What a beautiful restaurant, whether dining inside or on the fab patio. We have been in a small group, big group, with kids, without kids, for brunch and for dinner. It was fab every time. We recently went for a family Christmas dinner and the service was amazing (and patient with our photo requests). The food was incredible. Between the 8 of us I think we had a bit of everything, but the deviled eggs, brisket and ribs were the crowd favorites.

I wanted to surprise my mother at work with lunch from this place because I love it, unfortunately they accidentally omitted something from my takeout order so I went back for it. They were so kind and wonderful it definitely increased my love for such a jewel of a restaurant in our neighborhood. Will bring the whole family next time for sure! P.S. The brisket is top notch, mom is not a big meat eater but she ate 1/2 pound of brisket plus pulled pork like she had never tasted such a wonderful thing before.

We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table for 6, but it was well worth the wait. I wish I could remember our server's name but he was excellent and the food was great. I had the pulled pork and the smoke flavor was perfect...not too much, not too little. Some of the others had the stack n' mac. They loved it as well. When we were done the server invited us back to see the smoker. I plan on going back next time I'm in Dallas.

Found this place in YELP while I was at the Arboretum down the street. Definitely 5 star worthy . From the ambience, service and the food !!! Got the brisket and the Mac and cheese. The best !!!!

Love the location. Patio area is nice with huge big screen tv's to watch games on. The BBQ is so tender and lots of different selections. Brisket queso and the mac and cheese are my favorites. Staff is attentive and fun, especially Cheyenne. Makes the dining experience much more pleasurable. Highly recommend

Visited Smoky Rose for the first time today. Enjoyed everything about it comma including the indoor / outdoor seating, great service and absolutely delicious food. My Cuban sandwich was spectacular! Can't wait to share this gem with friends and family.

This was delightful to eat at!! Booths are enormous and comfortable. The menu was compact but has such fun and creative elevations are normal bar-type food. The Salmon BLT was such a fun twist on a BLT. The Salmon added so much more volume and flavor to the bacon and tomato sandwich - the chosen bread toasted well and not at all soggy by the time hit my table with 3 others meals. Their fries are easily among my favorite - super thin but a salty and crispy exterior from a nice startchy outside. Absolutely a worthwhile stop for anyone. The atmosphere is cozy with warm wood tones, warm toned leathers and lights. Valet parking is mandatory, make sure you tip and plan ahead, it's required because of the parking structure with the arboretum near and the fact they have more parking not immediately near the building.

I’ve gone to this beautiful restaurant many times. I love how there’s so much room and enough space to throw a little gathering with a big group. The food is very affordable and delicious. I’ve always stick with ribeye. The valet parking can be ridiculously. It’s a requirement to have them park the car even when it’s not busy. They will wait until you tip them before you leave.

What a great place to bring your family! We went as guests of my brother while in Dallas visiting. This place was packed! A beautiful evening under the breeze of the trees. We watched children and pups play on the outside play areas! 😅 I had pulled pork sandwich, it was outstanding! The wagyu burger was soooo tender. Definitely a place I'd return to again. Go! Enjoy! But the parking is awful, but the food is worth it!

The mandatory valet is silly. They should remove it during lunch and/or weekdays. I went during lunch. I tried to park myself since there was plenty of parking, but the guy flagged me down. When I was done, my car was 5 steps from the curb and I had to wait for the valet to basically reverse my car when I could have just walked to it. Like really?? Is this even necessary? Brisket sandwich was good. Brisket was well seasoned and tender. The BBQ sauce was good. On the sweeter side. I would not recommend the Mac and cheese, bland and not cheesy or seasoned. The atmosphere is really nice. Great outdoor seating options. They were setting up for an event.

I was near the Arboretum and some friends invited me to lunch. I was not expecting how beautiful this place was. I am a meat lover, and I asked for a salad with BBQ Brisket since my friends recommended the brisket. I was pleasantly surprised with how much meat they included in my salad. If I'm ever near this place, I am coming back. The only thing my friends warned me of was that it gets crowded on weekends. We were here during the week for lunch. So it was perfrct. The waitress was fantastic refilling our drinks constantly (diet coke and sparkling water). The valet didn't ask for a particular amount. I appreciated that.

