EVERYTHING from the property, the service, down to the food was AMAZING!!! it was my first visit. I am a vegetarian and have tried many different vegans options but my family on the other hand has never tried vegan food. When I say it was one of the BEST VEGAN restaurants I have had. Julie and Darrell were the best!!! I most definitely will be returning and hopefully try all the menu options eventually.
What a fun place to eat! Being vegan, you don't get to eat at a diner very often. Not only is this place a diner, it is fully vegan. We decided to try this place out for breakfast and were not disappointed. I highly recommend getting the breakfast quesadilla which was so good! And don't forget to wash it all down with a warm cup of coffee!
Oh wow this is the vegan place to go to in Dallas! I was visiting for the weekend and came here twice because the food was so good and the ambience was really positive and upbeat. Really creative menu. First day I got the gluten free pancakes, sausage, Mac and cheese and home fries. Next day I got the Beyond Chik'n Tenders sandwiched between two pancakes and melted cheese. Everything was delicious!!!! The ingredients are fresh, flavorful, clean and high quality. Excellent customer service, best to make reservations in advance on the website so it guarantees a table with minimal waiting. For dessert I got the chocolate chip cookies. I wish they had something like this in New York.
The service was great and food AWESOME! I'm not a vegan, but this place may turn me around on that concept. The portions are huge. I highly recommend "The Triple Double". The atmosphere was like a true dinner. We had the Chili-Cheese Home Fries, and I could not tell the chili was not real meat! I'm definitely going back really soon. 😀
Small diner but great menu of various items to select from. ANAZING that everything is actually vegan. Prices are very reasonable (averaging 11-15 dollar per person. You get your own drinks which cost on average 2-4 dollars. They offer fresh grapes or oranges for fruit. They have vegan cakes that are large at a great price! Great for dating, families, meetings and eating solo. Clean restrooms also. Effective and genuine customer service towards guests. Expect 15-20 minute wait normally. Definitely recommended and suggested!!! ENJOY!
Ahhhh what a great place. Employees were all kind and friendly. Definitely has an old school diner atmosphere. Their menu is huge, so it was hard figuring out what to order! I suggest getting the nachos jr because it was just as big as the larger sized nachos. The cashew quinoa patty was super good, as was the pasta salad. Only downfall is that the shake we got was made with soy milk, and that wasn’t listed so on the menu. I should have asked what kind it was, because this girl is mildly allergic to soy milk, oops! It tasted so good but obviously this was a disappointment, more on my half than the diner. It did take a while to get our food out, but 10/10 would go back.
BEST vegan Mac n cheeze I've had yet!! Hot, gooey, cheesy goodness. The buffalo chicken sandwich was also on point, as was the pasta salad. The trio dip was really good too! I took some bakery items to go because I was too stuffed to eat any more, but if I could have, I would have gotten one of their shakes with whipped cream! They looked amazing!! I've been dying for a shake since I went vegan 5 months ago!
Really great menu selection.. I didn't even capture pics of the whole menu. They're known for their burgers and those all sounded delicious too. The nachos seemed to be popular as everyone around me was ordering them. I'll order those next time!
The staff were also SUPER friendly and patient... Even as I perused the entire bakery display for what seemed like forever before finally deciding to get a bunch of stuff to attempt bring back to Austin.. we will see if it makes it! 🤤
This place is a gem. I wish they'd open another one in Austin.
As far as vegan restaurants go, this one is absolutely delicious and offers a lot of vegan sweets as well as some tantalizing savory vegan entrees! Their service always makes me smile too! Thank you for the wonderfully nostalgic atmosphere and mouth watering treats!
A cute diner feel but everything is vegan, and VERY, VERY good. I still can't believe how bomb the Buffalo chicken nachos were! 😩 definitely wasn't that weird off tasting vegan cheese that some places like using. I just wish they had more dessert options! Wasn't anything too exciting offered for dessert unfortunately. But I definitely would go back to try more of the menu.
