Wife read reviews about this place & we gave it a try & we are glad we did. Food was hot & fresh & the tenders were well....... "TENDER"! Break as soon as you attempt to split it. Not greasy at all. High recommend you go!
Best fried chicken I've found in Dallas, especially their chicken tenders. Sides are also good home-cooking. They offer an array of sauces to choose from and their biscuits are delicious. It's hidden behind a laundromat but is convenient to any of the downtown hospitals/medical district. Chicken is made fresh and can have a long wait so call ahead. Limited seating inside. It is more of a takeaway kind of place. Workers are super friendly.
This place right here is the real deal. Had a buddy tell me about this place a few weeks ago, so i decided to give it a try, and I'm sure glad I did. I would recommend calling in your order because the chicken is made fresh. Tenders are nice and juicy, and not heavily battered, fully of flavor. Also they have Mike's special spicy seasoning at the counter, which gives the chicken a great kick. I will definitely be back
Everything was cooked fresh made to order and tasted fantastic. The chicken was nice and crispy and full of flavor. Biscuits were a soft, fluffy golden brown topped with a glaze of honey. The coleslaw and fries were also delicious.
The only negative was that our original order was made incorrectly, but they made up for it with complimentary items as well as having excellent customer service.
Next time we're in Dallas it'll be one of our first stops.

who knew one of the best chicken places in the DFW area would be a little area next to a laundromat? The food feeds your eyes and your stomach.
While the building and parking lot may be small and quaint, the service, ambiance and FOOD are 10/10. They make you feel at home as soon as you step in the door and the decor is a nice cozy feel. I went a little after "dinner time" and the place was chill and quiet.
The food was made to order and I'm sure they have perfected every item on their menu because everything tasted like perfection. The tenders had a nice light, crispy outer layer with a very juicy, tender, flavorful piece of meat inside. The fries were perfectly cooked, not too soggy or well done, and the creamy corn was not too sweet or creamy, but just right. Also, comes with your choice of homemade dipping sauce which is not needed but definitely complements the chicken perfectly. I got the buffalo sauce , which was recommended, and it was a very delicious sauce if you like the buffalo sauce flavor. Not to mention, the price was very well worth and I was contemplating going to order seconds. I tried some of my friends bone-in chicken, and it was just as good, if not better as it had me wanting to get some breast and wings as well. Just as juicy and flavorful with a crispy outer shell.
I need to go back and try the dark meat, and all the bone-in chicken after getting just a taste. You have to come here and enjoy this delicious chicken. Worth the price, drive and wait.
Another chicken spot I was recommended to try. Very good fried chicken. Reminds me of Korean fried chicken. Hot and fresh to order. I love that!! My only dislike is that they use frozen biscuits and I'm guessing powdered mashed potatoes but it states homemade. Try it for yourself. Great chicken though!!
The chicken was crunchy and hot but not too hot. Fries were crispy and fresh and they use real potatoes for the mashed potatoes not that instant mess. Hubby loved the honey mustard went back and ordered more lol.
Everything is cooked to order so there will be a little wait but its worth it. Everything was cooked perfectly. Place is a bit small for the amount of people it brings in so limited seating.
I would get everything again, minus the mashed potatoes, not bad just not near as good as the other sides. I highly recommend getting the spicy chicken and try all the dipping sauces!
UPDATE: had to give this spot 5 stars because my husband had us back here the next day! He loves it!!!!! Oh and I tried the Mac & cheese today and it was good too!
First time here because we see Dre in Dallas eating this food all the time! Good pick because my hubby thought this food was delicious!! I liked it as well. He had the chicken pieces with corn and beans and I had the tenders. I was surprised that it was pretty darn good. Quick service. Small dining room so go early! That biscuit though — YUM!
juicy and pipping hot chicken packed full of flavor!!! the skin is so crispy and seasoned extremely well. i would definitely recommend getting the dark meat and not the white bc it’s juicier. i love their sides as well! the cream corn is amazing, fries are fire, you can’t go wrong with their mash potatoes, and their biscuits are actually crafted by a greek god. it’s fluffy and glazed with honey, amazing!! parking is kind of hard, but definitely worth the trouble!

Hard to sing enough praises about this place. Mike's is one of the go-to places I would bring people to who are visiting Dallas. The chicken is freshly made, so crispy, and so juicy and tender. There is a little bit of a wait but worth it every time I take that first bite. Unrivaled in Dallas until I'm proven otherwise. Probably top 2 fried chicken places I've been to in my life. I used to go for the tenders, but I tried the bone in once and can't go back. Dark meat is superb. But the white meat really shines. The breast is not quite like thigh meat yet, but is juicy, plump, and not to mention huge. Wings are phenomenal. And the sides are just the cherry on top. Fries are awesome of course, but don't sleep on the green beans (taste stir fried and fresh!) and the creamed corn and also the beans (a little spicy). Like I said, can't sing enough praises about this place but do mind the wait and for this location, the parking is a little bit of a hassle. I think you get one free sauce per order. Chipotle Mayo or Buffalo are probably my go to. Ranch is good too. You can order ahead online to skip the wait!
9/2023 Ordered the 4 tenders ($13) and 3 pc dark chicken ($11.5). Tenders came out crispy and unlike any other chicken shop I tried so far. Chicken was crispy outside and quite juicy inside. Tenders come with 2 sauces, chicken comes with one. Buffalo sauce was not as tangy as usual ones. Green beans are seasoned. Creamy corn was my favorite side. Biscuit was crispy outside and soft inside, and drizzled with honey on top. Food came out within 6 min of ordering during lunch hour.
You know how half the things on Eater aren’t actually worth it? This is NOT THAT! Hype is well deserved! Perfect spicy fried fried chicken. Actually spicy, but not so bad it hurts. Sides are all good and service is good too. Young guy at front with glasses is super sweet, and the guy yelling out the orders is super helpful too. They were renovating at the time I went, so the restroom was in the laundromat, and that was odd, but the food was SO GOOD!
