Pound for pound the best barbecue since leaving KC! My new favorite spot in Texas! The staff was great the food was smoked perfectly! Burnt ends to die for! The sauce makes you dream of the best KC cue in the world!
We walked in and the restaurant was empty so we were a little nervous. We asked our server why that was about and he explained that the cowboys were playing. He made some recommendations (burnt ends) so we started with appetizers. Burnt ends were a great start. People started coming in for dinner so we were more assured. Our server was so personable and told us about the neighborhood. Our meals were so delicious. I would highly recommend this place.
We just moved to Texas from KC and have been missing our BBQ more than anything and this place gave us the taste of home we have been craving! We are super picky about BBQ and this placed did a great job with it; get the burnt ends and ribs because they were in my top 3 best of all time. We loved the atmosphere of the place and the server was very knowledgeable. Thank you 18th and Vine for filling our hearts and stomachs with home cooking!
Loved the atmosphere, plus the food was amazing. I had the half bird and brussel sprouts and it was all delicious! My sister had the brisket, ribs and mashed potatoes and was also very pleased, and we split the fried okra and brownie. Such a great decision to come here. Plus our server, Monica, was the sweetest. Great service, ambiance and food. Keep it up!
The BBQ is here is so fresh & tender!!!
You wouldn't even require teeth to eat it!
All & all the atmosphere, service & mouth watering flavor from the Brisket & Burnt End Appetizers made this a place I'd return to without question!!!
Happy Memorial Day!!!
Delicious! BBQ full of flavor and so light and tender! Desserts were yummy too. Try it all. We did! Will be back and worth the drive from Shreveport, LA.
Being a Kansas City native this definitely filled my KC BBQ fix while on vacation here this weekend. I highly recommend the burnt ends, the brisket and the ribs. Wow.
Food and service are excellent! Nice selection on the menu. It's already hard to find beef ribs if you don't eat pork let alone good ones for the ride I recommend this place. Atmosphere is great too
As a KC native, this place tastes like home! Only place in TX we have found with burnt ends. We will definitely be back. Only place I will eat bbq from now on hahaha! So glad this place is here!
Sophia was our sever and was amazing.
We were in from out of town and came back twice! The service staff is incredible, the drinks are crafted to perfection and the food is outstanding! We shared the okra, brisket beef stroganoff, cup of Texas Chili and the fried apple pie! Well done, fabulous restaurant.
Great service and very well maintained! Had an issue with parking, but hey.. that’s anywhere downtown!
Highly recommend and we will go back!
PS. Order the burnt ends!!
As a long time foodie and connoisseur of the cue I had to punish myself to support another Jayhawk. I'm on a feeding tube now and it's a little uncomfortable going anywhere for food for a few reasons but I came on down for a KU watch party. I called ahead to see if my food could be blended for a tube and the answer from the chef was too quick for comfort. When I ordered I was thinking maybe it was only lip service but my food was brought to me in 2 glasses, blended perfectly!
With my newfound confidence I decided I would order 1 rib. I was told it couldn't be prepared like my lunch and I answered that I needed to see one, touch it, squeeze it, smell it and totally evaluate it. My plan was to then bring it home, bone it out and toss it in a blended meal at home. Once I saw that beautiful specimen, I had to literally risk my life for an in-depth analysis. As lovely as it looked all my doubt about the Kansas City style rib was tossed out and I knew I needed at least a taste to check the bite mark, taste and tenderness. I had one of the best experiences of my life and the only rib close was a no-sauce rib by the casino in Greenville, Mississippi. I now have a new standard for comparative purposes!
Thank you for accommodating this skinny, old tubie. You made my day!!
Rock Chalk Jayhawk Go KU!!
I'm impressed with their commitment to customer satisfaction. A few weeks ago, I placed a to-go order over the phone and sat down at the bar to wait for it. I sent a few texts, checked Facebook, and didn't notice that time had gone by. When I looked up, I was greeted with my delicious brisket tacos to go and free coupons for burnt ends and okra. Management felt that I had waited for too long and thought the situation required rectification. I applaud their efforts to ensure my experience was more than just positive. I'll keep coming back for that and the brisket.
Loved the experience. The bbq ribs were really good, Kansas style. The cocktails were delicious. The decor and ambiance is so cozy and sexy. The vintage jazz and blues singers artwork was breathtaking. The robot bringing your food is very cool. Our server, was awesome! I plan to return soon! 5 stars!
Ordered a brisket grilled cheese sandwich called The Lester & a cocktail - Pink Moon. The Lester ($15.50) came with a choice of side & I chose fries, but it feels like the fries came with a side of sandwich. Great way to fill you up without feeding you much. The sandwich was good, though. Pink Moon ($10) was satisfactory, tasted like grapefruit. My server, Erika, did great - 10/10. Would recommend eating here before it closes.
I honestly wasn't expecting much from 18th & Vine but I was more than pleasantly surprised. We ate at the bar and had a great conversation with the bartender, who made me a couple of great vodka tonics, about the history of the restaurant.