I am pretty new to a plant based diet, and I was very excited to try Spiral Diner. During this time where every restaurant is short staffed we did have a small wait BUT the staff made us feel very comfortable and welcome while waiting and as soon as we sat down we were very impressed! The nachos were the best! Pretty competitive to non vegan nachos if you ask me! I also had a breakfast plate and a delicious iced mocha with almond milk. Everything was delightful and I can’t wait to come back soon!
everything there was 100% vegan, the most amazing brunch i’ve ever had even if it was take-out i would even enjoy it better if we dine—in.
gluten-free pancakes omg the the die for lol, i loved them, also gotten 2 smoothies, phillis steak; they weren’t bad but not my fav dish, gotten also the night hawk with these amazing eggs tht felt better then “just egg” made fresh and from starch the flavor was on point it was that good.
in a great location wish had more parking worth the wait, worth the money even if it’s expensive this place is amazing can’t wait to come back for more. and get better pic for food pics 😎
Ya'll... seriously.... OH EM GEE!!!!
The food here is INSANELY delicious 😋
The atmosphere and staff are also wonderful, but I would probably still return even if they were rude 🤣 because the food is SOOOOO GOOD! I live exactly an hour away from both the Dallas and Denton locations, but will totally make the drive - if someone were to open a franchise in the Mckinney/Plano/Frisco area they would make all the monies 🥰
Overall this is a quality vegan restaurant. The nachos are fantastic and definitely not made for just one person, but you can get a Jr. sized which is still plenty of food. The Texas Hot Chikn sandwich is good, but is a bit on the tangy side. Their cupcakes and cookies are fantastic.
What a pleasant surprise for my first introduction to vegan food! From the first bite to my last I couldn’t tell that my ‘meat’ wasn’t meat. Our vegan guest enjoyed her first hamburger in a long time. And when our spicy Buffalo ‘chicken’ Salad said that it included avocado, I think, the kitchen liked us...the most chunks of avocado I’ve ever seen on any dish I ever eaten. Jump in! I’m taking my meat- loving husband here with no doubt in my mind that he will enjoy it.
Be sure to pickup a dessert...Ginger Peach pie with crystallized ginger pieces 😋..
on the way out or a unique vegan item from the market.
A bit Over-priced, but definitely good food!
And good portion sizes.
From what I've been told, their plant based chilly, beef, bacon tastes pretty much like the real thing.
Their loaded nachos are the best size for your buck deal!
Love This place and so glad we found it. VEGAN DELIGHT!! Their food is delicious. I am in love with the organic sodas. The food is extremely filling and the flavors just melt in your mouth. I strongly urge you to try it out! Doesn't matter if your a meat-eater, the food is satisfying! I'm hooked!
I enjoy this place is 100 percent vegan. The customer service is always great and welcoming. Cute little diner atmosphere. Makes me feel like I’m in a movie back in the 1950s. Those Cashew Quinoa Pattie’s are a delight on any entree you can have the option to put it on and so are the nachos.
I have tried several items off the menu and haven’t been disappointed. Very flavorful but also not healthy at all for you if you truly care about what you put in your body. This will be one of my go to when I need to have my balance and enjoy eating some good junk food. If you wonder what isn’t healthy? The Ketchup and Mustard that you are familiar with to get from any store has inorganic products in it not good for the body. Most of the condiments even the so called vegan butter has ingredients that creates inflammation and mucus in the body. It’s best to do your research.
Out of numerous vegan spots I have tried I would come back to this one. The variety of options are endless. It’s sad to say we don’t have to many places we can eat that is truly good for the body unless you literally make your own food or find a business that makes everything homemade. It’s coming. I can feel it.
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE!!! Omg I love this place!! The food is so delicious and I haven't stopped thinking about it since I visited last year in 2020. I can't wait to come back. Our waitress was one of the kindest, authentic waitresses I have ever met. My mom is hard of hearing so she was kind enough to give her recommendations and treated her like if she was her aunt. She wished us safe travels and even gave my mom a hug when we left.
