Ana was our waitress and she was one of the best we've ever had anywhere. She was attentive, didn't forget requests and overall very polite and accomodating. The food was great, particularly the chips and salsa, they were outstanding and the place as a whole has a cozy charm about it. We definitely found our favorite Go-to local texmex place.
"Muchas Gracias" to the Manager and Staff who allowed me to invade their dining room with 49 guests to celebrate my 66th birthday.
The Food was High Quality, the Service was impeccable, and the wait staff so very generous in their efforts to please.
Many of us in that group, have been coming to "this" El Fenix since the 1950's. What better place could we choose to celebrate than a place that is comfortable and familiar and wonderful.

The best location is at Casa Linda Shopping Center. (Been to them all!) Right behind that is the original downtown Dallas. Both outstanding and very deserving of a 5 stars! The worse one is in McKinney. The service is horrible there! It's the only one we have ever had such a bad experience that we will never return there.
My wife and I love El Fenix. The service has always been outstanding. The food is always top quality. I have yet to have a bad experience at this restaurant.
I always leave full and the price is always right.
Side note ... Wednesday is 5.99 enchilada night.
Maybe I come here too often! Today my waitress, Luna, had my drink in her hand before I even ordered it. So I asked her to guess what meal I would order and she knew! Love this place!
I have been going there since I moved to Pleasant Grovre 1978. The food is consistent and very good. Never sent anything back to the kitchen. Wonderful staff. Excellent food.
Rocky was our waiter. He is always happy to see us. Excellent service. I must say that we go often enough that they recognize us.

Delicious Tex Mex at a reasonable price!!! The fish tacos were extremely tasty and the Tilapia was also amazing!! The service was also fast and efficient and made the whole meal even better!! Highly recommend their margaritas as well!
I don't know what these bad reviewers were thinking. But to each their own. My husband and I both had the El Jefe platter. OMG!! Fantastic loved the food. Our waitress was fast, and amazing. Will definitely be back š. Wish I could give more stars. This was after I finished lol. Amazing!!
We arrived right at opening on a Friday and it wasnāt crowded at all. We were seated immediately and our server came to the table as soon as we sat down. The chips and salsa were delicious. We ordered from the lunch menu and were very pleased. The food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. Our server was a sweet older lady who checked on us often. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, beef taco with rice and beans. The white cream sauce was so good!!! My margarita swirl was also tasty and refreshing. This was our second visit, and we will definitely return when in town.
This El Fenix is a very one to visit and have a great lunch. We had the delicious sour cream chicken enchiladas. I was so hungry though, I cut right into them so I didnāt get a picture lol. Anyhow, hereās a picture of our tasty dessert. Itās always so nice to have the servers that know exactly what you need and anticipate all of your drink refills and chips plus salsa and that you donāt have to be asking them for things, they anticipate them. Thatās always a refreshing point.

We had a party of 7, and they had chips and salsa ready for us when we arrived. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.
They have the best chips I've ever had. I also had their tamale and a sour cream and chicken enchilada along with mineral water with lime and tajin. It was the perfect meal at the perfect price.
The staff allowed us to stay about 30 minutes after our meal so we could continue to catch up.
Very nice place, love the atmosphere. Food is fantastic! I ate on the lunch menu, and it was perfect. Highly recommended, and I will be back for more.

has changed since I was
last there. I wanted to try
something new. I had a
salad, taco, and tostado &
my drink, plus flour tortillas
and butter. My meal was
there at the table before I
expected. I was disappointed my server
wasn't attentive to keeping
my drink full. Other than
that, I thoroughly enjoyed
my meal. Very delicious!!