My son and I stopped by for an early dinner. The establishment is beautiful. You can dine inside, outside, or under the covered patio. They also have a bar for the outside/ patio area. The service was good and the waitstaff was friendly. We were seated immediately. The brisket nachos were good but the brisket tacos were mostly fat. We also tried the burnt ends, Mac and cheese and the sausage. Everything was tasty. I will go back to try some other things on the menu. My only gripe was the excessive amount of flies. They provide a contraption to swat the flies away but it didn’t work well for us. We literally had to cover our entire plate with the napkin in between bites. They were even in and on our cups. We eventually packed our food to go. I didn’t have the best experience, but I will visit again and dine inside.

Smoky Rose is a staple of White Rock and a must-try for all lovers of BBQ! I came to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday last week! The design of Smoky Rose is favorable to Birthday parties or group gatherings (whether outside or inside). The architect deserves and interior designer deserve a reward! The outside patio with lighted trees makes for great pictures! The weather was great and got better as the evening progressed. This culminated to splendid evening spent with my girlfriend, her family and closest friends! The food was remarkable! We shared what was called a Full Board (under the 'Smoke' - House Meats section) with all the award-winning smokehouse meats. I highly recommend either this if you have a group like ours with 10 people or more or the Half Board if you have a group with 6 people or more. The Full Board is enough to feed 15 people (or 8 hungry men)! We also got the House Mac (large) and the Garlic Sautéed Green Beans (large) 😋. The pork and the brisket are two of the best meats and the BBQ compliments all the meats. My girlfriend covers all the meats in spectacular detail and gives some great feedback (see her review below)! I also ordered the Blood Orange Mule for a drink. I loved it since I like Moscow mules and if you like sweet drinks, you have to come and it! One really cool detail at the restaurant is their fly-swatters that from a distance look like a mini-tower with helicopter rotor blades. They really work! Evidenced by how the flies were quickly chased away from when our food came to when the service brought them out. The service itself could improve overall, besides the host who was very kind and hospitable! The valet was also did a great job and were very kind! They allowed us to spend extra time in the parking lot for my girlfriend to receive her gifts from her parents (Side note: Her parents gave her Amazing gifts 🎉)! I would definitely come again and bring a group to enjoy an afternoon/evening with good BBQ! "I celebrated my birthday at Smoky Rose this past week! The food was amazing! We shared a full size board of assorted barbecue meats along with sides like Mac n cheese and green beans! We split among 7 people and there were still leftovers! My favorite item is the sliced brisket. Next time I go I will be ordering that alone because it was so good! The board also comes with tortillas and barbecue sauce that pairs well with all the meats (sausage, ribs, chicken, Turkey, pulled pork, and brisket). I will say although the food was fantastic, the service was not as great and the bar was slow. (Minus the host, he was very kind and welcoming). It wasn’t that busy either, but maybe staffing was an issue that day. I also ordered the signature smoky rose cocktail which had gin, elderflower and lemon in it. I love all of those ingredients but the drink was a bit too tart and watered down. We sat in the patio which was nice as the weather was beautiful and it made for quite an enjoyable evening. If they stayed open past 9 we definitely would have orders more! Next time I will try this place on the weekend or a day where we can make it earlier for dinner. Overall I’d rate our experience a 3.5! I’d still like to go back in the future and try other selections on the menu."

The food was fantastic. Omg. Definitely worth getting a reservation and dealing with the free valet. The prices were reasonable and the wait for the food was appropriate. Each dish we ordered was fantastic and really well executed. I could not find any fault with the food or service. It was a great experience.

Must order items, an Old Fashioned Smoked drink, brisket queso, brisket street tacos. The atmosphere is awesome. Be advised it is mixed interior and exterior seating. In texas summers you may want the interior. Great place to eat after strolling the Arboretum.

This is one of the more casual venues for date night but the outdoor seating, greenery and lights gives this restaurant a rustic but romantic feel. We had drinks and a Cobb salad but will likely return to try the barbecue. There was a wedding reception during our visit and I completely understand; beautiful setting.

What a fantastic restaurant right by the Dallas Arboretum. It looked so inviting we decided to give it a try. Delicious brisket. Loved the jalapeño fritters...so yummy. What I loved most was the fantastic decor and wonderfully inviting atmosphere. It is really cute.

Very nice place. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy sitting outside wherever. I'd recommend sitting next to your partner in front of the fire on a slightly chilly day. Food isn't the best food ever but it is good. Drinks are good. Music is awesome but it's mostly the place that's enjoyable.