We started with the fried okra and it was so much more than I expected. I don't know what they used, but they were lightly battered and fried whole to a perfect Chrisp. I can honestly say that they have the best fried okra I've ever had and the portion is huge. I had the 2 meat plate and choose the ribs and the chicken along with collard greens. The chicken was nice and smokey and the ribs were good. The bartender, wish I remembered his name, told me ahead of time that the green were somewhat sweet and vinegary (not sure that's a word). I said what the hell and went with them anyway and glad that I did because they were good. My brother had the brisket, sausage, and brussel sprouts which he also said were good.
In summation, this place is a gem and I'll definitely return again soon.
I was pleasantly surprised with the food. This is a place that you found on Google and the reviews are amazing. I can honestly say that the food matches the reviews. The service was great to serve. Her gave great suggestions and I would definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Dallas.
Impressive presentation. The quality in food was beyond good and the atmosphere was perfect. The sauce tastes a little more carolina style rather than kc style to me- but it's an opinion. I wish the burnt ends weren't doused in the sweet bbq sauce, but they were good! Hey KC folks- THEY HAVE BOULEVARD WHEAT ON TAP! The fried okra was phenomenal! I love the jalapeno cheesy grits as well. Friendly and professional service helped with our fantastic experience.
Excellent!! This place is a must! One of my new favorites in Dallas! Brisket is super tender, delicious sauce. Great vegetables options! Staff is super nice too! Coming back on my next visit to the city! Love!
18th & Vine was the best BBQ in Dallas and one of the best BBQ places I have been in the country. We took the recommendation of the staff an started with the split ends. They came with a coating of BBQ sauce, pickled onions and pickles. The split ends were tender, smokey and juicy. (We ended up ordering two) we had the two meats and sides meal. We ordered brisket and ribs with sides of mac & cheese and greens. The ribs were tender with smoke flavor and held to the bone just enough. The brisket was tender, smoke and great flavor. Mac & cheese was ok, I personally like more real cheese blended in. The greens had good flavor with a bit to them. For desert we had the fried apple pie on a cinnamon cream base. It was amazing. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. All around it was an excellent experience.
I stumbled upon this place and it has good Ambiance and Food. I however mistakenly thought this was a wine bar due to the name. 18th & Vine didn't strike me as a place with Brisket, Collard Greens, Mac & Cheese and Seasonal Cobbler. I was close to giving this location a (3) star but it was really my mistake and misconception that may have done that. I will need to go back when I'm in a Beer & Brisket mood.
Burnt ends were so delicious. Definitely a must try. Ribs weren’t fall of the bone and I was expecting a little more. Brisket was pretty good but I would try a different entree if I went again. Got the Brownie A La Mode to finish it off and that was not let down!

We found out that this staple was closing tomorrow and wanted to make sure we supported!
Even though they were out of brisket, we ordered the ribs and chicken. The meat was very tender! The Mac and cheese was great as well.
Let us know when you open back up!
I've been to Dallas a couple of this times and consider this restaurant a must. It's more of a traditional sit down experience than a lot of the BBQ joints down there, and I like that. They do Kansas style BBQ, and it's some of the best BBQ I've had in my life.
I love the brisket, pork, chicken, ribs, and the jalepeno cheddar sausage was divine. You can't have great BBQ without great sides and the Mac and Cheese, herb fries, mashed potatoes, pork rinds, and more are exceptional.
The service has always been fantastic as well.
Had a wonderful lunch meeting here last week. The design and architecture elements of 18 & Vine are wonderful. I remember when you didn't even dare slow down when you were in this area. Now you have great dinning.
I knew I was in for a treat when I saw the locals standing around the bar enjoying burned tips and white wine.
This joint is a short jump, skip, and hop from #LoveField . So I f you find yourself flying into #Dallas stop on in and enjoy some good old fashion Kansas City style BBQ in the heart of Dallas.
Crazy but so good.
Great food and service. It is family style so perfect for 2 or many. During this visit we ordered half pound brisket and sausage, a full pound chicken, single serving collards and family size Mac and Cheese and Jalapeno Cheese Grits. Oh almost forgot the amazing friend okra starter
Kansas City style BBQ in Texas and as a BBQ afficiando, I can say almost everything was definitely on point. The brisket was so good we ordered everything they had left. We were disappointed that they only had one order of burnt ends because it was so good. We also ordered the cauliflower steak and it was a hit. The sausage was a little soggy but still tasty and the ribs were definitely on point. Would definitely come back here when I'm back in the area.
18th & Vine has the best brisket in Dallas. The restaurant has a jazz theme and the black leather seating and rich decor give it a lounge vibe. It’s a place you can go to in a polo or in a suit to enjoy a two ‘que plate with mac and cheese. The bartenders are excellent and can pair a great cocktail with your meats.
Food was ok. Had ribs, veggies and mashed potatoes. Biggest disappointment was the time. Very long waits between orders. Was seated right away. But the meal time was easily 2-2.5 hrs. Have an interesting robot (AGV) that moves food and dishes to/from the kitchen.
